Nipsey Hussle’s tragic death broke hearts across the hip-hop community and beyond. His untimely passing inspired a truce between Los Angeles gangs. He had a grand home going service at the Staples Center where fans packed the venue to pay respects the the late rapper and his family. Whether you are a fan of not, this terrible loss was felt. While many outlets covered his funeral with respect, FOX News laughed and joked while covering Hussle’s farewell.

“Yesterday in  thousands lined the streets to say goodbye to rapper Nipsey Hussle,” FOX News reporter Laura Ingraham said during The Laura Ingraham Show Friday (Apr. 12). “This dear artist recently released a song called FDT ― F Donald Trump.”

“FDT” is actually rapper YG’s  2016 track that features Hussle and after she played a clip of the chorus she then mocked the rapper saying “That’s a very creative refrain, very catchy. “The chorus, it goes on and on. Is that related to the lowest unemployment ever basically for African Americans.”

Ingraham and her guest Raymond Arroyo also made fun of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan for mistakenly calling Hussle Nipsey Russell during his service.

“It’s always a good idea before you give a eulogy to know the name of the deceased,” Arroyo said sarcastically.

As a journalist it is very disrespectful, tactless and insensitive to discuss Hussle’s murder and funeral like it had no meaning or impact. Plus, the comment about the black people having the  lowest unemployment rate ever is false. Our unemployment rates were lowest while Barack Obama was in office.

Take a look at a brief clip of Ingraham below.

Nipsey Hussle’s Killer Fired Off More Shots After Rapper Talked Back

More details are emerging about the death of Nipsey Hussle and Eric Holder, the 29-year-old reportedly responsible for fatally shooting the beloved rap star outside his clothing store in Los Angeles last Sunday afternoon.

According to TMZ, Holder became enraged when Nipsey talked back to him after he fired off two shots that hit the L.A. native.

Via TMZ:

Sources at the scene of Nipsey’s murder tell us … after Eric Holder allegedly shot Nipsey twice and the rapper fell to the ground, Nipsey raised his head and said something to the effect of, “You shot me, you got me, I’m good.”

We’re told Holder — who had already started to walk away — turned around and walked back in Nipsey’s direction when he realized the rapper was still alive. That’s when Holder fired additional shots at Nipsey … those bullets, eyewitnesses believe, that killed him.

The surveillance video shows Nipsey raise his head after the first two shots. Holder approaches him and fires again, back off, then fire again. He then kicks Hussle before running into an alley.

The gunman was arrested two days after the incident and has been charged with 1 count of murder, 2 counts of attempted murder and 1 count of possession of a firearm by a felon. He pleaded not guilty Thursday and his
bond has been set at $ 5 million. Famed attorney Chris Darden is representing him.

According to the LA Times, the woman who drove the getaway car turned herself in to authorities and is said to be cooperating with investigators. At the time of this report, she had not been arrested.

Nipsey’s funeral will take place Thursday (April 11) at the Staples Center.

Holder returns to court May 10. He has been placed in solitary out of fear he’ll be killed by other inmates.

Chris Darden’s Daughter Has Been Harassed Over Her Father Defending Nipsey Hussle’s Alleged Killer

Since it has been announced that Chris Darden is defending Nipsey Hussle’s alleged killer, Eric Holder, his daughter Jenee Harden said she has been getting harassed via social media.

She addressed the hostility coming her way via Instagram and said she found out her father is defending Holder on social media with the rest of the world.

“I was not prepared for this backlash that has triggered bad memories from the O.J Simpson Trial,” she wrote. ” My father is a grown man and has been a defense attorney for some time. I have no say in the cases he takes on.”

Harden went on to say that she understands the outrage and pain surrounding Nipsey Hussle’s murder but it doesn’t justify the “vile comments”  that have been thrown her way.

“Instead of attacking me and others who have nothing to do with this case, channel that energy toward continuing Nipsey’s legacy in strengthening our communities and lifting up each other.”

Holder was charged with one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon and has pleaded not guilty to all charges. Holder is accused of shooting Hussle six times outside of his The Marathon clothing store on March 31st. Holder, 29, was arrested on April 2nd.

Nipsey Hussle’s Funeral Will Be Held At The Staples Center

Due to rapper Nipsey Hussle’s influence on hip-hop, it’s only right that his home going service be magnificent. It has been announced that the L.A rapper’s funeral will be held next week at the Staples Center, TMZ reports.

The venue, which holds 21,000 people, will host Hussle’s funeral on Thursday, April 11th, 2019. LAPD officers will be present to secure the event. In order to attend the funeral, you will have to purchase tickets. This isn’t the first time the Staples Center hosted a funeral for a major celebrity. Michael Jackson’s funeral was also held there back in 2009.

Nipsey Hussle, born Ermias Asghedom, was shot and killed on March 31st in front of his Marathon Clothing store in his hometown. The alleged shooter is Eric Holder, who recently plead not guilty to murder charges. Hussle was only 33-years-old and left behind his two children, his son Kross and his daughter Emani.

His tragic killing sparked a gang truce that led to a peace march through the Crenshaw district in Los Angeles. Gang members from Watts, Compton and Inglewood all came together to discuss ceasing fire and creating more unity to prevent more killings in the South Central L.A community.

Huge Venue Needed For Nipsy Hussle’s Funeral/Memorial Service

Nipsey Hussle‘s family is looking for an appropriate venue to hold funeral/memorial services for the slain rapper. The problem is that Hussle was a very, very popular person in the community and they’ll need a large venue to accommodate everyone.

We’re talking a venue large enough for 15,000 people or so. Fortunately in the Los Angeles area there a several to choose from, including The Forum, Staples Center, the Long Beach Arena, and not to mention USC’s, Long Beach State’s or UCLA’s basketball arenas.

Speaking of Staples, it might be in play (if available) to host the services because for one, it’s the home of the LA Lakers of whom Nipsey was a huge fan and also don’t forget that Michael Jackson’s memorial/funeral was held there in 2009.

Other options would be outside venues such as the Hollywood Bowl or even LA’s 2 professional soccer stadiums.

We would guess the other challenge would be getting one those venues on a date that’s not already committed.

As TMZ notes, “Nipsey was a man of the people, and we’re told his family wants to ensure everyone who wants to will be able to celebrate his life. Nip had an enormous impact on the community and his murder resonated in L.A. and way beyond … with memorials and candlelight vigils popping up across the globe.”

TMZ is also reporting that the family wants his funeral/memorial service to happen within the next two weeks.

As we reported, the beloved rapper/entrepreneur was shot and killed outside his store Sunday afternoon (03-30-19) in the Hyde Park section of L.A.
