Chris Brown was released from a Parisian jail on Tuesday hours after news reports circulated that a woman accused the R&B star of rape. Now, Brown’s lawyer Raphael Chiche, says the singer is gearing up for a lawsuit to clear his name.

“Chris Brown is free. No lawsuits were filed against him,” a tweet from Chiche read. “He vigorously challenges the charges against him. A complaint for slanderous denunciation will be filed tomorrow with the public prosecutor of Paris.”

He later followed it up with the following tweet: “I’m preparing the complaint #ChrisBrown will file against his accuser.”

The story takes a swift turn after it was initially reported that Brown, and two associates were arrested in connection with aggravated rape and drug charges. The arrest stems from a report a 24-year-old woman filed where she claimed she was sexually violated when she returned to the Mandarin Oriental hotel with Brown and a group of friends after a night of partying in a Parisian club. The assault reportedly took place on the evening of January 15 going into January 16.

French authorities had 48-hours to determine whether they will press charges or release him from jail. Brown and his associates who were detained, could have stayed in jail during the duration of the investigation if authorities felt they were a flight risk. According to a statement Chiche made to outlet Entertainment Tonight, the police investigation is still ongoing.

The charges against Chris Brown have not been dropped and investigations are still going on, but Chris Brown has not been sued by prosecution,” Chiche said.

On Tuesday Brown maintained his innocence by posting a now deleted Instagram message, claiming his innocence.

“I WANNA MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR…… THIS IS FALSE AND A WHOLE LOT OF CAP! NNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEERRRRRR!!!!!! FOR MY DAUGHTER AND MY FAMILY THIS IS SO DISPRESPECTFUL AND IS AGAINST MY CHARACTER AND MORALS!!!!!” Brown wrote.

The case adds to Brown’s long list of legal troubles that he’s sustained over the last 10 years.

Sources: Suspect In Custody In Jazmine Barnes’ Shooting

Sources are saying one suspect is in custody for the killing of 7-year-old Jazmine Barnes. The investigation is currently ongoing with a possible second suspect.

Last Sunday, Barnes was sitting in a vehicle near a Walmart along the East Beltway and Wallisville as she and her mother were going to Joe V’s to get coffee. According to police, someone in a red, four-door pickup truck pulled alongside her family’s vehicle and opened fire.

LaPorsha Washington, Jazmine’s mother, was injured during the attack.

In the wake of the killing, thousands have sent their condolences to the family as celebrities and community activists have offered to assist with the funeral expenses of Barnes. Deandre Hopkins pledged his game check from the Houston Texans’ playoff game to assist and Shaquille O’Neal and another officer have donated a cashier’s check to cover expenses.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s Custody Battle: Everything We Know

The legal war between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie is getting uglier by the day. More than two years after the actress’ September 2016 divorce filing, the estranged couple are still fighting over custody of their six children.

Here is everything we know so far about Brangelina’s ongoing custody battle.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered
The Oscar winners agreed on January 9, 2017, to seal all court documents in their divorce case after the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services cleared Pitt of child abuse accusations relating to an alleged incident with son Maddox aboard a private jet. The pair’s reps said in a statement to Us Weekly, “The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification.”

Living With Mom
After nine months of living in various Malibu rentals, Jolie and her six children — Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne — moved into an 11,000 square-foot mansion in the Los Feliz neighborhood of L.A. in June 2017. Pitt, who was allowed supervised visitation with the kids, told the Associated Press around the same time that he spends his time “keeping the ship afloat” and “figuring out the new configuration of our family.”

Summer Agreement
Pitt and Jolie reached a temporary agreement on June 12, 2018, after the L.A. Superior Court determined that “not having a relationship with their father” would be “harmful” to the children. The court also said at the time that Maddox was essentially free to go with either parent because he was 17. The summer schedule split the kids’ time between London, where their mother was filming Maleficent 2, and their native Los Angeles, where their father was working on Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Jolie’s Child Support Request
The Tomb Raider star filed a two-page brief in L.A. on August 7, 2018, that claimed Pitt “has paid no meaningful child support” since they separated. A source familiar with the situation countered to Us, “Brad has fulfilled all of his commitments under any agreements with Angelina. Hopefully both sides can come together and resolve this, and work it out for the sake of the children.”

Jolie’s Explanation
A spokesperson for Jolie said in a statement to Us on August 7, 2018, that the aim of the actress’ court filing was to “provide closure to the marriage in a way that clears a path toward the next stage of their lives and allows her and Brad to recommit as devoted coparents to their children.”

Pitt Responds
The Fight Club actor filed a response in L.A. on August 8, 2018, in which he called Jolie’s request for more child support “unnecessary” and claimed it “omits material information and is a thinly-veiled effort to manipulate media coverage.” He also alleged that he loaned $ 8 million to Jolie to purchase her current home, in addition to $ 1.3 million for “the benefit of [Jolie] and the minor children.” Furthermore, a source told Us exclusively that Pitt “has contributed financially to the care, welfare and expenses of their children,” adding that Jolie never asked him for child support until her court filing.

Jolie Hits Back
The Girl, Interrupted star’s attorney Samantha Bley DeJean released a statement to Us on August 8, 2018, after Pitt’s response. “Angelina’s filing … was both legally appropriate and factually accurate in all respects. What has been filed by Brad’s side … is a blatant attempt to obfuscate the truth and distract from the fact that he has not fully met his legal obligations to support the children,” DeJean claimed. She said Pitt’s loan for Jolie’s home “is not … child support and to represent it as such is misleading and inaccurate.” She added, “Typically a father of means would pay these expenses voluntarily without the need for a request or court order. We are hopeful that this can be resolved without further delay or posturing.”

Another Agreement
Jolie and Pitt agreed on August 22, 2018, to continue their interim custody schedule “after recommendations from the custody evaluator,” according to a source close to the situation.

Legal Switch
Us confirmed on August 27, 2018, that the Changeling actress parted ways with her divorce attorney, Laura Wasser. “Angelina has decided to change counsel to Samantha Bley DeJean, as Samantha’s expertise is the protection and best interest of children,” Jolie’s spokeswoman told Us. “Angelina appreciates Laura’s cooperation in transitioning the case over the past several weeks.”

Quality Time
A source revealed to Us exclusively in mid-September 2018 that Pitt “has the children every other day” — more specifically, “four hours a day on school days and 12 hours on nonschool days.” A second source added, “[Pitt is] hopeful that at the conclusion, he’ll have joint custody of the children. All Brad wants is to be a present dad and coparent with Angelina.”

Headed to Court
A trial in the By the Sea costars’ custody battle was set for December 4, 2018, according to court documents obtained by Us on November 5. Jolie and Pitt also extended the appointment of Judge John Ouderkirk as a temporary judge through June 30, 2019.

Lisa Marie Presley seeking sole custody

OHMYGOSSIP — Lisa Marie Presley is seeking sole custody of her twin daughters.
The 50-year-old singer – who is the daughter of the late musical icon Elvis Presley and business magnate Priscilla Presley – has been embroiled in a divorce battle with her estranged husband Michael Lockwood since the pair split in 2016, and she’s now filed documents seeking primary physical custody of their 10-year-old children Harper and Finley, The Blast reports.
The twins were previously placed under protective custody by the Department of Child and Family Services as part of a dependency court order but that has now expired.
The former couple – who married in 2006 – have been arguing over money since they split, with Lisa Marie fighting to enforce their post-nuptial agreement, which stated that neither of them has the right to spousal support “at any time, regardless of circumstances”.
Michael had argued he was not aware of what he was signing, never read the document, and never had the terms explained, but his former partner insisted he was “completely aware”, “completely represented by counsel” and “had the full and complete opportunity to negotiate the agreement.”
Her lawyer also claimed Michael had been “feigning amnesia or ignorance” about the agreement.
In February, despite claiming to be $ 16 million in debt, Lisa Marie – who also has children
Riley, 29, and Benjamin, 25, with ex-husband Danny Keough – was ordered to pay Michael $ 100,000 towards his legal fees.
The producer had originally asked for $ 450,000 from his estranged wife, but a judge instead ordered her to hand over $ 100,000, which she must pay within 30 days.
Previously, Lisa alleged in court documents filed as part of her ongoing divorce that she was in $ 16.7 million of debt, which was made up of defaulted payments on the mortgage for her $ 6 million home in the UK, as well as unpaid income tax and almost $ 50,000 in credit card bills.
