Tiffany Haddish Gets All Ugly Face Over Tyler Perry During Laugh Factory Routine [Video]

According to Anita Bennett’s UrbanHollywood411, funny woman Tiffany Haddish not only brought the house down Saturday night at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles with laughter, but ended up breaking down in tears herself.

During her set at the famous Sunset Strip comedy club, Haddish joked about being thrifty, taking a sabbatical from sex, receiving a car from Tyler Perry and being gifted the wardrobe from her upcoming film, Night School, with Kevin Hart.

Haddish warned fans they’ll see the outfits over and over, because she believes in recycling.

She also joked about her role in Perry’s upcoming comedy, Nobody’s Fool. She said the director’s rapid-fire production method caught her off guard.

“We shot that whole movie in ten days. I don’t know if it’s gone be any good,” she said to laughter.

“I don’t know if this sh–’s gone be funny. I don’t know what the continuity is gonna look like,” she joked. “I don’t know if in one scene, I’m gonna have three hairdos. I don’t know.”

Then someone in the audience yelled, “Tell us about the car!”

Decoded: How Much Is Tiffany Haddish Worth

Tiffany Haddish is everywhere. Last week she served as the first black female host of the MTV Movie & TV Awards. She’s on newsstands on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter, on TV starring with Tracy Morgan in TBS’s The Last O.G., and this week she’s back in theaters with the release of Uncle Drew.

It’s only been a year since most of us learned who she was through her breakout role in Girls Trip. In that time, her fame has skyrocketed—and along with it, her net worth. It’s a true rags-to-riches story considering the entertainer was homeless for a time, sleeping in her car.

AOL recently broke down her reported $ 2 million net worth with a look at the ways she’s been banking her coin. (Hint: it involves more than getting the most bang for her buck by famously repeating THAT dress.)

She’s starring in everything

AOL rightfully points out that Haddish is keeping both her schedule and her bank account full with numerous roles in upcoming movies. But in addition to being the on-screen talent, Haddish has been making big business moves. She has a deal with Netflix that she said paid enough to “take care of her family” for a bit; MediaTakeOut put the payout at $ 800,000. She’s also got a two-year deal with HBO, and she spent the first four months of the year crisscrossing the U.S. on a 17-city stand-up tour.

She added author to her bio

And along with the new title, came a few more bucks. Haddish’s memoir, The Last Black Unicorn, came out in December 2017 and made it onto the New York Times bestsellers list. Haddish mines much of the pain of her past for the book; she even went on Good Morning America and thanked her childhood bullies for making her rich:

She stays ready, and stays selling

Haddish definitely employs her catchphrase “she ready” when it comes to making money. The endorsement deals Haddish has racked up as a rising star are impressive. She became the new spokeswoman for Groupon in January, which took her into the rare celebrity air of a Super Bowl commercial. And that’s after her provocative commercial for Method last fall. Take a look at all her commercials from the past year:

Lil Rel Howery Calls Tracy Morgan ‘One Hating Ass Dude’ for Shutting Down Questions About Tiffany Haddish [Video]

If you’re interviewing Tracy Morgan, do NOT ask him about his ‘The Last O.G.’ co-star Tiffany Haddish — because he’ll get in his feelings.

In an interview with Vulture from last week, Tracy was asked how it’s been to watch Tiffany’s career trajectory since her starring role in last summer’s Girls Trip.

Tracy replied:

“We’re not gonna go there, because this isn’t Tiffany’s show. This is Tracy Morgan. This is The Last O.G.”

He continued:

“You gotta ask that about Tiffany, ask that about Cedric [the Entertainer], and ask that about craft services.”

Comedian Lil Rel called Tracy out on social media for his comments, calling him “one hating ass dude.”

Tiffany Haddish Wants To Cast Meryl Streep As Her Mother In ‘Girls Trip 2’

Tiffany Haddish has figured out how Meryl Streep could believably play her mother in the sequel to “Girls Trip.” The comic has been vocal about the dream casting ever since she hurdled a velvet rope on the Oscars red carpet just to meet the screen legend.“I told Meryl that I wanted her to play momma one day,” she said during her visit to “Late Night with Seth Meyers” on Monday.

“I want her to be my mother in Girls Trip 2. I think it will be so cool if we find out that (my character) Dina has a white mom!” Haddish said she had to explain how the genetic possibility of the mother-daughter combo to her co-stars Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett-Smith.

“I was like, ‘She could have married my dad, see… Maybe my real momma passed and then she married my dad… but she’s turnt up like Dina, and then you find out why Dina is the way she is – because she gets it from her stepmomma, who happens to be Meryl Streep’,” she said. Tiffany believes Streep would add another Academy Award to her collection if she can convincingly play her hood mama.

“If you see Meryl Streep turnt up like me, you’ll be like, ‘She can do anything…!’ She’ll get an Oscar for that… I need to see her hood side,” Haddish said.

Tiffany Haddish And Tracy Morgan Shine In ‘The Last O.G.’

LOS ANGELES (AP) — TBS’ “The Last O.G.,” starring Tracy Morgan as a man just out of prison and learning his way around a changed world, also holds a lesson in comedy chemistry.

Morgan’s Tray has it with “Girls Trip” star Tiffany Haddish, who plays the ex-flame who built a successful life and marriage instead of waiting out his 15-year sentence for dealing drugs.

There are sparks as well when Tray tries to mentor his cousin, Bobby, played with free-wheeling glee by Allen Maldonado, or trades coarse one-liners with Cedric the Entertainer as Mullins, a halfway house manager.
Morgan, who had a difficult recovery from injuries suffered in a 2014 highway crash, generously shares “The Last O.G.” (as in “original gangsta”) as a showcase for all, not one.

The TBS comedy debuts 10:30 p.m. EDT Tuesday.

“Maybe I’m just a better man now since the accident,” the former “Saturday Night Live” player said during a Television Critics Association Q&A. “I know it ain’t about me. It’s bigger than me. I thank God for that.”

Created by Jordan Peele, the Oscar-winning “Get Out” filmmaker, and John Carcieri (“Eastbound & Down”), “The Last O.G.” gives Morgan room to play the goofy bombast he perfected in “30 Rock” and the yearning of a man desperate for another chance.

(There are expletives, bleeped as expected on basic cable, but also plenty of raunchy references to be heard, especially in the back-and-forth between Tray and Mullins.)

The returning Tray finds his Brooklyn neighborhood is gentrified, his cronies are gone or turned into legit businessmen and his adored Shay (Haddish) is living the affluent dream with nice-guy husband Josh (Ryan Gaul) and teenage twins — which, doing the math, Tray figures were fathered by him.

Tray doesn’t want to claim the title of dad or upend Shay’s family, Morgan said. But he does want to be part of a parental trio and have a role in the lives of Amira (Taylor Mosby) and Shazad (Dante Hoagland).
“I could have come home and been a problem in her (Shay’s) life, but then I had to look at (her husband) and I had to look at my kids,” he said. “And I see they were in good hands. So that’s what we also want to get across in the show, that it’s about the babies.”

And while the cast is predominantly African-American (aside from Shay’s white husband), the show is meant for all, Morgan said.

“This isn’t a black show. This is a show about humanity. This is the show about second chances. This is a show about redemption,” he said. “Who are we to say others don’t matter?”

Tiffany Haddish Shares Dream of Hosting the Oscars One Day (VIDEO)

tiffany haddish

Tiffany Haddish has been killing it since her breakout role in 2017 summer hit, Girls Trip, recently hitting the Academy Awards stage to co-present an award alongside fellow funny lady, Maya Rudolph.

During a recent SXSW panel discussion, Variety reports the stand-up spoke of potentially hosting the industry’s most respected awards show one day, following in the footsteps of Whoopi Goldberg, Chris Rock and more.

“That would be a dream come true. I know my father would be extremely proud if I got to do that,” she said. “As long as I get a paycheck.”

Speaking of a paycheck, the South Central, Los Angeles comic admitted during the same discussion that she thought her recent Oscar appearance would come with compensation.

“In my mind, Maya [Rudolph] and I, we auditioned for the ultimate job because I thought we was getting paid for that presentation,” she said. “And then I found out we didn’t get paid, then I was like, ‘I heard about gift bags.’ And then they were like, ‘We don’t got no gift bags,’ and then I was like, ‘Well, what do I get?’ and they [said], ‘We got a bottle of wine that’s like $ 13.’ So, I had to buy the wine.”

Tiffany Haddish Wants to Know if NeNe Leakes Is ‘Crazy’ For Real, Accuses Her of Being Drunk During Her Comedy Show: ‘I Got Concerned’ [Video]

Tiffany Haddish stopped by Bravo’s ‘Watch What Happens Live’ alongside Cynthia Bailey and had a question about Cynthia’s ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ co-star, NeNe Leakes.

When a caller asked Cynthia how she felt about NeNe’s shade towards her friendship with Kenya, Cynthia laughed it off as no big deal. Tiffany then asked Cynthia if NeNe is ‘crazy for real?’

“Is she crazy for real? You know I did a comedy show with her,” said Tiffany.”That was a mess.”

Andy asked for clarity:

“Did you think she was funny?”

To which Tiffany replied:

“She was funny at first, but then she got drunk. And then it got —  I got concerned.”

Just as she was about to spill the tea, Andy cut to commercial break. We don’t know what show Tiffany was talking about, but the streets think it may have been the show where NeNe made those distasteful rape comments.

Tiffany Haddish Reveals She Wants To Care For Her Mentally Ill Mom, Despite Years Of Abuse

2017 is definitely Tiffany Haddish‘s year.

Not only was she the breakout star in the summer hit Girls Trip, she made history this fall on Saturday Night Live and dropped her first cable stand-up show on Showtime. While she is prepping for a slew of new movies to come out next year, she is also planning to drop her memoir, The Last Black Unicorn.

As to be expected, in her upcoming book, she is keeping it 100.

According to PEOPLE, who received an exclusive first look, it’s pretty clear that the 37-year-old star has come a long way, admitting that she was abused by her mother who was diagnosed with schizophrenia.

“I was told every day I’d never be nothing,” she says. “Now I look in the mirror and say, ‘Tiffany Haddish, I love and approve of you.’ It was all worth it.”

Haddish also writes that the abuse worsened after her mother was involved in a car accident that caused her brain damage.

“After the accident, oh my God, she would say the worst things to me, like ‘You look like your ugly ass daddy, I hate him. I hate you.’”

“She couldn’t get all her words out, so she’d just punch me. Just full on. Because of her I can take a punch like nobody’s business. Teachers would ask, ‘Why’s Tiffany’s lip busted?’ I didn’t say anything. As bad as she was to me, I still couldn’t help but love her.”

Instagram Photo

“My mom is still alive, in a mental institution,” she explains in the book.

However, Haddish is clear: She still loves her mother and wants to take care of her.

“My goal is to get enough money to buy a duplex. I want to put her in one of the units and hire a full-time nurse to take care of her. Then I want to get her whatever medications she needs so she can be my mama again. Honestly, that’s all I really want in life.”

The comedienne also opens up about her abusive ex-husband, who she married and divorced twice.

“The relationship got violent. Once at a comedy festival, Tom Green comes over and he is making me laugh so hard. My ex-husband grabbed me. He was like ‘It’s time to go now.’ I had a knot on the side of my head from where he slammed me into the wall and marks on my throat where he’d dug in his nails. When I got onstage, everyone could tell I had been beaten. All those people wanted to help, but all I could do was push them away, and then go back to the dude that was abusing me. Why? Maybe I didn’t know any other way to be loved.”

This is deep. We can’t wait to get our hands on this book!

The Last Black Unicorn hits bookstores on December 5.

Watch Tiffany Haddish Tell Us How To Stay Healthy This Fall, Like Only She Can

Tiffany Haddish, one of our favorite funny women, is using her talents to encourage people to stay healthy by washing their hands.

Tiffany Haddish Fight Dirty PSA Tiffany Haddish (Photo courtesy of method)

“Although some people say I have a dirty mouth, I actually love the feeling of being clean,” said Haddish in a press release. “It was so much fun partnering with Method on this PSA to make the world a cleaner place, one hand wash at a time.”

The spot, named “Fight Dirty” is part of a campaign for “People Against Dirty,” which was created by eco-friendly cleaning brands method and Ecover.

Haddish, whom many consider the breakout star of this summer’s mega-hit film Girls Trip, was recently named “funniest woman alive” by Her comedy special, Tiffany Haddish: SHE READY! From the Hood to Hollywood, is available now on Showtime. And she’s slated to star next year in The Last O.G. with Tracy Morgan on TBS.

“Who better than Tiffany Haddish to help Method fight dirty? She’s culturally relevant, super funny, and one of the most sought-after comedic talents today,” said Doug Piwinski, chief marketing officer of People Against Dirty, in a press release.

The mission is to highlight the importance of hand washing, especially as we near the height of cold and flu season. According to People Against Dirty:

  • 80% of common infections are spread by hands, according to the CDC.
  • 111 million workdays will be lost, costing nearly $ 7 billion in lost productivity between October and May.
  • 1 in 6 people tested positive for fecal bacteria on their hands or mobile devices during a recent study in London.

That last stat underscores the dangers that can be lurking on unwashed hands, and how easily germs and bacteria can spread from dirty hands to dirty phones. According to the CDC, germs can live on the screens of your mobile devices for up to 24 hours.

“One would think that washing your hands after using the restroom is a no-brainer, but Tiffany has turned this seemingly simple act into something memorable, impactful, and shareable.”
