Delivering Good Selects Women of Inspiration Honorees

Delivering Good has selected its honorees for the annual Women of Inspiration fundraiser on June 12. The event takes place at the Pierre Hotel in New York.
The luncheon will honor Lece Lohr, president of Justice, a subsidiary of Ascena Retail Group, Inc., and Maria Montano, president and chief executive officer of Gerber Childrenswear.
There will be a special luncheon tribute to the legacy of Edyth Bush of The Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation, which has played a key role at the state and local levels to develop leadership in the nonprofit sector and to address the most pressing community needs. It is a longtime supporter of Delivering Good.
Jennifer Dulski, head of groups and community at Facebook, and the author of “Purposeful: Are You a Manager or a Movement Starter?,” will be the featured speaker.
The luncheon’s host will be Thomas P. Farley, an etiquette expert, speaker and author who is known as Mister Manners and writes the “What Manners Most” newsletter.
Luncheon tickets are $ 375 and tables start at $ 7,500.
Since 1985, the charity has distributed over $ 1.8 billion of donated product through its network of community partners.

Lacoste FW19 Draws Inspiration From the Archives & Tailoring With Dashes of Color

Lacoste by Louise Trotter Fall/Winter 2019 presents a collection that harks back to the French heritage brand’s tennis beginnings, paying homage René Lacoste and sporting culture.

Presenting 64 looks at the Tennis Club de Paris at Paris Fashion Week, the collection included a number of standout looks in the generally muted palettes of tennis white, grey, earthy brown and navy. Some looks were more daring, mixing in yellows, reds, teal, Lacoste Vert 132 green and even a mixed selection of color-blocking, and despite the deviant themes, the collection was cohesive and iconically Lacoste.

Standout looks from the runway include the selection of elevated classic Lacoste polo’s, featuring striped knitted collars, oversized jersey remixes and boxy takes on the staple, as well as the numerous flyaway trench coats with contrast interior lining and the huge V-neck cricket sweaters.

Trotter kept the collection floaty, boxy and minimal, with some looks such from the collection looking towards workwear — seen in the baggy boiler suits and tonal two pieces. Tailoring was also on show, featuring wide-legged suit pants to sleeveless double-breasted blazers as well as typical two-button blazers.

The FW19 collection comprehensively covered all grounds, nodding to streetwear trends with two-toned brushed knitted jumpers and blown-up deconstructed crocodile logos, finished with an all-around sporting heritage look thanks to clean tennis caps and a number of collegiate-inspired vests.

The Lacoste FW19 presentation can be viewed above. Let us know in the comments below whether you think 2019 will be a big year for the Croc.
