Grace Wardle and Frankie Foster have been axed from ‘Love Island’ – as two new Islanders entered the villa

OHMYGOSSIP — Grace Wardle and Frankie Foster have been axed from ‘Love Island’ – as two new Islanders entered the villa. The 25-year-old hairdresser and the 22-year-old student were dumped from the famous villa during Monday’s (09.07.18) episode of the ITV2 reality show, after they failed to secure the public’s vote for favourite girl and favourite boy currently on the show.

Islanders were sent a text message during the show telling them the public had been voting for their favourites, before revealing the bottom three girls as Megan, Ellie, and Grace, and the boys as Frankie, Charlie, and Josh.

Another text then revealed that Grace and Frankie had received the fewest votes, and would therefore be going home. But despite being prematurely dumped from the show, hairdresser Grace is “feeling positive” about her experience in the villa. When asked in her post-exit interview how she feels following her eviction, she said: “I’m feeling positive. I feel like I’ve had an amazing experience. I was overwhelmed to even make it into the main villa from Casa Amor so I feel privileged that I’ve had the best of both, that I experienced Casa Amor and that I experienced going into the main villa.”

The beauty was “shocked” at the news of the surprise dumping, but admits she wasn’t surprised to find herself in the bottom three. She added: “I think that we were all very shocked when the text came into the villa that there was going to be a dumping. I don’t think it was a shock that myself, Megan and Ellie were announced as being the public’s bottom three girls in the villa. I think people were more shocked that Frankie left and are more upset about that, for Samira’s sake. It is unfortunate that the first guy Samira gelled with in five weeks has gone.”

However, fans won’t have much time to mourn Grace and Frankie’s eviction, as it was also announced during Monday’s show that two new boys are on their way to the villa. Kieran Nicholls, a 26-year-old personal trainer, and Idris Virgo, a 25-year-old boxer, will join the remaining contestants this week, and are set to cause drama as both boys have their eye on Kaz, who is already coupled up with Josh.

Idris said: “I’ve got my eye on Kaz, Georgia and Samira. I know some of the girls are coupled up, like Kaz with Josh, so it would be a challenge with her but I’ll find a way of stealing Kaz because she is my type. I don’t mind stepping on people’s toes.”

Whilst Kieran added: “I’ve got my eye on Kaz in terms of looks and personality. She has her head screwed on and she knows where she wants to be and that’s a trait I look for. Megan is also pretty hot. Maybe she might meet someone like me who will tame her.”

Frankie Bridge’s husband buys good gifts

OHMYGOSSIP — Frankie Bridge thinks her husband is “really good” at buying her Christmas presents.
The 28-year-old singer – who has sons Parker, three, and two-year-old Carter with spouse Wayne Bridge – doesn’t know what she’ll be unwrapping from the sportsman on December 25, but expects its something she’ll love, as he knows her tastes well.
She said: “Wayne’s really good [at buying gifts]. He got me an awful pair of shoes when we first started going out – it took me weeks to tell him I didn’t like them.
“But since then, he’s been so good.”
However, when it comes to doing her own Christmas shopping, Frankie leaves it until the last minute.
Asked if she’s a last-minute shopper, she said: “100 per cent. If I can’t get it on Amazon, I’m lost.”
The former Saturdays singer previously admitted she thinks more about gifts for her sons than what she’d like for herself.
She said: “Now that we have the boys I never really think about what I want as much, it is all about them. Lately we’ve been going more for things like a nice break away together. Makes us sound old – but I just love being away with the three of them.”
And Frankie can’t wait until the festive season really kicks in so all her extended family can “come together for a big feast”.
She added: “We are spending Christmas with all the family. Both mine and Wayne’s come together for a big feast. I love the whole festive season to be as busy as possible with loads of yummy food and lots of Christmas songs! I start playing them as soon as Halloween is over!

ENTERTAINMENT UPDATE:

‘Grace and Frankie’ Highlights More Than Jane Fonda’s Ageless Beauty

Jane Fonda is known for her serious roles and personal activism, and now, at 77, the timeless actress is jumping back into comedy, too. In fact, she’s funnier (and more strikingly beautiful, often outshining stunners like Angelina Jolie) than ever in her buzzed-about new Netflix TV series, “Grace and Frankie.” Co-starring Lily Tomlin, 75, the duo plays two rival wives whose husbands fall in love with each other and leave them, forcing the frenemies to commiserate and navigate their new life as roommates and senior singles.

The series premiered in May to rave reviews and has already been renewed for a second season. In a recent interview, Fonda says she suggests binge-watching the show, as all the episodes premiered at once to a mere total of six and a half hours.

Fonda is so dazzling in the role, as is Tomlin, that I’m grouping them with more of my fabulous leading lady favorites dominating television right now, including Viola Davis, Kerry Washington and Julianna Margulies.

It’s no secret that these strong, seasoned female leads are making major Hollywood waves right now, and “Grace and Frankie” could pave the way for more thoughtful, well-written comedies and dramas for the 50+ set. (I already miss “Hot in Cleveland” and its fearless firehouse Betty White!) After all, there is plenty of relatable material to pick from: late-in-life divorce, an economy that’s too tough for retirement and even gender identity questions now in the news thanks to Caitlyn Jenner.

As if “Grace and Frankie” isn’t bringing to light enough real-life issues in its plot lines, the show’s production made even more headlines regarding another issue: the gender wage gap. It’s been reported that these two sparkling leads are getting paid the same as Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston, who are only supporting cast. Fans are rabidly petitioning online for Netflix to pony up, even as Fonda and Tomlin are claiming their salary joke was taken out of context.

The timing couldn’t be better. Just as we are entering the chaos of the first female running for President, it’s comforting knowing that networks and shows like this keep pushing accomplished older women to the forefront of our culture. Netflix has my vote — and Hillary might, too.
