At this time, however, the situation doesn’t look too good for him after he lost his deportation appeal.

Now, one source close to the Giudice family shares with HollywoodLife that ‘Joe Giudice is absolutely heartbroken and devastated that his appeal in his deportation case was denied. However, he plans to keep fighting.’

Real Housewives of New Jersey star and Joe’s wife, Teresa Giudice has made it very clear before that she has no intention to move their four daughters to Italy just to be with him as a family.

She believes it’s best for the girls to continue their lives in the U.S. and Joe agrees.

That being said, he also thinks he doesn’t deserve to be deported.

‘He truly believes he does not deserve to go to Italy. He will stop at nothing until he can be home again with his girls and his family. R. Kelly Accused Having Sex With 13-Yr-Old Girl And Giving Her Herpes

Lord have mercy! Here we go with more bad news about R. Kelly.

Reports coming out of Detroit say authorities there are accusing the singer of having sex with a girl when she 13-year-old. Not only that, but he’s said to have eventually given her herpes.

Detectives in Detroit are looking into the new allegation against the embattled R&B star, who is facing 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse in Chicago, according to CBS 2.

The sex happened in 2001 says the victim, now 30. She went on to explain that Kelly, 52, first had sex at a hotel in Detroit on Dec. 30, 2001, and then at the singer’s recording studio (in Detroit) a few weeks later.

Four years would go by while the woman visited Kelly at his residence in Atlanta, which is where he allegedly passed the sexually transmitted virus on to her.

The as yet unnamed woman is not living in Michigan at this time, but detectives reportedly plan to fly her in for an interview.

“We are eagerly waiting to speak to the alleged victim,” Detroit Police Chief James Craig told the outlet.

Speaking of herpes and R. Kelly, a 21-year-old woman named Faith Rodgers filed a lawsuit against the singer in New York Supreme Court earlier this year, claiming he sexually assaulted her when she was 19 and gave her herpes.

Three of Kelly’s alleged victims in Chicago were under the age of 17 at the time of the alleged abuse.

Enveloped in trouble, Kelly was out on bond on those charges until Wednesday (03-06-19), when he was taken into custody for failing to pay $ 161,000 in child support.

Of course the whole world knows how he forcefully and angrily denied the sex abuse charges in an interview on “CBS This Morning” that aired Wednesday. He has pleaded not guilty.

Dilemma Of Having A R. Kelly-Penned Hit: Sing It Or Sink It?

(AP Photo)

NEW YORK (AP) — For Grammy-nominated singer Joe, singing the hit song R. Kelly wrote and produced for him is out of the question.

“I’ve stopped performing the song,” he said in a statement to The Associated Press, referring to “More & More,” a Top 20 R&B song released in 2003.

“No music or intellectual property is worth being inconsiderate to the feelings or pain of others,” 45-year-old Joe continued.

In the wake of multiple sexual abuse allegations against R. Kelly — which intensified this month with the release of the Lifetime documentary series “Surviving R. Kelly” — some performers are denouncing songs the R&B hitmaker created for them.

Jennifer Hudson on Thursday removed two songs R. Kelly wrote for her from some streaming platforms, including YouTube and Apple Music: the Grammy-nominated “It’s Your World” and “Where You At,” a Top 10 R&B hit.

Lady Gaga apologized for her 2013 duet with R. Kelly, “Do What U Want,” and removed the track from streaming services. Celine Dion followed Gaga’s footsteps, removing her Grammy-nominated duet with the embattled singer, titled “I’m Your Angel,” from streaming platforms.

And B2K, the boy band whose only song to the top the Billboard Hot 100 chart was the R. Kelly-produced “Bump, Bump, Bump,” said after their reunion tour, which kicks off in March, they will no longer perform that song, or the others R. Kelly crafted for them.

“After the tour I am retiring those songs from my set list,” lead singer Omarion tweeted. “I too am raising a future queen.”

R. Kelly, who has denied all allegations of abuse against him, has written and produced his own hits like “I Believe I Can Fly” and “Bump N Grind.” He was once a white-hot hitmaker that most artists clamored to work with. R. Kelly was behind Michael Jackson’s “You Are Not Alone,” which became the first song ever to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 when it did in 1995. He also worked on multiple songs for Whitney Houston’s final album, 2009’s “I Look to You.”

He produced “Age Ain’t Nothing But a Number,” the 1994 debut album for Aaliyah, who was 15 when she married a 27-year-old R. Kelly the same year the album was released. The marriage was later annulled.

Aaliyah’s album included “Back & Forth,” a Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart; other Top 10 hits R. Kelly crafted for others included “Stroke You Up” and “G.H.E.T.T.O.U.T.” for R&B duo Changing Faces; “808” for the girl group Blaque; and Maxwell’s “Fortunate,” the crowd favorite he performed at the last stop of his tour in New York in December.

But will he sing it again?

Several artists, through their representatives, didn’t return multiple email requests from the Associated Press asking if they would continue to perform songs R. Kelly wrote for them, including Maxwell.

R&B singer Syleena Johnson told the AP after looking closely at the lyrics of her debut song, the R. Kelly-penned “I Am Your Woman,” she can no longer perform the track. She said she got goosebumps just thinking about how she sang lyrics like “Now I’ve been dealin’ with you since sweet 16/Woman enough to let you raise me/You used to call me daddy’s ghetto queen” for roughly 20 years.

Toni Braxton is currently on tour but it’s not clear if she’s performing “I Don’t Want To,” a hit song R. Kelly wrote for her multi-platinum sophomore 1996 album, “Secrets.” R. Kelly signed R&B singer Sparkle and produced her 1998 debut album, which included the hit “Be Careful” (Sparkle alleges Kelly sexually abused a young relative). And he even produced a mild hit for Britney Spears, 2004’s “Outrageous.”

R. Kelly also contributed to the careers of veteran acts like the Isley Brothers and Charlie Wilson, helping the seasoned performers find a home on contemporary radio alongside acts half their age (Wilson said last year he would not work with Kelly again).

Gospel singer Marvin Sapp’s “Listen” was written and produced by R. Kelly and peaked at No. 2 on Billboard’s Hot gospel songs chart last year. Though “Listen” was a success, Sapp has become a 11-time Grammy nominee thanks to his No. 1 hits like “Never Would Have Made It,” ”The Best In Me” and “My Testimony” as well as “Praise Him In Advance,” a No. 2 hit.

Sapp said in a statement to The Associated Press he is praying for R. Kelly.

“Based on my biblical studies, I have always been an advocate that the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is bigger than the messenger. This is a guiding principal for me. When I was recording my most recent album, I was presented with the song ‘Listen,’ written and produced by R. Kelly,” he said.

He continued: “It struck me immediately as a song with a powerful message that needed to be heard, and as a song that I needed to record. With the recent airing of the ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ docuseries (which I have not seen), the world is chiming in and taking sides. My sentiment remains the same: I am not called to cast stones or pass judgment on anyone involved. My responsibility, and my heart, is to pray — for everyone involved,” he said.

He took pains to note that “praying for someone does not equal supporting them and it does not equal defending them.”

“My prayer is that R. Kelly and everyone involved are restored and redeemed — body, mind and spirit.”

R&B star Fantasia, whose 2016 song “Sleeping with the One I Love” came from R. Kelly, echoed some of Sapp’s thoughts.

“I am a mom and I’ve had the chance to work with him and you know, I got to see a lot of things. I did. So, the best thing my mother always told me is — you have to pray for people. You have to pray for them and that’s just what I’m doing now,” she said. “I’m praying for him and I hope that some things change because I am a mother and it breaks my heart.”

Vanessa Hudgens explains her soul connection with J-Lo and the importance of having strong women in your life

‘We can be in it to win it but we should be supporting each other’

Second Act
Motion Picture Artwork © 2018 STX FINANCING, LLC. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED

Second Act is hitting cinemas this week, undoubtedly set to become the feel-good film of the season.

The high fashion office wear and career inspiration make this a millennial must-see, but it’s the two strong female leads, coming in the form of Jennifer Lopez and Vanessa Hudgens, that make it a really important watch.

‘I think it’s great for women of all ages,’ Vanessa Hudgens told Marie Claire‘s Jenny Proudfoot. ‘I think that you’ll leave the film feeling inspired to reassess and go after what you really want and know that you aren’t a victim to your life. You are in control of it. And you decide how you live it.’

This is the film’s chief takeaway – a huge dose of career inspiration and an example of why women should support other women.

Jenny Proudfoot sat down with the lovely Vanessa Hudgens to talk all things Second Act, her surreal connection with J-Lo and why we should all surround ourselves with strong women on (and off) screen.

Vanessa Hudgens

What was your first impression when you read the script?

I mean, my biggest thing reading the script at the beginning was, ‘Oh my gosh – Jennifer Lopez is going to crush this role and I want to watch her doing it.’ I grew up with her films. I remember watching The Wedding Planner over and over again and how charming she was and I was just so excited to see what she was going to do with this script because it’s so well-written and supportive of women.

Were you nervous meeting Jennifer Lopez?

I had met her once before in passing, and I was just really excited to have the opportunity to work with her in the room, and once we did our read together we connected in a way that was kind of crazy. Every now and then I feel like you meet people that you feel a soul connection to. It’s kind of weird and unexplainable but it’s a very real thing and you just feel it. That’s what happened with us. I remember calling my boyfriend afterwards and going, ‘Babe – even if I don’t get this part, I am so grateful for the experience that I just had because me and Jennifer connected on such a deep, real level that it just felt magical’. We read the big emotional scene. There were lots of tears between the two of us which I guess is what made it so special. It was emotional for me but it was also emotional for her. And afterwards she apparently said that she wanted me. I mean, only she can vouch for that but I feel like because our connection was so real, it just felt like it was right.

Do you hope this film will push women to boost each other up in business?

Yes. I think that it’s something that is really special and important. I feel that it’s such a sensitive time right now that women are really afraid of stepping on someone else’s toes, and it just goes to show with this – it’s ok as long as there is motive to support each other. We can be in it to win it but we should be supporting each other. I have always surrounded myself with strong women – I 100% think that who you are is a reflection of the people that you surround yourself with. It’s so important to be surrounded by people that challenge you and lift you up and are always there for you. I think it’s so important – that’s why my friendship group is so small!

Second Act film

What’s your top career advice?

I think people should lean into their interests. I feel as though we are at a point where it’s like “Work hard, go after what you want and be focused on that”. While that’s very true, it can give you tunnel vision and you lose sight of what brings you joy. It’s most important to lean into your interests – especially as an artist. I feel that there’s no right or wrong direction. Just follow your bliss and fully lean into it.

What career advice did Jennifer give you on-set?

Jennifer says herself that she loves being a mentor. She has been in this industry for so long and she knows the ropes – she has kind of done it all. So we would talk about trajectory and image and stuff like that. I mean, she was just super open with me and was down to talk about whatever.

What was your favourite scene that you filmed together?

It is really random. There was one scene when we were walking through Central Park together around the big classic Central Park fountain while we were filming in New York. It was a walk and talk scene and at one point it literally felt like someone had turned on a massive fan and put leaves in front of it. There were just leaves blowing all around us. But no, it was just Mother Nature doing her thing. And I remember looking up at Jennifer and looking around at Central Park and all these leaves blowing and it was just one of those real life movie moments, which is so funny because it turned into a real life movie moment.

Did playing VP Zoe inspire a career change of your own?

I’m an actor because I love stepping into other people’s shoes and then I feel that I get to bring a part of that person into my own personal life. And I think that there was something very empowering about playing this character, being the VP of the beauty department and having authority and power in an office space. Granted, that was fun but I would not be down for an office job. I don’t think I would survive. I like pretending, but not in real life.

What was your favourite Second Act look?

Zoe’s wardrobe was really nice. I love the winter layering – like the big winter coats with the thick scarves – I felt like they were such statements and so chic. I do like A/W fashion and I definitely enjoy seasons for short stints of time, but being a native Californian – I just want the sun the whole time. I mean, I’ve literally just been complaining about how I want it to be summer so that I can wear a dress.

What is your pre-audition prep?

I went to an acting class and they said before you do any audition you owe it to yourself to feel your body. By doing that you lie down and breathe, take account where you’re holding tension and pick a colour and put that colour in that place of tension. You breathe into it and therefore walk into the room feeling centred and grounded and completely present, giving yourself the best shot of getting the job.

While Zoe doesn’t have a British accent, how did you nail Lady Margaret’s voice in The Princess Switch?

I had a dialect coach that I worked with religiously. I obviously listened to a couple of the royals but at the end of the day it was all about thinking how I would be as a Duchess and practicing it. I was very self conscious about it and it would get to the point where I would have to do it all the time – in real life as well – so it would start to feel less foreign to me. There would definitely be days where I would go around all day with a British accent to everyone, even my mother.

Second Act comes to UK cinemas on Friday 25 January.

Disrespectful: Photographer Fakes Having Sex Atop Great Pyramid, People Are Outraged [Video]

There’s a photo going around of two people having sex on top of the Great Pyramid.

Despite the act itself being fake, Egyptian authorities are investigating and people all over the world are outraged by the disrespect.

To be clear — they did scale the pyramid, but they say the sex was simulated.

via Complex:

It was taken by Danish photographer Andreas Hvid, who did scale the Great Pyramid of Giza outside of Cairo, Egypt in November with a model. He took a video of their stunt, blurring out the model’s face. The video ends with the anonymous woman taking off her top. Other photos show the two posing as if they were having sex.

The images and video immediately sparked outrage. People pointed out that not only is the stunt immensely disrespectful—it’s illegal. As Newsweek reports, Egypt’s antiquities minister Khaled al-Anani said scaling the pyramids is “strictly forbidden,” and the images from Hvid were a “violation of public morality.”

The footage is still being investigated for its authenticity, but Hvid admitted the photo of him having sex on the pyramid isn’t real. They were, per the Guardian, just posing.

Why someone would illegally scale a 460-foot, 4,500-year-old national treasure to pretend to have sex is the most puzzling part of the whole ordeal, and Hvid provided little insight on that aside from describing the “euphoric” feeling he had on top of the pyramid. “We did not have sex and we never had it,” he said.

In response to the video and photos on both Instagram and Facebook, locals are asking the government to ban tourists, and people from across the globe expressed rage toward Hvid’s stunt.

The Danish photographer told tabloid Ekstrabladet he’d been dreaming of climbing the giant structure “for many years,” but was saddened by the negative reaction. “I’m sad that so many people have become so angry,” he said, cluelessly. “But I have also received a positive response from a lot of Egyptians—something I think is worth remembering.”

So far, Hvid and the model have not face any consequences for the stunt, as authorities continue to investigate.

They deserve to face ALL the consequences.

Michelle Obama got painfully real about women “having it all” during the New York stop of her Becoming book tour

Michelle Obama got painfully real about women “having it all” during the New York stop of her Becoming book tour

Michelle Obama got painfully real about women “having it all” during the New York stop of her <em>Becoming</em> book tour

Michelle Obama is currently touring the U.S. to talk about her new memoir, Becoming. In the book, she writes openly and honestly about everything from her struggles with fertility to attending marriage counseling to how to find a Barack Obama of your own. So it’s no surprise that when I attended the first New York stop of her Becoming book tour, I was completely blown away by her words and stories.

On Saturday, December 1st, our forever First Lady stopped by the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The event was moderated by Elizabeth Alexander, a poet, essayist, playwright, and longtime friend of Obama’s. You may recognize Alexander as the woman who recited the poem “Praise Song for the Day” (which she wrote) at President Obama’s 2009 inauguration.

Throughout the night, Obama also dropped a lot of wisdom about parenting, vulnerability, and the importance of female friendships. She also opened up about the struggles of being a working mom, saying that years ago, there was a time when she was balancing a full-time job as a lawyer with raising her daughters Sasha and Malia. And during that time, her husband was often out of town in Washington, D.C., campaigning, or traveling for work.

In a very candid moment, Obama got super real about how women still can’t “have it all.”

“Marriage still ain’t equal, y’all. It ain’t equal. And I tell women that it’s not equal—that whole ‘so you can have it all’? Nope, not at the same time. That’s a lie. And it’s not always enough to lean in, because that shit doesn’t work all the time. … I’m back. I thought we were at home, y’all. I was gettin’ real comfortable up in here. But I’m back now. But sometimes, that STUFF doesn’t work. So oftentimes, it’s not equal, and you feel a bit resentful about it. And so then it’s time to go to marriage counseling.”

Crown Publishing Group
available at Amazon | $ 19.50

Obama also spoke at length about her parents, Marian and the late Fraser Robinson, and the values they instilled in her at a young age.

“I had a childhood with parents who didn’t have a lot in the way of money, but they had a lot in the way of value and character and love and stability and consistency. And I want parents to understand that I became who I am not because my parents were networked or college educated or had a lot of money or knew a lot of stuff about things that they thought we needed to know. They gave us absolutely what we needed, which was love and trust and the values that they came here with. And THAT’S what kids need. That will get them through.”

In a more serious moment, Obama spoke about the dangers of being a woman in today’s world.

“The world is dangerous, sadly, for women. I want us to just kinda sit with that for a minute, because it’s usually men who make it dangerous for us. And it doesn’t always look like physical abuse. It doesn’t always look the same. It’s those little cuts. Those little negative comments. It’s somebody, when you’re walking down the street and some man looks at you and makes a comment about you, as if you wanted…that’s a cut. That’s a slice into a woman’s self-esteem, when somebody talks down to them. If you talk down to women at all, and a woman is in earshot of what you’re saying, that’s a cut to her. And then the cuts get deeper, because there’s abuse and there’s rape. There’s sexual assault. There’s all this that we’re hearing. The world is unsafe for women, and I want our men to understand that about what role they’re playing to make us feel safe or unsafe. But I grew up in safety and security. I grew up where I trusted men to take care of me. And I think that that gave me a level of strength that carries me through to this day.”

Obama also spoke about attending marriage counseling with her husband.

“What I learned in counseling was that I was responsible for my own happiness. And that was part of my frustration. I expected my husband now to not only just be my partner, but to fill me up in ways that were my responsibility. Counseling helped me to sort of take a step back and look at, ‘How do I take control of my own happiness within our marriage?’ And how to prioritize myself. Because that’s what we do as women. We’re so busy puttin’ everyone else before us. And then we burn out. We’re like, fourth on our list, or fifth on our list.”

Obama thanked her girlfriends for their friendship and reminded women to lean on each other, not turn against each other.

“Sometimes we can’t do this alone, and we shouldn’t have to. I relied on my girlfriends to get me through one of the hardest eight years of my life. … We have to remember to be that for each other. We have to be each other’s light. We cannot get into that catty stuff. We have to find a way to continue to lift other women up in our worlds and in our lives as much as possible, you all. It is the only reason why I’m breathing. I couldn’t have gotten through raising my kids with a husband traveling without my girls.”

Above all else, Obama hoped to inspire everyone to become who they’re meant to be.

She reminded the audience that it’s okay to be open up and be vulnerable.

“My hope is that this book will inspire everyone to tap into their own journeys of becoming and to share those stories with one another.”

Becoming is available wherever books are sold.

(Kenya Moore Instagram)

Kenya Moore and her husband Marc Daly, recently welcomed their baby girl Brooklyn Doris Daly. But bringing her into the world at 47-years-old presented some challenges. On social media, Kenya confirmed the complications she experienced during the birth. Her caption read:

#BrooklynDorisDaly is here!
Thank you @people for sharing our journey

She’s so perfect and strong! Marc was incredible in the deliver room. I lost a lot of blood so I’m very weak but they both were strong for me.

God is so good. We are blessed and doing well.
My heart is so full at the abundance of love for our family! We love you all.

The President Used a Game of Thrones Meme. The Cast Wasn’t Having It

President Donald Trump invoked Game of Thrones on Twitter Friday to promote his Administration’s announcement on reimposing sanctions on Iran.

Appearing to take inspiration from the HBO series’ golden letters, ominous grey sky and signature tagline (“Winter is coming”), Trump took to Twitter to say “Sanctions Are Coming,” referencing an earlier announcement by the Trump Administration that it would reimpose all U.S. sanctions on Iran that had been lifted through the 2015 nuclear deal from when Barack Obama was President.

HBO responded quickly in statement released to Entertainment Weekly, saying, “We were not aware of this messaging and would prefer our trademark not be misappropriated for political purposes.”

Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark on the show, was also quick to comment, tweeting “Not today.” Sophie Turner, who plays Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones, commented with a simple “Ew.”

Creators and several cast members from the show have made their feelings about the President known in the past.

“I think Joffrey is now the king in America,” George R.R. Martin, who created the books on which the show is based, told Entertainment Weekly in 2017. “And he’s grown up just as petulant and irrational as he was when he was 13 in the books.”

Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow, once called the President a “con artist.”

The President’s tweet follows his speech at the United Nations in September, when he called on world leaders to cut purchases of Iran’s oil. Friday’s news also marks the second round of sanctions the U.S. has reimposed since Trump announced in May that the U.S. would withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal, which had been a frequent target of critique from Trump before and during his presidency. The sanctions will affect finance, shipping and energy sectors in Iran, as well as, with limited exceptions, third-party countries that import Iranian oil or do business with Iranian financial institutions.

For Trump’s detractors, the critical reactions were swift.

Former NFL Player Rae Carruth Released From Prison 18-Years After Having His Pregnant Girlfriend Killed [Video]

Former NFL player Rae Carruth has been released from prison after serving 18 years for the slaying of his pregnant girlfriend.

via NYDN:

The former first-round draft pick was released from Sampson Correctional Institution in North Carolina early Monday.

“I’m excited about just being out of here,” he told WSOC by phone a few days before his release. “I’m nervous just about how I’ll be received by the public. I still have to work. I still have to live. I have to exist out there and it just seems like there is so much hate and negativity toward me.”

Carruth had completed his sentence of 18 to 24 years. He did not speak to reporters as he left the prison on a chilly morning.

Now 44, Carruth was found guilty of orchestrating a plot to kill Cherica Adams to avoid paying child support. Adams was shot four times on Nov. 16, 1999 while driving her car in Charlotte, but managed to make a 911 call that pointed the finger at the NFL player.

Adams, eight months pregnant, died less than a month after the shooting. The child she was carrying was delivered, but suffers from permanent brain damage and cerebral palsy.

Carruth has said he wants to have a relationship with son Chancellor, who remains in the custody of his grandmother. Saundra Adams had said she would be there when Carruth got out of prison, but she was not present on Monday.

The former wide receiver was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in 1997. Panthers center Frank Garcia said players were stunned when they heard the news of about his possible involvement in the murder.

“It would be like finding out the guy sitting in the cubicle next to you at work was arrested for murder,” Garcia said. “You just don’t always know people as well as you think you do.”

Some players testified at the trial, and others would spend time in the players’ lounge watching it on Court TV.

“That is one time where you were actually hiding from the cameras,” Garcia said. “You just wanted to stay low and not be involved. All along you’re asking yourself, ‘Did I miss any signs? How is somebody capable of this?’”

Carruth worked as a barber while behind bars, making about $ 1 per hour, according to North Carolina Department of Public Safety spokesman Jerry Higgins. He had signed a $ 3.7 million contract with the Panthers after being drafted.

Kurt Eichenwald: I Was Kicked Out of School for Having Epilepsy

Convulsions dominated my first two years at Swarthmore College. My first neurologist, Dr. Charles Nicholson, instructed me to tell no one about my epilepsy because otherwise I would be subjected to severe discrimination. I hid out in my dorm room, and begged my roommates to keep my secret. My second neurologist almost killed me with toxic levels of medication. Broken bones, burns, nightmares, and hopelessness led me to plan suicide.

Then, in the summer after my sophomore year, I met Dr. Alan Naarden, a top neurologist. His treatment decreased my number of convulsions dramatically. He instructed me to stop hiding and to seek emotional support from a school psychologist.

For the first time, I began walking the campus alone. Over eight weeks, I experienced two convulsions outside; just a month earlier, before my medication change, that number would have been in the dozens. For the first time since my diagnosis, the school was being exposed to my seizures.
