Christina Aguilera Gets an Assist From Melissa McCarthy on Carpool Karaoke

When Christina Aguilera made her Carpool Karaoke debut, she didn’t come alone. The singer stopped by The Late Late Show on Monday night to sing some of her songs with James Corden.

Aguilera settled into the passenger seat and sang parts of some of her biggest hits like “Dirrty” and “Genie in a Bottle” alongside Corden, who managed to keep hold of the steering wheel while Aguilera showed off her impressive skills. When she got to “Fighter,” Corden couldn’t help but ask for a few tips on how to make his voice sound a little like hers. “That’s an angsty thing, you’ve got to get your fighter on,” she explained. Corden wasn’t sure he would be able to mimic her at his next karaoke party, though, because he sounded “like I’ve got something trapped in my throat.”

When the duo moved on to singing Aguilera’s 2002 single “Dirrty,” Aguilera revealed her secret weapon—Melissa McCarthy. The actress and comedian appeared in the back seat to deliver a fierce take on Redman’s featured rap, which appeared in the original song.

“You two know each other. You’ve known each other a while, yes?” Corden asked the two stars.

“We’ve known each other a while,” McCarthy said, nodding. “We did a picture together — Life of the Party.”

“Which we obviously are,” Aguilera added. No arguments here.

Miley Cyrus Jokes Carpool Karaoke With James Corden ‘Would’ve Been More Fun If We Hotboxed’ the Musical Ride

It’s a party in the carpool lane!

Miley Cyrus joined James Corden on The Late Late Show Tuesday night, filling the passenger seat for another round of Carpool Karaoke.

During the musical ride, the singer, 24, harkens back to her previous musical eras. First, the late-night host, 39, uses Cyrus’s tongue — as made famous during her twerk-tastic Bangerz album cycle — to dampen postage stamps. Then, backed by the comedian, Cyrus shows off her impressive pipes, bopping along to her 2009 classic “Party in the U.S.A.”

In addition, the pair sang Cyrus’ hits such as “We Can’t Stop,” “The Climb,” “Younger Now,” “Wrecking Ball” and “Malibu.”

“This would’ve been more fun if we hotboxed this thing,” the fiancée of Liam Hemsworth joked at the very end of the segment.

This isn’t the first time Cyrus has jumped in the carpool lane. Earlier this year, she and her creative family — dad Billy Ray, mom Tish, sisters Brandi and Noah and brothers Trace and Braison — starred in a Cyrus family Carpool Karaoke special, exclusively available on Apple Music.

Cyrus’ latest TV appearance follows the recent release of her sixth studio album, Younger Now.

The Late Late Show airs nightly at 12:37 a.m. ET/PT.

Troopers Catch Driver Using ‘Most Interesting Man’ Pic In Carpool Lane

Washington State Police have issued what may be the “most interesting traffic citation” ever.

On Monday, a motorcycle trooper near Fife, Washington, pulled over a driver who was attempting to use the carpool lane by sticking a cardboard cutout in the passenger seat.

It wasn’t just any face, it was that of Jonathan Goldsmith, the actor who plays “The Most Interesting Man in the World” in Dos Equis ads, KOMO TV reports.

That’s when things got “interesting,” according to Washington State Patrol spokesman Guy Gill.

“[The driver] couldn’t have used a more recognizable face,” Gill told ABC News. “The trooper and the driver had a good laugh about it but he was cited anyway… Our trooper give him a $ 124 ticket for violating [High Occupancy Vehicle] lane laws.”

The driver, who has not been identified by name, did make a half-hearted attempt to go through with the ruse, telling the officer, “He’s my best friend. He just sits here and doesn’t talk,” Gill told the New York Daily News.

The Washington State Patrol immortalized the incident with this tweet:
