Mark Wahlberg Donates $1.5 Million Film Fee After Outcry

(NEW YORK) — Following an outcry over a significant disparity in pay between co-stars, Mark Wahlberg agreed Saturday to donate the $ 1.5 million he earned for reshoots for “All the Money in the World” to the sexual misconduct defense initiative Time’s Up.

Wahlberg said he’ll donate the money in the name of his co-star, Michelle Williams, who reportedly made less than $ 1,000 on the reshoots.

“I 100% support the fight for fair pay,” Wahlberg said in a statement.

The announcement Saturday came after directors and stars, including Jessica Chastain and Judd Apatow, shared their shock at reports of the huge pay disparity for the Ridley Scott film. The 10 days of reshoots were necessary after Kevin Spacey was replaced by Christopher Plummer when accusations of sexual misconduct surfaced against Spacey. USA Today reported Williams was paid less than $ 1,000 for the 10 days.

Both Williams and Plummer were nominated for Golden Globes for their performances.

Talent agency William Morris Endeavor, which represents both Williams and Wahlberg, said it will donate an additional $ 500,000 to Time’s Up. The agency said in a statement that wage disparity conversations should continue and “we are committed to being part of the solution.”

Williams had no immediate comment Saturday, according to publicist Mara Buxbaum.

Intel advises customers not to download Spectre patch after reboot problems

Intel Spectre patch has bug problems

Intel has begun “quietly advising some customers to hold off installing patches” related to the recent Spectre vulnerability, according to emails seen by the Wall Street Journal, and confirmed by a blog post from Intel. The company is reportedly telling cloud-center customers and computer manufacturers to hold off on applying some recent updates, due to a bug in the patch that appears to be causing reboot problems for some systems.

“We have received reports from a few customers of higher system reboots after applying firmware updates,” Intel EVP Navin Shenoy said in a statement. “Specifically, these systems are running Intel Broadwell and Haswell CPUs for both client and data center. We are working quickly with these customers to understand, diagnose and address this reboot issue.”

Psychic Medium Predicts Keri Hilson’s Musical Comeback After She ‘Hit Rock Bottom’

What happened to Keri Hilson?

After her last album No Boys Allowed in 2010, the 35-year-old practically disappeared from the spotlight.

For the next 8 years, Hilson’s dating pursuits peaked more public interest than her music. After dating NBA player Serge Ibaka and a recent split from retired NFL player Ricardo Lockette, Hilson is seeking answers from the great beyond to redirect the course of her life.

Celebrity psychic medium Reginald Lewis advised Keri on a recent episode of The Steve Harvey Jones. He told the ‘Pretty Girl Rock’ singer that new career and romantic endeavors were on the horizon.

“It’s kind of a comeback because I hit rock bottom a few times,” Keri said.

“I’m crawling back to walking in my purpose and using my gifts… I had to give up music for a while.”

An Alabama Player Proposed To His Girlfriend After His Team’s Stunning Comeback

A thrilling overtime victory at the College Football Playoff National Championship Monday night just wasn’t enough for this Alabama offensive lineman.

While celebrating the latest in Alabama’s many recent national championships, Crimson Tide player Bradley Bozeman got down on one knee on the field and proposed to his girlfriend, former Alabama basketball player Nikki Hegstetter.

Appearing shocked, Hegstetter covered her mouth, teared up and nodded before Bozeman placed the ring on her finger.

The couple embraced on the Mercedes-Benz Stadium field in Atlanta as onlookers smiled and took photos.

But the proposal amid cheering fans and players almost didn’t happen, according to Al.com. That’s because Bozeman planned only to propose in the way that he did if the Crimson Tide won.

Fortunately for the newly engaged couple, Alabama came back from a 13-point deficit at halftime for a shocking overtime victory against the Georgia Bulldogs.

After Alabama missed a field goal that would have secured their win at the end of the fourth quarter, the two teams faced off in overtime. With Georgia up 23-20 thanks to a field goal, Alabama’s freshman quarterback Tua Tagovailoa threw a 41-yard pass to wide receiver DeVonta Smith, who scored the game-winning touchdown.

While Bozeman punctuated the 26-23 victory with a proposal, perhaps Alabama coach Nick Saban was just as thrilled Monday night. With Alabama’s comeback, Saban tied the record for most college football wins in history with six national championships.

According to Johnny Galecki, “The Big Bang Theory” is probably ending after Season 12

According to Johnny Galecki, “The Big Bang Theory” is probably ending after Season 12

The Big Bang Theory is currently in its 11th season. And even though we don’t want to think about it, all good things must come to an end. Johnny Galecki just hinted that The Big Bang Theory may end after Season 12, and we’re already in tears. We’ve been lucky to have the show in our lives since 2007. Can’t it just last forever?!

According to People, Galecki revealed the info at the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Saturday, January 6th. “The only manner in which the cast has discussed wrapping [The Big Bang Theory] has been that we’re all going to be very sad when that day comes,” Galecki told reporters, according to TV Line. “But I think at this point everyone’s very comfortable with 12 seasons being a good time to go home and see our families.”

Again, cue our tears. After all, at this point, we know The Big Bang Theory characters so well. It’s like they’re friends of ours, and we’re constantly wondering what they’re up to. Of course, we’ll still have Young Sheldon, the Big Bang Theory spinoff. In fact, it was just renewed for a second season, Deadline reports.

If you haven’t seen the show yet — which revolves around a young Sheldon, of course — you’re missing out. Young Sheldon is the #1 new comedy and the #2 comedy on television, according to recent ratings, Deadline Hollywood reported.

What’s first? The Big Bang Theory, of course. No surprise there!

Which is why we’re so sad that the next season of The Big Bang Theory might be the show’s last.

While we wait to see what happens, we’re glad we have Young Sheldon.

Young Sheldon has made a huge impact on our schedule in the short time it’s been on the air,” Kelly Kahl, President, CBS Entertainment, said in a statement, reported Entertainment Weekly. “While the show’s DNA is clearly rooted in The Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon has staked out its own place in the TV universe with a unique creative tone, brilliant writing and a gifted multi-generational cast.”

BRB, praying to the TV gods.

Donovan McNabb and Eric Davis Dismissed From ESPN After Sexual Misconduct Probe

(NEW YORK) — Donovan McNabb and Eric Davis have been dismissed from ESPN following an investigation into accusations of sexual misconduct while employed at NFL Network.

ESPN says in a statement Saturday “they are no longer working for us.” The pair worked for ESPN Radio and were taken off the air Dec. 12, pending an internal investigation.

McNabb and Davis, both former NFL players, were among seven men named in a lawsuit against NFL Enterprises filed in December by former NFL Network wardrobe stylist Jami Cantor.

According to the lawsuit, McNabb allegedly sent Cantor sexually explicit messages during his time at NFL Network. Davis is accused of making lewd comments.

Cantor worked at NFL Network for a decade until she was fired in October 2016. In the suit, she alleges age and sex discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination and defamation.

ABC Cancels ‘The Mayor’ After One Season

Freshman comedy “The Mayor” did not earn a second season in office.

Despite an order for three backup scripts, ABC has opted to cancel the rookie political comedy at 13 episodes. Four unaired episodes of the series remain and the comedy has been pulled off the air ahead of its January return, with ABC slotting “Modern Family” repeats for the time being, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Executive produced by Hamilton’s Daveed Diggs, the comedy starred Brandon Micheal Hall as an idealistic rapper who runs for mayor to promote his music career and ends up winning.

Producers ABC Studios will shop the comedy to other networks, THR reports.

More from THR below:

The Mayor was paired with Black-ish on ABC’s Tuesday comedy lineup. Despite the strong lead-in, The Mayor — from showrunner Jeremy Bronson (Speechless) — opened to a 1.2 rating in the all-important adults 18-49 demographic. The overall live viewership has continued to slide, with its Nov. 14 installment registering a paltry 2.45 million total viewers as it airs opposite NBC’s This Is Us. Delayed viewing on the single-camera comedy co-starring Lea Michele (Glee) remains soft. The series has aired seven of its 13 episodes and will wrap production.

Bronson recently scored a series order at Netflix for a family comedy starring Rev. Run (of Run DMC fame) that is being produced by ABC Studios and Amblin.

The Mayor was ABC’s lone comedy to launch in the fall. The network’s half-hour bench includes its Roseanne revival, family comedy Splitting Up and Zach Braff vehicle Alex, Inc. On the drama side, ABC has yet to schedule The Crossing, Deception, Shondaland’s For the People and the Grey’s Anatomy spinoff as the network has little real estate remaining.

University of Arizona Football Coach Fired Days After Sexual Harassment Investigation

Arizona has fired football coach Rich Rodriguez after a notice of claim was filed with the state attorney general’s office alleging he ran a hostile workplace.

The Arizona Daily Star revealed the notice of claim on Tuesday after making a public-records request. The paper said the claim was filed last Thursday by a former employee. A notice of claim is a legal document that signals a lawsuit will be filed.

The Daily Star reported that the notice was filed after the University’s Office of Institutional Equity retained outside counsel to investigate allegations of sexual harassment from a former employee. The investigation, which concluded last week, did not find enough to fire Rodriguez, but the university became concerned with the “climate and direction” of the program.

Rodriguez issued a statement after he was fired, saying the investigation concerned a former administrative assistant who threated a $ 7.5 million lawsuit alleging harassment. Rodriguez said he cooperated with the investigation and passed a voluntary polygraph test, noting the complainant did not cooperate with the investigation.

Rodriguez also acknowledged an extramarital affair with a woman not affiliated with the university, saying he apologized to his wife and family and is working to regain their trust.

“I am not a perfect man, but the claims by my former assistant are simply not true and her demands for a financial settlement are outrageous,” Rodriguez said. “I am saddened that these accusations and investigation have caused my family additional stress.”

Arizona athletic director Dave Heeke announced Rodriguez’s firing in a statement issued by the school and said the separation terms of his contract will be honored.

“After conducting a thorough evaluation of our football program and its leadership, both on and off the field, President Robbins and I feel it is in the best interest of the University of Arizona and our athletics department to go in a new direction,” Heeke said. “We’ll move through the coaching search in an effort to identify a head coach that will build a solid foundation for our program and create an identity of Arizona football that the university, Tucson and southern Arizona communities can be proud of. We’re excited about the future of our football program and we look forward to introducing our new head coach at the completion of the search process.”

Rodriguez arrived in Tucson after an ugly split with Michigan, where he coached for three seasons. He had an immediate impact on the Wildcats, leading them to four straight bowl games.

Arizona took a step back last season, losing eight straight games while finishing 3-9. The Wildcats were one of college football’s more surprising teams this season after opening 6-2. They fell flat after that, losing four of their final five, including a 38-35 setback against Purdue in the Holiday Bowl.

Rodriguez was 43-39 in six seasons at Arizona.

In August, Creative Artists Agency, which represented him until 2015, sued Rodriguez on claims he owed it more than $ 230,000 in past-due fees.

Say What Now? Teens Under Investigation After ‘Black People are Trash’ Snapchat Video Goes Viral

A California high school student is under investigation by her school district after a racist video she recorded on Snapchat went viral on social media.

In the video, she recorded herself saying all sorts of racist foolishness.

“Black people are trash; they need to die,” she says in the video. As the girl speaks, she turns the camera to her friend, who pretends to be shocked before giggling in agreement.

The girl continues her racist rant:

“When the police were killing all those black people I was so happy, because I was like ‘Fuck black people, go die bitches.’”

According to CBS 13 Sacramento, her entire community is demanding an apology.

“If it was a joke, it wasn’t a funny joke at all,” said Camryn Tomlin. She couldn’t believe her ears when she saw the video on Twitter a few days ago.

Tomlin just graduated from Pleasant Grove High along with her cousin Breann Bray.

“It’s not right; I think she should be suspended if not even more,” Bray said.

“It’s as hateful as it gets, the type of words and the phrases she uses are despicable,” said Alin Cintean, a Sacramento attorney.

But Cintean says no crime has been committed.

“There’s nothing in there that would constitute a crime, there’s no immediate incitement to violence,” Cintean added.

Cintean says the U.S. Supreme Court gives public high schools more leeway to discipline students if the school believes their words are a threat.

The Elk Grove Unified School District sent CBS 13 a statement Wednesday responding to the racist post, saying the school is working with the students in the video and their families and investigating the incident.

“The school district needs to step up and do its part, they need to educate,” said Sharie Thompson, a member of the Black community.

The post wasn’t a surprise for Thompson, who has recently received threats at her Elk Grove salon.

She says the district needs to adopt new policies around racism, starting with the girl whose video whipped up a Twitter firestorm.

“Shame on you,” Thompson said, referring to the girl and her family.

Since the girl is a minor, news outlets aren’t reporting her name.

We’re going to leave this right … here:

Kyle Richards’ Husband Speaks Out After Home Burglary

Kyle Richards‘ husband, Mauricio Umansky, spoke out in an Instagram post on Saturday, December 30, after more than $ 1 million worth of items was reportedly stolen from their $ 8.2 million home.

As previously reported, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars’ home in Encino, California, was broken into on Wednesday, December 27, while the family was on vacation in Aspen, Colorado.

TMZ reported that burglars broke a window and stole more than $ 1 million in jewelry, including $ 150,000 worth of watches owned by Umansky. The thieves also took all of Richards’ jewelry except for what she brought with her on vacation.

Her gold wedding band with the inscription “Mauricio forever” was taken, along with $ 100,000 earrings Umansky, 47, gave his wife for the 20th anniversary, according to TMZ. Handbags, including Hermes Birkin and Chanel, were also stolen.

Umansky posted a series of nine photos of his family — including Richards, 48, and their four daughters, Farrah, 29, Alexia, 21, Sophia, 17, and Portia, 9 — and captioned the snaps, “2017 Memories #family Nothing replaces Family. They can steal your belongings but they can’t steal your memories or your love.”

😽😽😽all that matters 😍

A post shared by Sophia Kylie Umansky 💛 (@sophiakylieee) on

Sophia also posted a photo on Instagram that showed her and her parents embracing. “All that matters,” she wrote.

TMZ reports that due to a misunderstanding, the house’s high-tech security system was not turned on, enabling the burglars to get in and out of the two-story, seven bedroom, eight-bathroom mansion undetected. They reportedly used a ladder to climb to a second-story balcony and targeted the couple’s master bedroom closets. Surveillance cameras were also turned off due to renovations.

The family’s three dogs, including a large German Shepherd, were also not at the house as they are finishing a five-week obedience course.

Claire’s, the popular cheap accessories company, is pulling items from its stores after several makeup products tested positive for asbestos.

If you got your loved ones any makeup from the retailer for Christmas, you might want to read this.

via NYDN:

The company announced the recall on their site and on Twitter just before Christmas, saying they were pulling the products and launching an investigation.

“As a result of today’s inquiry from WJAR-TV, we have taken the precautionary measure of pulling the items in question from sale, and will be conducting an immediate investigation into the alleged issues. Once we have more information and have the results of the investigation we will take the necessary action. If you have items you wish to return in the interim period we will issue a refund,” the company wrote in its recall notice.

The recall began after a Rhode Island mom found asbestos meant for her 6-year-old daughter in a Claire’s makeup kit.

Kristi Warner bought the makeup set at Providence Place Mall and was suspicious about its ingredients, so she sent it off to a lab. The lawyer, who works for Deaton Law Firm, an asbestos litigation firm, was disappointed to learn her suspicions were correct: the makeup contained tremolite asbestos, a cancer-causing toxin.

“In the work that we do, we’ve come across contaminated cosmetics, but you just assume that a children’s product would be safe,” said Warner to WJAR in Rhode Island.

After purchasing 17 more Claire’s products, Warner and her boss John Deaton found asbestos in every single sample tested.

The nine products that made up the 17 samples — which the company has recalled and removed from shelves — include: Ultimate Mega Make Up Set, Metallic Hot Pink Glitter 48 piece Makeup Set, Bedazzled Rainbow Heart Make Up Set and the Pink Glitter Cellphone Makeup Compact.

Claire’s is issuing full refunds on the products in the case. Claire’s recall hotline, 800-804-7194, is open from 8 A.M. to 11 P.M.

Chrissy Teigen, John Legend Finally Arrive in Tokyo After Flight Drama

The Legends have landed! Chrissy Teigen took to Twitter to tell fans that she and husband John Legend have finally arrived in Tokyo after their “flight to nowhere.”

“We are HERE!” the 32-year-old pregnant model tweeted on Wednesday, December 27.

As previously reported, Teigen and Legend boarded a flight on Tuesday, December 26, and expected to land in Tokyo, but instead, eight hours later, they ended up back at Los Angeles International Airport after the crew believed an unauthorized passenger was on board. The couple, who are parents to 1-year-old daughter Luna, boarded another flight to Tokyo on Wednesday.

“We uhhhhh went ahead and cancelled our connecting flight to nagoya and 3 hour car ride for…obvious reasons…but are happy to stay here in Tokyo!” Teigen added in another tweet. “We feel like young lovers again. Been a while since the ramen adventures of 2012!”

The Cravings author hilariously live-tweeted the flight and the hours she spent at LAX waiting to take off for a second time.

“Lmao after all this I will have spent 8 hours on a flight to nowhere,” Teigen wrote on Tuesday. “Like we were all just havin a great time up here flyin in the sky watching gran torino time to go home now.”

“I don’t know why I’m not more upset about this. The pleasure I get out of the story is worth more to me than a direct flight to Tokyo,” she added.

After passengers were questioned by the police, Teigen wrote she was “moved to a room with Bravo” in the airport.

“I have been moved to a room with Bravo,” she captioned picture of a TV playing The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. “Clearly the authorities are trying to keep me quiet so I don’t BLOW THE LID OFF THIS ‘SITCH.’”

All Nippon Airways apologized to passengers in a statement on Wednesday via Twitter: “We apologize to all of our passengers on Flight 175; we failed to deliver the customer service we strive for. Thank you all for your comments and allowing us to connect, learn and serve you better. We welcome ongoing feedback to understand how we can work to make this right.”

Teigen was less than impressed with the apology and responded to the airline’s tweet.

“Honestly everyone on the ground and in the air were very kind and apologetic,” Teigen wrote on Wednesday. “But I just need to know why we couldn’t have flown to tokyo and settled this one person’s mistake (who was going to tokyo all along) there, in tokyo. 230 people on this flight.”

American Airlines Apologizes After Accusing Pro-Basketball Players of Theft

(DALLAS) — American Airlines has apologized to two black professional basketball players who were kicked off a plane in Dallas after a flight attendant accused them of stealing blankets.

Airline spokesman Joshua Freed said Tuesday that Memphis Hustle guard Marquis Teague and forward Trahson Burrell boarded the flight bound for Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Sunday at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

The flight was operated by Envoy Air.

Two first-class passengers gave the players their blankets as they headed to their seats in coach. But a black flight attendant accused them of theft and forced them off the plane.

Freed says an airline manager apologized to the players and that they later flew first class to Sioux Falls.

Chief executive Doug Parker told employees last month that American Airlines will implement implicit-bias training.

Florida Man Arrested After Allegedly Leading Cops to Wife’s Dead Body on Day Before Christmas

A Florida man is being held on a second-degree murder charge after police say he allegedly led them to his wife’s dead body on the day before Christmas, PEOPLE confirms.

According to a news release from police in Titusville, Florida, Timothy Allen Upthegrove was already a person of interest in the disappearance of his wife, Lori Lynn Upthegrove, when he allegedly gave police information that directed them to her body early on Sunday.

Police believe Timothy, 53, killed Lori on Dec. 18 when the couple got into an argument at their home in Titusville. Then, according to allegations in the news release, “the victim’s body was placed into the back of her vehicle by her husband and driven to a wooded area.”

Police did not disclose a cause of death. A spokesperson from the Titusville Police Department tells PEOPLE that the case is still under investigation and that more details will be released at a later date.

Lori, 51, was reported missing on Tuesday by a family member.

“Based on evidence found both in the home and in her vehicle, detectives believed Lori had been the victim of a violent crime,” police said in the release. Timothy was arrested Tuesday on charges of obstructing justice after he allegedly made false statements to police.

In a statement to the Orlando Sentinel, Timothy’s father, Ed Upthegrove, offered his condolences to Lori’s relatives and said that his family is working with law enforcement.

“Our hearts and prayers go out to Lori’s family and friends during this difficult time,” Ed told the newspaper. “We’re cooperating with investigators as they continue to gather evidence in this case.”

PEOPLE confirms that Timothy is being held in the Brevard County Jail without bail. He has not yet entered a plea, and court records do not indicate if he has retained an attorney who could comment on his behalf.

Luann de Lesseps Apologizes, Blames Divorce After Arrest for Battery, Intoxication

Luann de Lesseps released a statement apologizing after her arrest in Palm Beach, Florida, for battery, intoxication and resisting arrest on Sunday, December 24. The reality star blamed her failed seven-month-long marriage for her apparent meltdown.

“I want to offer my sincere apologies to anyone I might have offended with my behavior,” the Real Housewives of New York City star, 52, said in a statement to Us Weekly. “This was my first time in Palm Beach since my wedding and being there brought up long-buried emotions. I am committed to a transformative and hopeful 2018.”

As previously reported, the former countess was taken into custody in the early hours of Sunday morning, after allegedly kicking a police officer.

Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office

The Palm Beach Post reports that the reality TV star allegedly told people, “I’m going to kill you all,” before her arrest.

She was released without bond after appearing before a judge who told her not to incriminate herself by saying anything when he suggested that she might have a drinking problem.

De Lesseps was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, disorderly intoxication, resisting arrest with violence and crimes against a person — four of the five charges are felonies. She is due back in court on January 25.

The charges come almost a year after she married Tom D’Agostino Jr. in Palm Beach on New Year’s Eve. They announced their divorce in July amid rumors of D’Agostino’s infidelity and reports that the couple had a physical confrontation at a NYC restaurant. De Lesseps had previously forgiven D’Agostino prior to their wedding after he was spotted kissing another woman.

Halle Berry Promotes Major After His Singing Bought Her To Tears

Halle Berry was moved to tears recently while being serenaded by singer ‘MAJOR.‘.

TheJasmineBrand reports that she attended a gathering and became emotional when he sang his popular ballad, “Why I Love You.”

See her caption below and footage of the special moment via the clip below.

Instagram Photo

Earlier this month, Berry made headlines after it was reported she had split with music producer boyfriend Alex Da Kid.

A source reveals Halle was the one to initiate the split after she “really put things into perspective” and decided their relationship was “not for her.”

Berry and Alex dated for about five months, but “Ever since splitting with her ex Olivier, she has been more cautious about who she chooses to bring around the children, and bring into her life,” a source shared with E! News, adding, “Alex needed to go.”

Since they called it quits, Alex, whose real name is Alexander Grant, has been spotted out with a mystery brunette — with many reports claiming she’s his rebound babe.

A source who spotted Alex on the outing said: “they weren’t holding hands but it looked like they were there together as a couple.” The eyewitness added, “He pointed her to his car when they left and they stood really close to each other.”

Berry’s romance with the 35-year-old London-born music producer was her first serious relationship since her divorce from actor Olivier Martinez, with whom she shares custody of four-year-old son Mateo, a year ago.

Halle “is much happier now,” claims the source. Berry recently took to Instagram Stories to share a photo of a black rope shaped like a heart along with the words “Done with love” written across the snap.

Nelly’s Rape Accuser Files Sexual Assault Lawsuit After Testimony Refusal

New Kids On The Block Perform At The Tacoma Dome

Nelly’s rape accuser, who refused to testify in the criminal case against him, has now filed a civil lawsuit against the rapper claiming sexual assault and defamation, reports TMZ.

Monique Greene says she was employed as a host at the Seattle club where Nelly performed the night of Oct. 6, 2017. She says after the show she was drinking alcohol and hanging out with Nelly and his entourage, then Nelly invited her to join him at an after party.

According to the docs, Greene rode with Nelly in an SUV to his tour bus parked in a Walmart parking lot. She boarded and walked to the back of the bus, where Nelly’s bedroom was located. Greene says she sat down on the bed and Nelly started masturbating.

According to the suit, Nelly then had sex with Greene against her will, both orally and vaginally. Greene says she tried to dissuade him by saying he needed to wear a condom, but he refused and continued assaulting her. After, Greene says she was screaming she wanted off the bus. She said a member of his entourage pushed her off and Nelly tossed her a $ 100 bill, saying “Bye bye.”

She says Nelly taunted her from the bus as she stood in the parking lot. Greene says she called an Uber, and while waiting she also called 911. Police showed up, interviewed Greene and Nelly and arrested him for 2nd-degree rape. Greene says police took her to a medical center for treatment and to complete a rape kit.

Greene is also suing for defamation, claiming after his arrest Nelly and his team began a smear campaign, saying she was only after “money, fame and notoriety.”

Prosecutors dropped the criminal case against Nelly when Greene refused to testify. In her lawsuit, she says she felt she couldn’t “stand up against a celebrity and that the criminal system would fail her.”

Nelly, according to TMZ, has said he plans to sue Greene to restore his reputation.

Yes Suh Boss Black Reporter Offers Apology After Helping White Co-Worker Slander Diddy

Henry Wofford, a Black sports reporter for Bay Area outlet KRON4, took part in an insensitive roasting of Sean “Diddy” Combs and his aims to own the Carolina Panthers. During the on-air segment with his white co-worker, Wofford went for the low-blow and suggested Diddy was high and drunk which Wofford’s white co-worker and anchor Darya Folsom found a little too hilarious.

“He looked like he just smoked a blunt and drank a 40,” Wofford said after Folsom played a portion of Diddy’s Instagram video although of an image of the mogul in a suit was shown first.

Initially, observers thought that Wofford was a white man making the comments about Diddy. However, the heat became too much on social media especially as Folsom, whose Twitter handle was on display during the segment, began getting flamed and it came out that Wofford was indeed Black.

Wofford penned an apology via the KRON4 website, saying that his comments were meant to be a joke.

“Although it was said in an attempt to be funny, I realize insinuating a person may be drunk or on drugs is nothing to joke about. For that I sincerely apologize to Mr. Combs, his fans and everyone who was offended,” Wofford wrote.

He went on to say that he wasn’t playing up racial stereotypes although it doesn’t make sense how he’s suddenly saying that a Black man is high on 40’s and blunts is meant to be seen any other way but racial.

Twitter users spotted the jig off the top, and we’ve shared some of the commentaries below and on the following pages. Don’t worry, Henry Wofford will be back to tap-dancing with a top hat and hard bottom shoes this morning per usual. And please do not forget that Folsom, in between her laughing fit, asked what Diddy does for a living. Yeah, she’s been catching deserved hell since Monday.

Power Has Been Restored to Atlanta Airport After a Blackout Caused Hundreds of Flight Cancellations

One of the heaviest travel weeks of the year began with the cancellation of hundreds of flights on Sunday at the world’s busiest airport in Atlanta, where a power outage left passengers stranded in darkened terminals or in aircraft idling on tarmacs.

The early afternoon outage paralyzed operations at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport through Sunday evening. Even though power was finally restored at close to midnight Sunday, the incident continued to wreak havoc on holiday travel plans for thousands of people hit by airline cancellations extending into Monday.

Delta

dal

said it was cancelling about 300 flights on Monday, on top of the 900 Sunday cancellations as a result of the Atlanta outage. United Air Lines

ual

also warned on social media that travel on Monday may be affected.

The incident led the Federal Aviation Administration to ground flights bound for Atlanta. American Airlines

aal

and Southwest Airlines

luv

were also among the major carriers that suspended operations at the airport on Sunday. Southwest canceled 70 departures on Sunday.

All passengers had safely disembarked from aircraft by approximately 10 p.m., or nine hours after the outage began, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed said on Twitter

twtr

. On Twitter, some passengers reported sitting on planes for hours.

Reed had told reporters earlier in the evening that the airport was expected to be fully operational again by midnight.

The FAA said air traffic control remained fully staffed, with the airport open and accepting general aviation and cargo operations. It expected commercial traffic to resume on Monday.

The city was providing shelter to stranded passengers at the Georgia International Convention Center. The city said that Chick-fil-A would be providing food for passengers. By late Sunday the city said it had provided 2,000 meals.

“We’re just focusing on the comfort of our passengers,” Reed told a news conference. “We know they have had a very, very long and difficult day.”

For more about holiday air travel problems, watch Fortune’s video:

Georgia Power, the utility that provides electricity to the sprawling airport, said the failure was linked to a fire in an underground facility that damaged substations serving Hartsfield. The blaze damaged access to a backup system, Reed told reporters, adding the cause remained unknown.

Photos and videos posted on social media showed passengers huddled in partial darkness inside crowded terminals.

“Stuck on a plane at Atlanta Airport as the power is out there … bedlam inside and boredom out here!” Jack Harris wrote on Twitter.

For all carriers, nearly 700 flights scheduled to fly out of Hartsfield, or 60 percent, were canceled on Sunday as of 10:30 p.m. EST, while 477 of all scheduled inbound flights were scratched, airline tracking service FlightAware said.

Black Woman-London Breed Becomes Mayor Of San Francisco After Ed Lee Death

Here’s an interesting development that just happened. One that has catapulted a black woman into the mayor’s chair in San Francisco.

Because of the sudden death of Mayor Ed Lee , 65, Tuesday morning from a heart attack, London Breed has become acting mayor. It’s also worth noting that she first black woman to serve in that executive capacity, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

“It is with profound sadness and terrible grief that we confirm that Mayor Edwin M. Lee passed away on Tuesday, December 12 at 1:11 a.m. at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. Family, friends and colleagues were at his side,” a statement from his office said.

Breed is a native San Franciscan who was raised in the projects by her grandmother. As a longtime community leader, she first won election to the city’s Board of Supervisors in 2012. Her colleagues chose her to serve as president of the board in 2015. After winning re-election to the Board in 2016, Breed was unanimously chosen by the other board members to continue serving as president. Breed holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Davis in political science, with a minor in African American studies. And she went on to earn a master’s in public administration from the University of San Francisco. Her political career started with an internship under former Mayor Willie Brown in the Office of Housing and Neighborhood Services. As the board’s president, she oversees a $ 10 billion budget and more than 30,000 employees.

Breed has taken hits for her no-nonsense approach to tackling issues. In fact, an expletive-laden social media post in 2012 got her in hot water. But she’s learned to take a different approach that’s still effective, the Chronicle says. The Board must vote to officially make Breed the temporary mayor.

She’s expected to get their approval. Breed would serve out Lee’s term until the June 2018 election.

Eastenders Christmas spoilers: Max Branning plots to KILL Ian Beale and Phil Mitchell after his revenge plan goes wrong

MAX Branning isn’t done exacting his revenge on the residents of the Walford.

After his dealings with property developer Willmott-Brown are exposed, leading him to fall out with his family, Max decides he has nothing left to lose – so he comes to the conclusion that murder is the only option.

After his daughters disown him, Max decides he has nothing left to lose.
BBC DAN GOLDSMITH

Actor Jake Wood, who plays Max, has revealed the scenes will be particularly highly charged, in part thanks to the return of writer Simon Ashdown.

He told Inside Soap: “The build-up to Christmas is some of the most action-packed stuff I’ve ever seen.

“In terms of what I’ve read, these are maybe the best scripts since the Max and Stacey DVD reveal in 2007.”

Max is left a broken man when his daughters Lauren and Abi tell him they want nothing more to do with him.

Stacey takes pity on Max
BBC

He then identifies Phil Mitchell and Ian Beale as the people who have wronged him the most – and decides they need to be dealt with.

Jake added: “Max’s revenge was supposed to be a joyous moment for him – but he’s been cut loose by his co-conspirators, and slipped into a traumatic mental state.

“He has a lot of anger towards people, and doesn’t know how to go about dealing with it.”

Stacey takes pity on Max and invites him to live with her and husband Martin.

Will Max have gone to far by the time Stacey steps in?
BBC

But, at this point, Max has already taken action – and tried to kill Ian.

Jake added: “When Stacey takes Max in, he’s already tried to kill Ian and is on his way to murder Phil!

“I don’t know what the medical definition is, but it feels like he’s having a psychotic episode.”

EastEnders airs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday nights on BBC One.

Cristiano Ronaldo Says He Wants 7 Children After Welcoming No. 4 Last Month

Not a month has passed since the birth of his fourth child and soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo already wants more.

Just weeks before winning the annual Ballon d’Or award on Dec. 7, an accolade given to the best-performing soccer player from around the world, Ronaldo admitted his desire to grow his trophy collection and his family. “I want to have seven children and as many Ballons d’Or,” the Portuguese athlete told French newspaper L’Equipe. And the star athlete is not far off on either goal.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who plays for Real Madrid C.F., has had an extraordinary year on and off the field. On Nov. 12, he welcomed a baby girl named Alana Martina with girlfriend Georgina Rodríguez, and in June, his 5-month-old twins Eva Maria and Mateo arrived via surrogate. With 7-year-old Cristiano Jr. from a former relationship in the mix, he’s got three more little ones to go before he reaches his goal of seven.

An expanding family would be no problem for the couple, who have been open about their strong bond and their love of children. “With Cristiano, I have found love. We complement each other very well,” Rodríguez told Hola! Magazine. “We have a beautiful relationship. When I have him next to me, I have everything,” she told the Spanish-language magazine, adding: “The children are our happiness — we wake up and the first thing we do is hug and kiss them.”

In recent weeks, Ronaldo and Rodríguez have frequently shared love for their tykes on social media. Last month, the new mom posted a sweet photo of herself cradling and gazing at the latest addition to the brood, and Ronaldo has been rocking a fashion campaign for CR7 Denim on Instagram with his eldest son and namesake.

This A-list actor told Jessica Chastain to ‘calm down’ after the Harvey Weinstein allegations

And she was having none of it

Jessica Chastain

The past two months have been consumed by sexual abuse awareness, with the movement started by the brave women who came out with their statements against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.

Harvey Weinstein’s accusers now amount to over 50 women, with alleged victims ranging from Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow to Cara Delevingne and Rose McGowan, with even those who haven’t experienced harassment speaking out to stand with their sisters. Hollywood actress Jessica Chastain has been one of the most vocal actresses in the Harvey Weinstein sexual allegations scandal, but according to the actress it cost her a lot of backlash.

‘I was tweeting a lot of the time and actually got an email from a well-known actor that said, “Calm down,”’ the 40-year-old actress explained during a recent appearance on the Graham Norton Show. ‘I found that heartbreaking and can only think he didn’t understand the movement that was happening.’

‘I’m going to speak my mind about any injustice that I see,’ she explained to The Daily Beast previously. ‘I’m not afraid of anything in terms of that and I think the greatest myth that an industry can create is to make people feel they’re easily replaceable. I’m not going to allow that into my life.’

In terms of the current movement of awareness, she continued: ‘I feel hopeful. I feel happy. I know it’s devastating, it’s terrible, it’s heartbreaking. These stories that are coming out are just so sad. But what makes me hopeful is that people are taking responsibility for their silence, their inaction.’

She continued: ‘In no way should we, as a society, look at the victims and show any sense of blame. But anyone involved in an industry where there is abuse like this, you are part of the problem. And your inaction makes you complicit. So what’s happening now is…I think everyone is starting to look at where they fit in this industry.’

FBI Director Heads To Hill After Trump’s Attacks On Agency

WASHINGTON (AP) — Christopher Wray faces a tough test four months into his leadership of the FBI: He must defend America’s top law enforcement agency against blistering attacks from President Donald Trump without putting his own job at risk.

The competing pressures Wray faces will be on display Thursday when he testifies before the House Judiciary Committee. Democrats may push him to respond forcefully to Trump’s weekend tweets calling the FBI a biased agency whose reputation is “in Tatters — worst in History!” and urging Wray to “clean house.”

Some Republicans will likely echo Trump’s concerns about what they see as political bias in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of possible coordination between Trump’s campaign and Russia during the 2016 presidential election. Like Trump, they have seized on revelations that an FBI agent was removed from Mueller’s team because of anti-Trump text messages.

Wray’s start as FBI head would have been difficult enough, even without the intense scrutiny of the Russia investigation. Since he was sworn-in Aug. 2, the U.S. has had two of the deadliest shootings in its modern history and a terror attack in Manhattan.

Trump’s weekend tweets created a fresh dilemma for Wray. With his bosses, Attorney General Jeff Sessions and his deputy Rod Rosenstein, staying publicly silent, it fell to Wray to defend the agency. But FBI directors traditionally have been low-key and stoic — with Wray’s predecessor, James Comey, a notable exception. And Trump’s firing of Comey while he led the Russia probe shows the risk of antagonizing the president.

Wray’s defense, in an email to FBI employees this week, didn’t directly mention Trump’s comments, leaving some current and former officials wishing he had pushed back more forcefully.

Wray said he was “inspired by example after example of professionalism and dedication to justice demonstrated around the bureau” and urged agents to “keep focused on our critical mission” while constantly under a microscope.

For some agents still reeling from Trump’s firing of the popular Comey, the episode cut to the heart of their deepest concern: whether a Trump-appointed FBI director would be able to stand up to a president who routinely lashes out at law enforcement and has publicly lamented his inability to directly influence the agency’s affairs.

Wray repeatedly promised during his confirmation hearing that he could be independent, but “the jury is still out” on whether he has demonstrated that, said Frank Montoya Jr., a former senior FBI official who keeps in contact with agents still on the job.

“The absence of comment from the top, to us, has been really frustrating,” Montoya said. “On the inside, it’s like, why are we still a punching bag and nobody is counter-punching? A word of comfort or of calm or a sign of leadership would be appreciated at this time.”

Wray has stayed mostly under the radar in his first months on the job and has subtly tried to distance himself from Comey, who was widely criticized for publicly announcing that Hillary Clinton shouldn’t face criminal charges for her use of a private email server.

Wray, for example, said he couldn’t imagine holding a news conference about someone who had not been charged, noting Justice Department policies against doing so.

Those close to Wray, a former high-ranking Justice Department official in the Bush administration, describe him as a steady hand whose low-key demeanor makes him well-suited to lead the FBI during a tumultuous time. He has seemed relaxed but reserved in his few public appearances. His memo Monday to employees ended with his favorite work-ethic maxim: “Keep calm and tackle hard.”

“In a society sometimes fixated to a fault on results, I am somebody who is a big believer in the importance of the integrity of process,” Wray said at the International Association of Chiefs of Police conference in October. “That’s part of how I am hoping to sort of steady the ship. By staying laser-focused on the mission and the work itself, day in and day out, left foot right foot, grinding away. Following the rules. Following the law. Trying to make sure we are doing the right thing, but in the right way.”

Tom O’Connor, president of the FBI Agents Association, said Wray has been supportive of agents’ concerns so far, meeting with the organization shortly after his confirmation.

“He has said that, in the four months since becoming director, he has learned more about, and is even more impressed with, agents’ work ethic and commitment to the bureau’s mission,” said O’Connor, who issued his own impassioned defense of the FBI after Trump’s attacks.

Others defended the agency as well, including Eric Holder, attorney general under President Barack Obama, who urged Justice Department leadership to speak out. Comey himself tweeted, “The FBI is honest. The FBI is strong. And the FBI is, and always will be, independent.”

But a retired FBI official said the bureau’s head needs to keep praise and support quiet and internal.

“If you’ve been there for 20-some years, you might not see attacks this high-profile, but you’re going to see attacks over and over and over on the organization,” said Robert Anderson, a former FBI executive assistant director. “The way to really beat that stuff is to dig in and do what you do best, and the agency is really going to shine.”

Philando Castile’s Girlfriend Derided By Sheriff Deputy After Settlement

WCCO - CBS Minnesota/Twitter

As if the girlfriend of the late Philando Castile hasn’t endured enough adversity at the hands of the justice system, Diamond Reynolds was recently targeted by Sheriff Deputy Sgt. Tom McBroom.

Reynolds recently received an $ 800,000 settlement for the trauma she endured while watching her then-boyfriend being fatally shot by former officer Jeronimo Yanez in July 2016.

Following the payout from Anthony, Minn., the city of Roseville and the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust, Sgt. McBroom attacked a traumatized Reynolds on social media on Tuesday. ‘

“She needs to come off County and State Aid now that she has some cash,” he wrote in a tweet that has since been deleted. “It’ll be gone in 6 months on crack cocaine,”

McBroom’s words wreaked of racism and classicism as Ms. Reynolds has no record of using crack cocaine.

“I’ve seen them come to court. They’ve lost their children, but they come to court dressed to the nines with Michael Kors purses,” McBroom alleged in a statement to City Pages. “To be frank with you, they don’t have a pot to piss in. …I see it time and time again and I just shake my head and say why wasn’t there anyone to help that person?”

Egregious typecasting at its finest.

Say What Now? Convicted Sex Offender Attacked in Court By Another Prisoner After Pleading Guilty to Sexually Assaulting a 4-Year-Old [Video]

A fellow prisoner took punishment into his own hands when he attacked a man in court who had just pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl.

via NYDN:

Christopher Elwell, 29, was in court Thursday on charges that he assaulted the child during a sleepover at a Dover Housing Authority property in June.

After his arrest, Elwell told officers that he was watching porn on his cell phone in a bedroom with the victim and two other children when the 4-year-old said she wanted to imitate what was in the video.

It’s not clear what his relationship is to the children.

Elwell pleaded guilty in court and was sentenced to 7 1/2 to 15 years in prison. According to WMUR, he also pleaded guilty to failing to register as a sex offender for a 2008 incident in which he pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 14-year-old.

As Elwell took a seat in the back of the courtroom after his sentencing, inmate Josiah Davies approached Elwell and started head-butting him.

Video shows guards pulling a shackled Davies off of Elwell.

The Stafford County Attorney’s Office told WMUR that the two prisoners did not know each other, and they believe something about Elwell’s case set Davies off.

Davies, who was arrested for forgery and violation of probation, was in court Thursday for a dispositional hearing. It was pushed back to Dec. 4 after the fight.

He’s currently being held on a $ 100,000 cash bond. Elwell will not be allowed to have unsupervised contact with juveniles after he’s released from prison.

JAY-Z on Saving Marriage with Beyoncé After Infidelity: ‘The Hardest Thing Is Seeing Pain on Someone’s Face That You Caused’

JAY-Z is opening up about how his marriage survived scandal.

In an extensive new interview with T: The New York Times Style Magazine, the famed rapper offered a rare glimpse inside his private world with wife Beyoncé, admitting to past infidelity, revealing his state of mind leading up to the infamous transgression and sharing how the power couple pieced their relationship back together.

“You know, most people walk away, and like divorce rate is like 50 percent or something ’cause most people can’t see themselves. The hardest thing is seeing pain on someone’s face that you caused, and then have to deal with yourself,” he told the outlet. “So, you know, most people don’t want to do that. You don’t want to look inside yourself. And so you walk away.”

JAY-Z never walked away from his own marriage, but it hasn’t always been easy.

RELATED: JAY-Z Confesses His Relationship With Beyoncé Was Not ‘Built on the 100 Percent Truth’

Since 2013, the musician has been dogged by cheating rumors, which were only compounded by the news of his notorious 2014 #elevatorgate squabble with sister-in-law Solange after the Met Gala. Beyoncé more than hinted at marital strife on her 2016 adultery-fueled visual album Lemonade — and JAY-Z finally alluded to being unfaithful on the title track of his latest album, 4:44, released in June.

JAY-Z, 47, told T that therapy helped him look inward.

“I grew so much from the experience,” the rapper (born Shawn Carter) said. “But I think the most important thing I got is that everything is connected. Every emotion is connected and it comes from somewhere. And just being aware of it. Being aware of it in everyday life puts you at such a … you’re at such an advantage.”

The artist — nominated for eight awards at the 2018 Grammys — said he built up walls due to experiences from his childhood.

“You go into survival mode, and when you go into survival mode what happen? You shut down all emotions. So even with women, you gonna shut down emotionally, so you can’t connect ,” he said. “In my case, like it’s, it’s deep. And then all the things happen from there: infidelity …”

JAY-Z acknowledged problems in their relationship informed both Lemonade and 4:44.

“We were using our art almost like a therapy session,” he said of the music, adding that playing the deeply personal tracks for one another was painful — and “very, very uncomfortable.”

While the A-list pair were working on their respective albums — and a joint album they had previously been working on — emotions were running high.

“We were sitting in the eye of that hurricane,” JAY-Z said. “The best place is right in the middle of the pain. And that’s where we were sitting. And it was uncomfortable. And we had a lot of conversations. You know. really proud of the music she made, and she was really proud of the art I released. And, you know, at the end of the day we really have a healthy respect for one another’s craft. I think she’s amazing.”

Today, it seems, JAY-Z and Beyoncé are doing better than ever. Already parents to 5-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, the couple welcomed twins Rumi and Sir in June.

“It is not a secret that Beyoncé and Jay had huge problems a couple of years ago. It was obvious to everyone that spent time with them,” an insider told PEOPLE this summer. “There was always tension in the air, but they both worked very hard to get to the place where they are now … They are very excited about adding babies to the family. Jay was great during Beyoncé’s pregnancy and continues to be great. He loves being a dad and Beyoncé seems very happy.”
