Say What Now? KFC Debuts a Gravy-Scented Candle [Video]

We’ve seen our fair share of wacky-smelling candles, but KFC is adding one more to the mix.

The company has announced the limited-release of a gravy-scented candle.

According to a KFC spokesman, the “staggeringly nose stimulating” candle will “fill your home with the incredible aroma of KFC gravy.”

The savory scent was created by a brand-trusted perfumer, This is Local London reported.

“Initially the different ingredients within the gravy were split into their constituent parts and fragrances matched to each. Then the scent was built component by component in the similar ratios as KFC’s iconic gravy,” the perfumer said. “The artisanal approach to creating the candles was crucial to ensure the familiar and evocative aroma of gravy was perfectly captured.”

Sounds tasty.

However, before you start clearing a space on your mantel for the saucy fragrance, the limited-edition item is only available in the U.K. for the first 230 fans who apply to own the (probably) highly-coveted KFC Gravy Candle.

It probably smells better than their food actually tastes.

Naomi Campbell damn near broke the Internet on Thursday when she stepped out for Paris Fashion Week rocking a completely new hairstyle: short, cute curls with caramel-colored highlights… and fans are here for it!

The iconic supermodel is known for her long, sleek, tresses parted down the middle. She shared a few images of her stunning new mane on social media, and reactions from some of her follows ranged from “I am LOVING the new look Queen Naomi” to “Totally in love with this look! Naomi, you’re even prettier if this is possible!”

Naomi was among the many stars who filled the front row Thursday morning in Paris to support Virgil Abloh’s second show for Louis Vuitton Homme, reports aol.com. She sported a muted tailored blazer over a Louis Vuitton pleated dress, the outlet noted.

The award-winning fashionista, whose career has spanned decades, launched a Youtube channel in December that gives fans an inside look into her personal and professional life as a businesswoman, activist and model.

She previously said of her new online series “Being Naomi”:

“I want to show the world who I am and what I stand for. My hope is that when you engage with my channel that you are inspired by what you see, that it pushes you to be the best you can be, to do your part in the world and to pursue your dreams.” She continues, “I am honored to be able to share my life on YouTube and to have the unique opportunity to communicate my story in my own voice.”

LONDON — Frescobol Carioca, the luxury men’s wear resort brand, has appointed Oliver Moores as the new head of ready-to-wear design to expand the brand’s design offering and to oversee its growth strategy.
Moores previously served as the senior men’s wear designer at Neil Barrett and prior to that, trained at Savile Row. Moores’ debut spring 2019 collection is more daring and bold. It marks a definitive shift for the label and the designer’s intentions to transition into a lifestyle brand.

Barack Obama Debuts On Billboard With Remix Of ‘One Last Time’ From ‘Hamilton’

Former President Barack Obama has debuted on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart at number 22 with his gospel-inspired remix of a song by Lin-Manuel Miranda that originally appeared in the hit Broadway musical “Hamilton.”

Obama’s “One Last Time (44 Remix)” dropped before Christmas as part of Miranda’s “Hamildrops” remixes and features cast member Christopher Jackson and gospel singer BeBe Winans.

Proceeds from sales of the remixes, which features various celebrities including “Weird Al” Yankovic and Mobb Deep, will reportedly go to charity.

The “One Last Time” entry is called the “44 Remix” and has Obama reading a passage from George Washington’s farewell address.

The track was the final selection of the 2018 “Hamildrop” series in which Miranda, a former substitute teacher, released remixes of tracks from his hit musical every month throughout the year.

As a reported “Hamilton” superfan, it is fitting that Obama would feature on a remix as the cast performed the original song at the White House for a student workshop during his presidency.

Kim Jones Debuts Dior Men’s Spring Collection at Tokyo Pop-Up

BUZZING INTO TOKYO: Roughly 100 customers lined up outside Isetan’s men’s building in Shinjuku on Wednesday morning, waiting for the doors to open so they could get their hands on the spring 2019 men’s capsule collection that Kim Jones designed for Dior. It is the first offering released by the designer since he took over as artistic director.
For the capsule, Jones tapped New York-based artist Brian Donnelly, known professionally as Kaws, to reimagine the brand’s classic bee motif, as well as to create a new Dior logo specially for the collection.
At the pop-up, customers can purchase T-shirts to be customized in front of them with a spray gun that dispenses permanent ink in the chosen design. They are also printed with the date and the number of their purchase.
Exclusive to the Tokyo store are items that feature the Kaws bee in pink rather than yellow, including T-shirts, sweatshirts and small leather goods. Also available are Japanese selvedge denim jeans embroidered with the traditional boro method, and the iconic Dior Saddle bag, which Jones has reinterpreted for men for the first time.
Sunglasses and belts with buckles designed by Matthew Williams of Alyx and jewelry by Yoon Ahn complete the offering.

Mother-Daughter Brand MaisonCléo Debuts Capsule With Opening Ceremony

FAMILY AFFAIR — MaisonCléo, the French ready-to-wear brand born on Instagram, is teaming with Opening Ceremony for a capsule collection.
The brand, founded by Marie Dewet and her mother Nathalie in September 2016, has designed three pieces — a cotton shirt, a silk top and a silk skirt — which will be sold exclusively on the Opening Ceremony web site.
The capsule is limited in numbers: only 40 pieces will be available on the web site, both due to fabric limitation — the brand uses leftover and surplus fabrics from established fashion houses — and to its small team.
Based between Lille and Calais, in the north of France, MaisonCléo is entirely made by Nathalie (also known as “Cléo” to her friends because of the Cleopatra-style eyeliner she used to sport when she was younger) who has been a seamstress for over 30 years.
“A lot of retailers have approached us but the stock they ask for is always too high,” said Dewet. “Opening Ceremony spotted us on Instagram, and we managed to agree on a collection of 40 pieces, which my mother spent two months creating.”

Alexi Lubomirski Studio teamed with ACDC Shanghai to unveil “Selected Portraits by Alexi Lubomirski,” a survey of his celebrity portraiture at MIFA 1862 in Harbour City, Shanghai.
Curated by ACDC’s Daniele Kim, there are shots of Julia Roberts, Natalie Portman, Angelina Jolie and, of course, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, among others. (More recently, Lubomirski photographed Ralph Lauren’s 50th anniversary show in Central Park.)
As for how the lensman would describe the speed of life in the past six months, he said via-email, “Personally it has been a whirlwind of crazy jobs, which included the royal wedding, cover shoots with some incredible celebrities, and the portraits taken at the Ralph Lauren 50th anniversary show, of people such as Oprah, Hillary Clinton, Steven Spielberg, Bruce Springsteen and many others.”
Taking the longer view, he added, “In the industry, the past six to 12 months have seen a lot of reassessment. In the current cultural and political environment, individual creatives, as well as companies and brands, are being asked to clarify
