Amazon Announces Free Shipping for Holidays — No Prime Membership Needed

Amazon is the latest e-commerce retailer to offer free shipping on all pre-holiday purchases, regardless of membership status.

Amazon typically offers free two-day shipping to Prime members, who pay $ 119 for the privilege. Otherwise, shoppers must hit a $ 25 purchase minimum to access free shipping.

“All Amazon customers can enjoy free shipping with no minimum purchase amount on orders that will arrive in time for the Christmas holiday,” the company announced on its website.

It also noted that eligible items typically ship in five to eight days.

The promotion started Nov. 5 and is available “for a limited time.”

Amazon’s offer is likely in response to increasing competition from other retailers that hope to lure customers to their e-commerce options.

Target announced Oct. 23 that it would offer free two-day shipping to all online shoppers without requiring a minimum order size. That promotion began Nov. 1 and will continue through Dec. 22.  Target typically has a $ 35 minimum order requirement to access free shipping.

Meanwhile, Walmart announced the same day that it’s expanding its free two-day shipping option to Marketplace items sold by third parties.

“In the coming months, you will see millions of additional items with the two-day free shipping label,” the company announced. Walmart.com will still require a $ 35 minimum order for free two-day shipping.

Customers in search of the best shipping deal for their online holiday shopping should watch the fine print for deadlines and restrictions that could delay delivery of those gifts.

One Last Free-Shipping Hurrah?

These free shipping offers are enticing for customers, but retailers may not be so generous next holiday season.

The U.S. Postal Service has proposed a 9% to 12% increase for the parcel select shipping service used by Amazon for the last leg of delivery. FedEx also announced that ground and home delivery shipping rates will increase by an average of 4.9%.

These increases don’t go into effect until January 2019. But they surely have major e-commerce players preparing to adjust their shipping strategies or make up for the increase in other ways — potentially by increasing prices.

Here’s all the info you need for how to watch NFL games for free — online or on TV — on Sunday, November 11.

What NFL Games Are on TV Today?

Here is the full NFL game schedule today for Sunday, November 11, including the “Sunday Night Football” game on NBC, Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles.

• New Orleans Saints vs. Cincinnati Bengals, 1 p.m. ET on Fox
• Atlanta Falcons vs. Cleveland Browns, 1 p.m. ET on Fox
• Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears, 1 p.m. ET on Fox
• Arizona Cardinals vs. Kansas City Chiefs, 1 p.m. ET on CBS
• New England Patriots vs. Tennessee Titans, 1 p.m. ET on CBS

• Seattle Seahawks vs. Los Angeles Rams, 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS
• Miami Dolphins vs. Green Bay Packers, 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS
• Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles, 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC

If you have cable or another pay TV service, it probably includes local broadcasts of major networks like CBS, Fox, and NBC. All you need to do to watch today’s NFL games for free is find your local station — and hope that the game you want to see is on. The networks always show the local team’s games, as well as one or more games that they believe will interest the local sports fans.

Mind you, you don’t need cable to watch the NFL games today being broadcast on TV. If you don’t have cable and want to watch the NFL, the smartest move is to buy a digital antenna. You can get a decent one for about $ 25, and once it’s connected to a TV in most of the country it will provide free unlimited hi-def broadcasts of your local over-the-air networks, including CBS, Fox, NBC, ABC, and PBS.

How to Live Stream NFL Games Today for Free

TV is not the only way to watch today’s NFL games. There are several ways to watch NFL games online, including an option that’s new for the 2018 season allowing fans to live stream games on their phones.

As we have previously reported:

If you are content to live stream games on your phone, you can use the Yahoo Sports app or NFL App. Each app offers live streams for the NFL games broadcast on TV in your area, as well as nationally televised primetime games, including “Monday Night Football” on ESPN, “Thursday Night Football” on Fox or the NFL Network, and NBC’s “Sunday Night Football.”

Unfortunately, these apps only allow live streaming on phones. You cannot use one of the apps for watching the NFL live online with a larger screen, such as a laptop, tablet, or connected TV.

How to Watch NFL Games Online for Free on Any Screen

No one wants to sit back on their couch and watch an NFL game … on a phone. But if you don’t have cable or a digital antenna, or want to watch NFL games today online for whatever reason, you may want to try out a streaming TV service such as Fubo TV, Hulu Live, DirecTV Now, PlayStation Vue, or YouTube TV.

Streaming TV packages are like cable, in that they let subscribers watch dozens of pay channels, and in most of the country subscribers also get local stations of broadcast channels, including CBS, Fox, and NBC. The monthly price for these streaming TV services starts at about $ 40, and they all come with free trials that last about a week for new subscribers.

So, if you want to watch the NFL online today on any screen you want, you could sign up for a free trial and catch some games on a tablet, laptop, or connected TV. Afterwards, you’d still have nearly a full week to try out the service further. If you wind up not wanting to become a paying subscriber, you must cancel before the free-trial period is over.

How to Watch Every NFL Game Today

In most cases, fans are limited by being able to watch only the NFL games broadcast today by their local CBS and Fox stations (as well as nationally broadcast “Sunday Night Football”). So-called “out-of-market” games are available only if you have a subscription to a special package such as DirecTV’s NFL Sunday Ticket. This service lets you watch NFL games being played all over the country, and prices start at $ 300 for the 2018 NFL season.

NFL Sunday Ticket is not the only package that will allow you to watch out-of-market NFL games. Another — cheaper — option is NFL Game Pass. It costs $ 99.99 for the 2018 NFL season, and new subscribers get a seven-day free trial.

NFL Game Pass does not allow you to watch games live. Instead, with an NFL Game Pass subscription, you can watch (or stream) out-of-market NFL games after they are over. Once the game is over, it becomes available for NFL Game Pass subscribers, and while it may be a bummer to watch after everyone else knows how the game ended, the service does give fans the option to watch condensed, commercial-free versions of games. It’s a huge time saver.

How to Watch the Titans vs. Cowboys ‘Monday Night Football’ Game Online for Free Tonight

The Tennessee Titans and Dallas Cowboys play in the “Monday Night Football” game on November 5, with a kickoff scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET.

Who is the favorite to win in tonight’s Titans vs. Cowboys game? Both teams are currently 3-4, and the outcome of tonight’s matchup will give the winner a .500 record and increase their chances of making the playoffs, while the loser will stand at a sad 3-5. The Titans vs. Cowboys betting odds indicate that the Cowboys — playing at home at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, where they are undefeated thus far in the 2018 NFL season — are 6-point favorites to win.

All “Monday Night Football” games are broadcast on ESPN. It’s a pay channel, of course, included with most satellite and cable TV packages. If you have cable or another pay TV package, all you have to do to watch the Titans vs. Cowboys game is find ESPN.

If you don’t have cable, you can still watch “Monday Night Football” for free — online or on TV — and we’ve laid out the options below.

How to Live Stream the Titans vs. Cowboys for Free

If you are content to watch “Monday Night Football” on the screen on your phone, that’s simple enough to accomplish. Just download the newest version of the Yahoo Sports app or the NFL app and you’ll be able to live stream many NFL games for free this season. Specifically, fans can use the apps to live stream all of the Sunday NFL games broadcast locally on CBS and Fox where they live, plus the nationally televised matchups on NBC’s “Sunday Night Football,” ESPN’s “Monday Night Football,” and Fox’s “Thursday Night Football.

If you don’t have cable and still want to watch the Titans vs. Cowboys tonight for free, these apps provide the easiest way to tune in outside of heading over to your neighbor’s house or a local bar to catch the game. The one hiccup is that the apps only provide live streams to phones — and cannot be used for watching online on a tablet, laptop, or connected TV.

How to Watch “Monday Night Football” for Free Online

If you want to live stream the Cowboys vs. Titans game for free on a screen that’s larger than your smartphone, consider registering for a free trial of a streaming TV service that includes ESPN in its bundle of channels.

Hulu Live, DirecTV Now, Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, and YouTube TV all include ESPN with their basic packages, and they all offer new subscribers free trials that last about a week. So, if you just wanted to live stream “Monday Night Football” tonight without paying for cable, you could register as a new subscriber and check out one of these services.

Basic streaming packages start at $ 25 to $ 45 per month, after the free trial period is over. If you don’t want to become a paying subscriber, be sure to remember to cancel before the free trial ends.

Which streaming TV service is best for cord-cutters? And which streaming TV service is best for NFL fans, and sports fans in general? Each service has a different roster of channels, so the answer depends on what you like to watch in your household. Fubo TV is a streaming TV service that’s marketed most heavily to sports fans, but it does not include ESPN in packages — so you can’t use it for live streaming “Monday Night Football.”

Our advice is to check out what channels and perks are included with each service, and then look closely at the price points. As mentioned, each service comes with a free trial, so you could certainly try out more than one and see which option works best for you and your budget.

Identity Theft Concerns? Freeze Your Credit for Free, Now

A law that went into effect Sept. 21 allows you to freeze your credit with all three credit bureaus: TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax.

Why You May Want to Freeze Your Credit

According to the Federal Trade Commission, a credit freeze, also called a ‘security freeze,’ “lets you restrict access to your credit report, which in turn makes it more difficult for identity thieves to open new accounts in your name.”

Freezing credit is not something new, however many states allowed the credit bureaus to charge to do so, according to BizJournal.

Congress made credit freezing ubiquitously free after a hack compromised an estimated 143 million people’s personal information on Equifax’s servers in 2017. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) pushed for the Freedom from Equifax Exploitation (FREE) Act.

FAQs about Credit Freeze

From the Federal Trade Commission’s Consumer Information web page:

Does a credit freeze affect your credit score?

A credit freeze has no negative effect on your credit score. It also does not prevent you from getting your free annual credit report. Nor does a freeze prevent you from “opening a new account, applying for a job, renting an apartment, or buying insurance.” However, you do have to lift the freeze before embarking on anything that requires a credit check (more on that later).

What is the difference between a credit freeze and a fraud alert?

A credit freeze prevents a crook from opening up an account using your credit or from identity theft. A fraud alert will not prevent identity theft but will alert you when there is suspicion of something shady going on.

Is credit freezing a 100% guarantee that your data and credit won’t be compromised?

No. According to a post on Experian’s blog, “In the event your credit card number falls into a fraudster’s hands after a data breach, know that a credit freeze won’t help.”

How to Freeze Your Credit

You can freeze your credit online or by calling each individual credit bureau. You will need your Social Security number, name, address, and date of birth. Additionally, each bureau will ask you to verify your identity by answering a series of questions: checking off previous addresses; past loans or leases you may have taken out, etc.

Here are the websites and phone number for each bureau:

Equifax

Equifax.com/personal/credit-report-services

800-685-1111

Experian

Experian.com/help

888-EXPERIAN (888-397-3742)

TransUnion

TransUnion.com/credit-help

888-909-8872

Lifting a Freeze

After you’ve placed a freeze, each bureau will provide you with a PIN (Personal Identification Number). You must keep this PIN in a safe place because you will need it whenever you want to lift the freeze.

Also, there have been reports that since the law was passed, the credit bureau’s websites have been inundated with credit freeze requests. There may be some wonkiness with some of the sites (I had trouble placing a freeze on TransUnion’s site this past weekend). If you can’t use the site, call the bureau to place the freeze (and expect long waits to speak to someone, for now).

How to Watch the Week 8 NFL Games Online for Free Today

The NFL game schedule today starts with the Eagles vs. Jaguars, live from London’s Wembley Stadium with a broadcast time of 9:30 a.m. ET.

Some of the other big NFL games today include Broncos vs. Chiefs, Ravens vs. Panthers, Packers vs. Rams, and Saints vs. Vikings, plus Patriots vs. Bills on “Monday Night Football.”

Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch NFL games today for free — online or on TV — during week eight of the 2018 NFL season.

What NFL Games Are on TV Today?

Here is the full NFL game schedule today (Sunday, October 28), including the primetime “Sunday Night Football” Saints-Vikings matchup, and which channels are broadcasting NFL games around the country:

• Philadelphia Eagles vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, 9:30 a.m. ET on NFL Network
• Denver Broncos vs. Kansas City Chiefs, 1 p.m. ET on CBS
• Cleveland Browns vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, 1 p.m. ET on CBS
• Washington Redskins vs. New York Giants, 1 p.m. ET on Fox
• Seattle Seahawks vs. Detroit Lions, 1 p.m. ET on Fox
• Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Cincinnati Bengals, 1 p.m. ET on Fox
• New York Jets vs. Chicago Bears, 1 p.m. ET on CBS
• Baltimore Ravens vs. Carolina Panthers, 1 p.m. ET on CBS
• Indianapolis Colts vs. Oakland Raiders, 4:05 p.m. ET on CBS
• San Francisco 49ers vs. Arizona Cardinals, 4:25 p.m. ET on Fox
• Green Bay Packers vs. Los Angeles Rams, 4:25 p.m. ET on Fox
• New Orleans Saints vs. Minnesota Vikings, 1 p.m. ET on CBS

With the exception of the morning game played in London (Eagles vs. Jaguars), which is being broadcast on the NFL Network, all of the other NFL games today are airing on a major broadcast network: CBS, Fox, or NBC. Bear in mind, however, that your local stations won’t be showing every game; you should be able to watch your region’s local team and a few other premier games.

To watch these NFL games for free today on TV, turn on your local CBS, Fox, or NBC station. If you have a satellite or cable TV package, you probably have these channels — and perhaps you have the pay channel NFL Network too.

If you don’t have cable, you can still watch the NFL games for free that are airing locally on CBS and Fox, plus the “Sunday Night Football” game, which is broadcast nationally on NBC. All you need to do for access to these channels is hook up your TV to a digital antenna. A basic digital TV antenna costs around $ 25, and in most of the country that’s all you need to do to watch over-the-air networks, including Fox, CBS, PBS, NBC, and ABC — totally for free.

How to Live Stream the NFL Games Today for Free

As we have previously reported, there’s a new way to live stream NFL games for free on your phone in the 2018 season:

If you instead want to watch NFL games on a screen that’s larger than your phone, consider signing up for a free trial of a streaming TV service such as Fubo TV, Hulu Live, DirecTV Now, PlayStation Vue, or YouTube TV.

Each of these services allows you to live stream dozens of channels — including local broadcast networks in most of the country — and they all offer free trials lasting about a week for new subscribers. So, if you were hoping to watch the NFL games today online for free, you could register with one of these streaming services and try out their live streaming capabilities on a tablet, connected TV, or any other screen you like.

Packages with these streaming TV services start at $ 40 after the free trial period expires. Take careful note of when the free trial is over, and be sure to cancel if you don’t want to become a paying subscriber. You’ll be charged automatically for the first month’s service if you don’t cancel in time.

How to Watch Every NFL Game Today

All of the strategies listed above for watching NFL games are limited by what’s being broadcast on your local TV stations.

If you want to watch games that aren’t being broadcast locally on CBS or Fox, check out a special NFL subscription package, such as the DirecTV NFL Sunday Ticket. With this package, you’ll be able to watch out-of-market NFL games, but you’ll pay for it: Prices start at about $ 300 for the 2018 season.

The other option to watch out-of-market NFL games is the NFL Game Pass package. It starts at $ 99.99 for the 2018 NFL season, though you can try it out for free during a seven-day trial period.

NFL Game Pass lets subscribers watch (or stream) every NFL game, but there’s a catch: Access to the games is available only after the games are over. In other words, you can’t watch games live. The tradeoff, beyond a price that’s cheaper than some other packages, is that NFL Game Pass allows you to save time and watch condensed, no-commercial versions of each game.

How to Watch the Dolphins vs. Texans ‘Thursday Night Football’ Game Online for Free Tonight

This week’s “Thursday Night Football” NFL game features two teams with identical 4-3 records: Miami Dolphins vs. Houston Texans.

Tonight’s game is being played in Houston at NRG Stadium, and the betting odds say that J.J. Watt and the Texans are 7.5-point favorites to win at home against the Dolphins.

The Dolphins vs. Texans kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET, and fans have multiple options to watch “Thursday Night Football” for free — online, or on TV. Here’s how to catch the game no matter if you’re sitting on your couch in front of a TV or you’re hoping to live stream the Dolphins vs. Texans on your favorite device.

What Channel Is the Dolphins vs. Texans Game on?

Most “Thursday Night Football” games in 2018, including Dolphins vs. Texans tonight, are broadcast on both Fox and the NFL Network.

If you have a basic satellite or cable TV subscription, the package probably includes broadcast networks like Fox and NBC, and perhaps the pay channel NFL Network as well. In that case, all you have to do is find your local Fox station or the NFL Network and tune in.

But even if you don’t have cable, you should still be able to watch “Thursday Night Football” for free. All you need to do is connect your TV to a digital antenna, and it will give you access to free, unlimited viewing of over-the-air networks, including Fox, CBS, PBS, and ABC. A basic digital antenna costs only about $ 25, so it’s a great investment if you don’t have cable (or want to cut the cord but still watch broadcast TV for free).

How to Live Stream the Dolphins vs. Texans Game for Free

There is no shortage of options if you are hoping to watch “Thursday Night Football” online for free. As we’ve previously reported, fans can live stream NFL games — including “Thursday Night Football” — for free on their phones with a mobile app:

After downloading the latest versions of either the Yahoo Sports app or the NFL App, you’ll be able to live stream a host of games on your phone. Specifically, the Yahoo Sports app and NFL App let fans live stream games that are being broadcast locally in their region by networks like CBS and Fox, as well as all nationally broadcast primetime games. That includes “Sunday Night Football” on NBC, “Monday Night Football” on ESPN, and “Thursday Night Football” on the NFL Network and Fox.

The main problem is live streaming “Thursday Night Football” on one of these apps is that you can only watch the game on a phone. The apps do not allow you to live stream NFL games on a larger screen, such as a laptop, tablet, or connected TV.

How to Watch ‘Thursday Night Football’ Online for Free

Amazon Video, available strictly to Amazon Prime subscribers, also has a live stream of tonight’s Dolphins vs. Texans game. Amazon Prime members can simply log in to their account and head to Amazon Prime Video to watch the game online on any device they want.

If you’re not an Amazon Prime member and want to try it out, you could live stream “Thursday Night Football” for free during a 30-day free trial period with Prime for new subscribers. Once the free trial is over, Amazon Prime members generally pay $ 119 per year or $ 12.99 per month for the service, which comes with perks like free two-day shipping on most Amazon purchases and unlimited streaming of certain music and video content.

Finally, you could also live stream the Dolphins vs. Texans game tonight for free by way of a free trial from a streaming TV service that includes Fox in its packages. In many parts of the country, the streaming TV services Fubo TV, Hulu Live, DirecTV Now, PlayStation Vue, and YouTube TV include local broadcasts of channels like Fox, ABC, and PBS in their basic packages, alongside dozens of other channels. And they all offer free trials lasting about a week for new subscribers.

So, you could register and watch “Thursday Night Football” online for free tonight while testing out one of these services. Basic packages for these streaming services cost $ 40 to $ 45 per month, after the free trial period is over.

If you don’t want to become a paying subscriber for whatever reason, remember to cancel before the trial period ends.

How to Watch Tonight’s ‘Monday Night Football’ Giants vs. Falcons Game Online for Free

Tonight’s “Monday Night Football” game is the New York Giants vs. Atlanta Falcons. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET, and the NFL game is being broadcast on ESPN, although football fans have other options to view the match-up.

The Giants have one of the NFL’s most exciting players in rookie running back Saquon Barkley, but overall the team has struggled under head coach Pat Shurmur and veteran quarterback Eli Manning. The Giants are 1-5 so far in the 2018 NFL season, and are considered underdogs while on the road during “Monday Night Football.” The Giants vs. Falcons betting odds say that the 2-3 Falcons are 5.5-point favorites to win.

ESPN is a pay channel, of course, but NFL fans can watch the Giants vs. Falcons game tonight for free even if they don’t have cable. Here are the ways to watch “Monday Night Football” for free — online or on TV.

How to Live Stream the Giants vs. Falcons Game for Free

The arrival of the 2018 football season brought good news: a new option making it easy — and free — for fans to live stream NFL games on their phones.

Download the newest version of the Yahoo Sports app or the NFL app and you can live stream all of the Sunday NFL games being broadcast in your region on CBS, Fox, and NBC (including “Sunday Night Football”), as well as ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” and Fox and the NFL Network’s “Thursday Night Football.”

These apps are free to download, and it’s also free to live stream the games. The only catch is that the streams are solely available online on phones. You cannot use the apps to live stream games on a larger screen, such as a tablet, laptop, or connected TV.

How to Watch “Monday Night Football” for Free Online

If you don’t have ESPN and were hoping to watch “Monday Night Football” for free on a larger screen, consider signing up for a free trial of a streaming TV service that includes ESPN in its bundle of channels.

Streaming TV packages which feature ESPN start at $ 25 to $ 45 per month, depending on the service and the channels included. But each package comes with free trial periods for new subscribers that last about a week. New subscribers could register today and watch the ESPN broadcast of Giants vs. Falcons on “Monday Night Football” for free, and still have a few days afterwards to continue to test out the service.

Just remember to cancel before the trial period ends if you do not want to become a paying subscriber.

As for which streaming TV service is best, that’s a personal decision based mostly on your budget and the kind of channels your household watches most. The streaming TV services Hulu Live, DirecTV Now, Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, and YouTube TV all include ESPN with their basic packages, alongside dozens of other channels.

• Los Angeles Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers, 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS
• Cincinnati Bengals vs. Kansas City Chiefs, 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC

As you can see, all of the Sunday NFL games are broadcast on major networks. Everyone can watch the “Sunday Night Football” Bengals vs. Chiefs game, which is being broadcast nationally on NBC. Which NFL games are being shown on your local CBS or Fox station on Sunday afternoon depends on where you live.

To watch today’s NFL games for free, simply tune in to your local CBS, Fox, or NBC station. You probably have these channels included in your package if you subscribe to a satellite or cable TV service. If you don’t have cable, you can still watch NFL games for free in most of the country with a digital antenna. A basic digital TV antenna costs around $ 25, and provides access to free, unlimited over-the-air networks, including Fox, CBS, PBS, and ABC.

How to Live Stream NFL Games Today for Free

If you want to watch NFL games online rather than on TV, there are plenty of options for the 2018 season.

The other option for watching NFL games online for free — on any screen you want — is to sign up for a free trial of a streaming TV service that includes major networks in packages.

The streaming TV services Fubo TV, Hulu Live, DirecTV Now, PlayStation Vue, and YouTube TV all include local broadcast networks in packages in most of the country. To watch the NFL games today online for free, then, all you need to do is sign up for a free trial with one of these services. They all offer free trials that last about a week to new subscribers, and they all allow streaming on laptops, connected TVs, tablets, or whatever your preferred screen is.

After you watch the NFL games for free online today, you’ll have a few more days to test out the streaming TV service before you’ll be charged the full monthly rate — starting at about $ 40. If you decide you don’t want to become a paying subscriber, be sure to cancel before the free trial period ends.

How to Watch All the NFL Games Today

All of the options above are limited: You can only watch the NFL games being broadcast on your local networks. If you want to watch out-of-market NFL games, you must have access to a special package, such as the DirecTV NFL Sunday Ticket, which lets subscribers watch (or live stream) games that aren’t being broadcast locally, starting at around $ 300 for the 2018 season.

Alternately, if you are patient enough to watch NFL games after they are over, consider the NFL Game Pass package, which starts at $ 99.99 for the 2018 NFL season. This package lets you watch (or stream) any NFL game you want — but the broadcasts are only available after games have ended. While you won’t be able to watch NFL games live with NFL Game Pass, the service can save you time: Subscribers can watch condensed, no-commercial versions of each game.

If you’re unsure if NFL Game Pass is worth the money, new subscribers can test out the service during a free seven-day trial period.

EMPLOYMENT SEARCH UPDATE:

How to Watch the ‘Thursday Night Football’ Broncos vs. Cardinals Game Online for Free Tonight

It’s a Thursday in October, and football fans know that means another “Thursday Night Football” game is on the schedule. Tonight’s NFL game is the Denver Broncos vs. Arizona Cardinals.

“Thursday Night Football” kickoff time is 8:20 p.m. ET, and fans who want to watch the game on TV or live stream the Broncos vs. Cardinals for free have multiple options tonight — including watching online with Amazon Prime.

The game is being played at State Farm Stadium in Phoenix, but the home team Cardinals, who have a lowly 1-5 record this season, are the underdogs. The Broncos vs. Cardinals betting odds indicate that the Broncos, with a record of 2-4, are 2-point favorites to win tonight.

Here are all the ways you can watch the Broncos vs. Cardinals “Thursday Night Football” game for free.

What Channel Is the Broncos vs. Cardinals Game On Tonight?

Tonight’s game, like most “Thursday Night Football” matchups, is being broadcast on both Fox and the NFL Network. The easiest way to watch the Broncos vs. Cardinals game for free is tuning in to your local Fox station.

If you have a basic satellite or cable TV subscription, the package probably includes broadcast networks like Fox and NBC.

If you don’t have cable, you should still be able to watch “Thursday Night Football” for free with a digital antenna. You can buy one for about $ 25, and in most of the country once it’s connected to your TV it will provide free, unlimited viewing of over-the-air networks, including Fox, CBS, PBS, and ABC.

How to Live Stream the Broncos vs. Cardinals for Free

In addition to traditional TV viewing, there are plenty of ways to watch “Thursday Night Football” online for free. As we’ve previously reported, fans can live stream many NFL games — including “Thursday Night Football” — for free on their phones by way of new features on two mobile apps:

After downloading the latest versions of either the Yahoo Sports app or the NFL App, you’ll be able to live stream a host of games on your phone. Specifically, the Yahoo Sports app and NFL App let fans live stream games that are being broadcast locally in their region by networks like CBS and Fox, as well as all nationally broadcast primetime games. That includes “Sunday Night Football” on NBC, “Monday Night Football” on ESPN, and “Thursday Night Football” on the NFL Network and Fox.

Bear in mind, though, that these apps only allow live streaming on phones. They cannot be used to live stream NFL games on a larger screen, like a tablet or connected TV.

How to Watch “Thursday Night Football” Online on Any Screen You Want

Amazon Prime members can live stream the Broncos vs. Cardinals game for free tonight on any screen they want, including a laptop, tablet, or TV.

Heading into the 2018 season, Amazon cut a deal with the NFL giving it the right to stream 11 “Thursday Night Football” games on Amazon Prime. Tonight’s Broncos vs. Cardinals game is one of the matchups you can stream on Amazon Video — assuming you’re a Prime member.

Amazon Prime subscriptions generally cost $ 119 per year or $ 12.99 per month, and there are 30-day free trial periods for new subscribers. In addition to access to Amazon Video content, Prime subscribers get free two-day shipping on most Amazon purchases and unlimited streaming of certain music content.

Yet another way to watch NFL games online, including tonight’s Broncos vs. Cardinals game on “Thursday Night Football,” is via a streaming TV service such as Fubo TV, Hulu Live, DirecTV Now, PlayStation Vue, or YouTube TV.

These live streaming services include dozens of pay channels in their packages, and in most of the country they also come with access to local broadcasts of channels like Fox and CBS. Subscriptions for these services start at roughly $ 40 to $ 45 per month, but you can use them to live stream “Thursday Night Football” for free during a free trial period. They all offer free trials, lasting about a week for new subscribers. Just remember that you must cancel before the trial ends if you don’t want to become a paying subscriber.

How to Watch the NBA Games Today Online for Free

Basketball fans, rejoice: There are NBA games today on TV, at long last.

The start of the 2018-2019 season is finally here, with two nationally televised NBA games today (Tuesday, October 16): Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics, and Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Golden State Warriors.

Here’s all the info you need to watch the NBA games today, and through the early part of the season. And yes, there are strategies you can use to live stream NBA games for free, at least for a brief trial period.

What Channel Are NBA Games On Today?

The NBA game schedule for today calls for the 76ers vs. Celtics broadcast starting at 8 p.m. ET, followed by the Thunder vs. Warriors at 10:30 p.m. ET. Both NBA games are being broadcast on TNT.

TNT is a pay channel, included with most basic satellite and cable TV packages. If you don’t have cable and want to watch the NBA games today online for free, consider signing up for a free trial of a streaming TV service that includes TNT in its packages.

Live streaming TV services work similarly to cable, in that you get a bundle of channels for one monthly price, with the main difference being that streaming customers watch online with any device they like — tablet, laptop, connected TV, and so on. Streaming TV prices are generally lower than cable, and come with fewer fees and more reasonable customer service; for one thing, you can cancel streaming TV online, whereas cable companies generally require you to call (and wait on hold) if you want to cancel.

The streaming TV services FuboTV, Hulu Live, DirecTV Now, Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, and YouTube TV all include TNT in their basic packages. The prices for these services start at $ 25 to $ 45 per month, but new subscribers can watch the NBA games online for free during a free trial period that lasts about a week.

What Is the Best Streaming TV Service to Watch the NBA?

TNT is one of several pay channels televising NBA games this season, and the channels included with streaming TV packages can vary. So figuring out the best streaming TV service for you depends on how much NBA action you hope to watch, which NBA team’s games you absolutely must see, and how much you’re willing to pay.

Here’s a look at the NBA game schedule of nationally televised games today, and throughout week one of the 2018-2019 NBA season. As you can see below, the season’s first three games for the Los Angeles Lakers — who welcomed superstar LeBron James to the team this year — are being televised nationally:

Tuesday, October 16
• Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics, 8 p.m. ET on TNT
• Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Golden State Warriors, 10:30 p.m. ET on TNT

Wednesday, October 17
• New Orleans Pelicans vs. Houston Rockets, 8 p.m. ET on ESPN
• Dallas Mavericks vs. Phoenix Suns, 10:30 p.m. ET on ESPN

Thursday, October 18
• Chicago Bulls vs. Philadelphia 76ers, 8 p.m. ET on TNT
• Los Angeles Lakers vs. Portland Trailblazers, 10:30 p.m. ET on TNT

Friday, October 19
• Boston Celtics vs. Toronto Raptors, 8 p.m. ET on ESPN
• Golden State Warriors vs. Utah Jazz, 10:30 p.m. ET on ESPN

Saturday, October 20
• Toronto Raptors vs. Washington Wizards, 7 p.m. ET on NBA TV
• Houston Rockets vs. Los Angeles Lakers, 10:30 p.m. ET on ESPN

Sunday, October 21
• Houston Rockets vs. Los Angeles Clippers, 9 p.m. ET on NBA TV

Monday, October 22
• Orlando Magic vs. Boston Celtics, 7:30 p.m. ET on NBA TV
• San Antonio Spurs vs. Los Angeles Lakers, 10:30 p.m. ET on NBA TV

In addition to the nationally-broadcast NBA games highlighted above, all other NBA games are broadcast on regional sports networks available in different parts of the country. So if you’re a fan hoping to use a streaming TV service to watch the local NBA team, you must check and see if the package includes the regional sports network with rights to air the games.

For example, Hulu Live packages include NBC Sports Boston for streaming customers in Massachusetts and New England, so they have access to local broadcasts of Boston Celtics games. In Tennessee, Hulu Live customers get the Fox Sports Southeast channel, which broadcasts Memphis Grizzlies games. In the greater New York metropolitan area, Hulu Live packages come with YES, which airs Brooklyn Nets games.

These are just a few examples. Before subscribing to any live streaming TV service, check what channels are included and whether or not you’ll be able to watch your favorite NBA team’s games.

As for what national channels televising NBA games are included with basic live streaming TV packages, here’s the rundown:

DirecTV Now:

ESPN, NBA TV, TNT

FuboTV:

NBA TV, TNT

Hulu Live:

ESPN, TNT

Sling TV:

ESPN, TNT

PlayStation Vue:

ESPN, TNT (and NBA TV with $ 5 per month upgraded package)

YouTube TV:

ESPN, NBA TV, TNT

How to Watch Even More NBA Games

You should be able to watch tons of NBA games with a basic streaming or cable TV package. But these services won’t let you watch every NBA game.

If you want to watch NBA games that aren’t televised nationally or on your regional sports network, check out NBA League Pass. A variety of options are available, ranging from the NBA League Pass Premium (showing all teams, commercial-free, from $ 39.99 per month) to a single NBA game ($ 6.99). You can live stream out-of-market NBA games for free with NBA League Pass during a seven-day free trial of FuboTV.

How to Watch Tonight’s ‘Monday Night Football’ 49ers vs. Packers Game Online for Free

Tonight’s “Monday Night Football” matchup of the San Francisco 49ers vs. Green Bay Packers is being broadcast on ESPN, with a kickoff scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET.

NFL fans can watch “Monday Night Football” even if they don’t have a cable TV package with ESPN. There are a few different strategies to watch tonight’s 49ers vs. Packers game for free — online or on TV. Here’s what you need to know.

How to Live Stream “Monday Night Football” for Free

You’re in luck if you were hoping to be able to live stream NFL games including “Monday Night Football” on your phone.

Download either the Yahoo Sports app or the NFL app, and you’ll be able to live stream many NFL games for free during the 2018 season. Both apps give you free live streams of the Sunday NFL games that are broadcast on Fox and CBS in your area, as well as nationally televised primetime games such as ESPN’s “Monday Night Football,” NBC’s “Sunday Night Football,” and Fox and the NFL Network’s “Thursday Night Football.”

Be warned, though, that the apps only allow free NFL game live streams on your phone. The apps cannot be used for streaming games on a larger screen, such as a tablet, laptop, or connected TV.

How to Watch “Monday Night Football” for Free Online

Streaming a football game on your phone is hardly the optimal viewing experience. If you’d rather watch the Packers vs. 49ers game tonight online for free and don’t have cable, consider signing up for a free trial of a streaming TV service that includes ESPN in packages.

Streaming TV services operate similarly to satellite or cable TV packages in that they bundle a group of pay channels together for subscribers. But streaming TV customers generally pay lower monthly bills compared to cable subscribers. And streaming TV customers can watch online channels on any device they want, including tablets and smart TVs.

The streaming TV services Hulu Live, DirecTV Now, Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, and YouTube TV all offer free trials that last about a week for new subscribers, and they all include ESPN with basic packages. New subscribers can register today and watch the 49ers vs. Packers “Monday Night Football” game online for free tonight — and then still have a few more days to try out the service.

Streaming TV package prices start at $ 25 to $ 45 per month, after the free trial ends. If you don’t want to become a paying subscriber, remember to cancel before the trial period is over. If you miss the deadline, you’ll be charged in full for the first month.

Packers vs. 49ers Betting Odds

As for the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers matchup tonight, the Packers are 9.5-point favorites to win. At 2-2-1, the Packers have not asserted themselves as one of the NFL’s best teams this year. Their two-time NFL MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers has struggled with injuries, and the Packers have looked inconsistent this season, with a shutout 22-0 win over the Buffalo Bills one week and a 23-31 loss to the Detroit Lions the next.

Yet tonight’s “Monday Night Football” game is being played in Green Bay at Lambeau Field, and the Packers are undefeated at home so far in 2018. Factor in also that the 49ers are a lowly 1-4 this year, and they have lost their starting quarterback Jimmy Garappolo to a season-ending knee injury, and it’s easy to see how the Packers are big favorites to pull off the victory tonight.

Kanye West is currently in Uganda and attempting to spread goodwill. The Sunken Place MC gave out free adidas Yeezys to the kids while visiting an orphanage in the city of Masulita in the East African nation.

TMZ reports that Yeezy and Kim Kardashian got permission from Uganda’s Trump supporting President, Yoweri Museveni, to used his helicopter to fly to the charity event for kids. Kim and Ye, rocking day-glo fits, were greeted with cheers, even more so when they presented the free footwear.

Of course, West posted clips of the festivities on Twitter because it didn’t really happen if it isn’t documented on social media. We gotta give him credit for visiting the orphanage, though, respect.

Nevertheless, West has a LONG way to go after that Oval Office debacle, if he even cares.

Keep the Kids Busy for Free at Bass Pro Shops This Halloween Season

I’m not an outdoorsy person, but I’m a fan of Bass Pro Shops for one reason: They know how to do the holidays right with free activities for the kiddos.

My daughter’s first experience trick-or-treating was at Bass Pro Shops in Atlantic City, New Jersey, when she was 2 years old. This year, the outdoor recreation retailer is hosting eight days of free Halloween fun. There will be crafts, games, costume parades, photos with Charlie Brown and the gang and — of course — trick-or-treating.

Events will be held at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s stores, which are owned by the company. About 170 locations in 45 states and Canada will get in on the Halloween spirit with the exception of the retailer’s Islamorada, Florida, location.

The festivities start two weekends before the holiday. On Oct. 20 and 21 from noon to 5 p.m., children can create Frankenstein crafts, pose for photos and play pumpkin toss — a holiday-themed version of bean bag toss — for the chance to win small prizes. The stores will be selling a photo package for $ 5, but you can get one free 4-by-6 photo without buying anything.

From Oct. 26 to 30, the Frankenstein craft will be swapped out for a vampire bat craft. Families can go to Bass Pro Shops on Oct. 26 from 5 to 7 p.m. to make crafts and take photos.

More activities are scheduled the Saturday before Halloween (Oct. 27) with treat-or-treating from 3 to 5 p.m. and a costume parade at 4 p.m. The store’s pint-sized visitors can also make crafts, play pumpkin toss and take photos from noon to 5 p.m. on Oct. 27 and 28.

The action is light the two days leading up to Halloween — Oct. 29 and 30 — with just crafts and photos from 5 to 7 p.m.

The Halloween celebration culminates the evening of Oct. 31 with events from 4 to 8 p.m. Guests can take photos, play pumpkin toss and create crafts — this time a scarecrow — throughout the entire time.

From 5 to 7 p.m., children can decorate a cookie. Trick-or-treating will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. At 6 p.m., kids can walk in a costume parade.

My little one enjoyed her time collecting candy and making crafts at Bass Pro Shops. And I loved that I didn’t have to spend a dime.

Nicole Dow is a senior writer at The Penny Hoarder. She loves free kids’ events and is in favor of trick-or-treating that doesn’t involve going door to door.

Lifting a Freeze

After you’ve placed a freeze, each bureau will provide you with a PIN (Personal Identification Number). You must keep this PIN in a safe place because you will need it whenever you want to lift the freeze.

Also, there have been reports that since the law was passed, the credit bureau’s websites have been inundated with credit freeze requests. There may be some wonkiness with some of the sites (I had trouble placing a freeze on TransUnion’s site this past weekend). If you can’t use the site, call the bureau to place the freeze (and expect long waits to speak to someone, for now).

How to Watch the Brewers vs. Cubs and Rockies vs. Dodgers Tiebreaker Games Online for Free Today

Major League Baseball is making history today with not one but two tiebreaker games scheduled to determine the National League Central and National League West division winners.

Before today, there have been 15 such tiebreaker games — which are played when two teams in the same division end the regular 162-game season with the same record and must face off for a playoff spot. But today marks the first time in MLB history that there will be two tiebreaker games on the same day: Milwaukee Brewers vs. Chicago Cubs, and Colorado Rockies vs. Los Angeles Dodgers.

The tiebreaker games determine which teams will be named division winners and move on to the 2018 National League Division Series, which begins on Thursday. The two losers in today’s tiebreakers will play against each other in a National League Wild Card game on Tuesday, and only the winner of that game gets to play in the 2018 NLDS.

Here is everything you need to know about how to watch the Brewers vs. Cubs and Rockies vs. Dodgers games today.

What Time Does the Brewers vs. Cubs Game Start Today?

The Chicago Cubs host the Milwaukee Brewers today at Wrigley Field to determine the National League Central division winner. The first pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. ET (12:05 p.m. Central Time), and while Jose Quintana will be the starting pitcher for the Cubs, the Brewers hadn’t named a starter as of Monday morning.

The Cubs vs. Brewers game is being broadcast on ESPN. It’s a pay TV channel, of course. If you have ESPN in your cable, satellite, or streaming TV package, simply find the channel and tune in. You can also live stream the Cubs vs. Brewers game today on the WatchESPN app, but doing so requires that you log in with your subscription account info and password.

If you don’t have cable and want to watch the Brewers vs. Cubs game online for free, consider signing up for a free trial of a streaming TV service that includes ESPN. Hulu Live, DirecTV Now, PlayStation Vue, YouTube TV, and Sling TV’s Orange package all include ESPN. All allow streaming on any device you want, with free trials of five to seven days for new subscribers.

Packages from these services start at $ 25 to $ 45 per month. If you’re a new subscriber, you could sign up today and watch the Cubs vs. Brewers game online for free during the free trial period. But if you don’t want to become a paid subscriber, you must remember to cancel the service before the trial period ends or you’ll be charged for the first month in full.

What Times Is the Rockies vs. Dodgers Game Today?

The Colorado Rockies and Los Angeles Dodgers play today to determine the winner of the National League West, with the first pitch scheduled for 4:09 p.m. ET (1:09 p.m. PT).

The Dodgers are hosting today’s game in Los Angeles at Dodger Stadium. The starting pitchers are expected to be German Marquez for the Rockies and Walker Buehler for the Dodgers.

Like the earlier game, today’s National League West tiebreaker game is being broadcast on ESPN. To watch the Rockies vs. Dodgers on TV — or online for free — consider all of the same options listed above for the Brewers-Cubs game.

How to Listen to the Brewers vs. Cubs and Rockies vs. Dodgers Games Today

ESPN Radio is broadcasting both National League tiebreaker games today. Fans can listen to the Brewers-Cubs and Rockies-Dodgers games on their local radio station broadcasting ESPN’s play call, or stream ESPN Radio online.

Anyone can listen to ESPN Radio free of charge. There is no requirement to subscribe to a service or log in with a pay TV account.
