These Two Five-Year-Olds Just Schooled Jimmy Kimmel on the Subject of Love

On Wednesday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! the late night host embarked on “a mission to educate” the youth of today on the meaning of a certain four-letter word: love.

To do this, he sat down with kindergartners Dean and Arlene to talk about matters of the heart. Having set the scene with a candlelit table and enough roses to put The Bachelorette to shame, Kimmel and the kids discussed their relationship (they don’t have one) and why kissing on TV is gross (it’s the germs). And when he asked the five-year-olds to define love specifically, Arlene gave him a beautiful response. “It’s putting someone’s needs before yours,” she explained, so poignantly that Kimmel seemed to be rendered speechless. “I thought Oprah was off the air,” he joked. “I don’t know how this is happening.”

While Kimmel seemed oddly intent on making the pair fall in love — at one point he produced a very non-scientific gadget called the “Love Meter” to confirm that love was in the air — he only got so far as to get them to admit that the other is “kind of cute.” The burgeoning relationship is likely to have a short shelf life, though, because Arlene a realist. “I’m never going to marry anybody,” she said. “Because it’s kind of disgusting.”

Jimmy Kimmel Proves Celebs Get Awkward Texts From Their Moms Just Like Everyone

With Mother’s Day right around the corner, Jimmy Kimmel decided to once again offer a twist on his infamous Mean Tweets segments and have celebrities read a selection of heartfelt, head-scratching and downright odd texts sent by their mothers.

“Feather, teamwork when you are cohabbing makes the dream work,” Katy Perry shared from her phone, reading off a mother’s long, non-punctuated text from her mom about how to successfully live with a significant other. (Highlight: “the man is the head but the woman is the neck that turns the head.”)

Kourtney Kardashian confessed that she’d been ignoring a series of texts from her “momager” Kris Jenner, while singer Billie Eilish’s mom told her in no uncertain terms to “go the duck to sleep!!!!!!”

Catastrophe star Rob Delaney showed off his mother’s crude adventures with autocorrect, Pink’s mother outed herself as a “stoner”, and Stranger Things star David Harbour revealed his mom’s desperate desire for freebies: “David love you lots Will you send me anything you can find for free?????? thank you so much–thank you. pens, key chains Are you having fun?? Love you love you. Mom.”

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch star Kiernan Shipka, meanwhile, received an odd text from her mom that just read: “Jared Leto is 47 I’m going vegan”.

And then there’s this from Regina Hall’s mom: “Jt concert tix not going to good job CCD Kjust.can’t tecxstill trying byb love you you”. While the text was incomprehensible, one thing that’s clear is that she loves her daughter — which is the sign of a good mom text, after all.

Gonzaga Does Everything They Can to Convince Jimmy Kimmel of Their Existence

While the Gonzaga Bulldogs may have advanced to the Sweet 16 for the fifth consecutive year this March Madness, they’re still facing a challenge from late night funny man Jimmy Kimmel, who’s not entirely sure that Gonzaga exists.

Last week, Kimmel took to his show to share a theory that Gonzaga doesn’t actually exist, much to the indignation of Gonzaga’s many students and alumni, as well as pretty much all of Spokane, Washington.

Multiple news outlets defended Gonzaga’s existence and Gonzaga’s law school even made a video for Kimmel of an entire classroom of law students, the dean of the law school and Washington State’s attorney general swearing on a Bible that the school, the students and the students’ very real student loans were all real.

Kimmel, however, had his own rejoinder to Gonzaga’s impassioned case, with a visit with a seeming member of the Gonzaga administration: Chancellor Gonzo Aga. As might be expected, this “interview” undermines any claim to Gonzaga’s validity as an actual entity — leaving Kimmel and fans to rely on Gonzaga’s matchup against Florida State this Thursday to determine whether they actually exist.

Jimmy Kimmel didn’t host the Oscars this year, but he did score the first big interview with Lady Gaga after she won for Best Original Song this past Sunday night. And yes, he asked her the one question that everyone wanted him to ask.

“This Sunday night, millions of women around the world became furious with their partners for never looking at them the way Bradley Cooper looked at our first guest during their show-stopping musical performance,” Kimmel said in his introduction.

After she sat down—and placed her Oscar on his desk—Kimmel got down the business.

Jimmy Fallon made Steph Curry drop weird phrases into NBA All-Star interviews

Did Steph Curry’s interviews over the 2019 NBA All-Star weekend seem full of weird turns of phrase to you? It’s all Jimmy Fallon’s fault.

For a segment subbed “Drop It In,” The Tonight Show host had the basketball star slip strange words into his post-game chats, and Curry managed to weave them all in multiple times without breaking a sweat.

The phrases you’re looking for are “Energizer bunny,” “flipping pancakes” and “wham, bam, can of ham,” the latter of which we intend to weave into all conversations from now on. Read more…

Speaking to the Christian Broadcasting Network, Sarah Huckabee Sanders said, “I think God calls all of us to fill different roles at different times, and I think that he wanted Donald Trump to become president, and that’s why he’s there.”

“No, he didn’t,” Kimmel replied, laughing. “Even God was like, ‘What the hell? I can’t take my eyes off you people for a minute!’”

Jimmy Kimmel: Trump Cares More About SNL Than Stopping Terrorists

ABC

President Donald Trump did a lot of tweeting this weekend and Jimmy Kimmel was there to break it all down Monday night.

With Christmas just over a week away, the late-night host predicted that it’s not “going to be a very jolly one for the president of the United States” because “Santa is bringing a stocking full of problems to Donald Trump.”

“It has been a terrible holiday season for him,” Kimmel continued. “He’s facing multiple criminal investigations, he’s losing cabinet members, he lost the House. And on top of everything else, the DNA tests he ordered came back, and Eric and Don Jr…. are his.” Trump is “so frustrated right now,” he added, that “he wants to build that wall just to bang his head against it.”

Jimmy Kimmel: Trump Wants Jared Kushner as Chief of Staff Because He’s ‘Good Enough to Screw’ Ivanka

ABC

Earlier this week, Jimmy Kimmel noted in his monologue that, given John Kelly’s clashes with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, whoever Donald Trump ends up picking to be his next chief of staff will need the approval of his daughter and son-in-law. Now, it seems that Kushner himself might be up for the job.

According to The Huffington Post, Kushner “has been pushing his own candidacy with Trump, citing his work on a criminal justice reform package and a claimed ability to work with Democrats.”

Or as Kimmel put it, “I guess the thinking is, if he’s good enough to screw my daughter, he’s good enough to screw the country,” to groans from his audience. “I really hope he hires Jared and then he fires Jared so we go through the whole thing,” he added.

Jimmy Kimmel Discovers Tuna Is the Latest Thing That Doesn’t Pair Well With Millennials

In the wake of a report that millennials are killing canned tuna, Jimmy Kimmel decided to find out if the generation even knows how to open cans.

Ahead of Monday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the late-night host sent his team out to Hollywood Boulevard to challenge people aged 22 to 37 (if they were all actually millennials, that is) to open a can of tuna fish.

“Sales of canned tuna fish have plummeted. Canned tuna consumption is down more than 40 percent over the past three decades and the tuna companies believe the reason is because millennials don’t want to go to the trouble of opening a can,” Kimmel explained. “I find that reason a little hard to believe so we decided to put the theory to the test. We went out on the street and we asked young people walking by to try to open a can of tuna.”

Unfortunately, it didn’t seem like many of the segment’s participants were up to the task.

Jimmy Kimmel Had Fifth Graders Put On a ‘Trumpsgiving’ Play

On Tuesday night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! the host unveiled a contemporary take on Thanksgiving’s origin story — The First Trumpsgiving.

“Over the last 400 or so years, the story of Thanksgiving hasn’t changed much,” Jimmy Kimmel pointed out on his late night talk show. “We learn it in school and it’s fine, but this year we wanted to spice it up.”

Kimmel invited a group of talented fifth graders to put on a pageant that reveals the updated Thanksgiving story. The children took viewers back in time to the first meeting between the Native Americans and the pilgrims, who arrived in the New World aboard a private yacht naturally named “The Mayflower.”

“We’re gonna put the golf course right here, and the hotel right here,” said a boy dressed like President Trump with a wig and a red tie, proudly declaring that his new plans were “going to be huge!”

When the Native Americans arrived to greet the newcomers, the ersatz Trump shouted, “Oh no, it’s the caravan of immigrants from South America!” The children, decked out in construction-paper costumes, quickly corrected him, explaining, “We’re Native Americans.” That didn’t sit well with the faux Trump, though, who shot back, “Well we’re American Americans and we were here first.”

Then they set out to build a wall out of cornbread, sending their sons to shoot a turkey, but they nabbed an elephant instead. Luckily there was a Thanksgiving miracle to ensure that it really was “the greatest Thanksgiving in the history of Thanksgiving.”

Stealing Candy from a Baby! Jimmy Kimmel Gets Parents to Pull Halloween Candy Prank on Their Kids

Trick-or-treat! These kids didn’t get something good to eat!

For the eighth year in a row, Jimmy Kimmel has convinced parents to trick their children into thinking they ate all of their Halloween candy.

On the Nov. 1 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the 50-year-old television host presented his audience with a compilation of parents filming their kids’ reactions to the hilariously cruel prank which he has dubbed “I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy.”

“Now it’s time to find out just how easy it is to take candy from babies,” Kimmel began.

In the first clip, one small boy grimaces like Marvel’s Hulk after being told his mom and dad ate all of his treats.

The boy later tells his mom “You’re going to get sick.” He then says his parents are going to “poop all over the floor.”

In the next video, one boy is in such disbelief about his parents taking his candy that he repeatedly says “but it was in there,” in reference to his trick-or-treat bucket.

He later became too frustrated to speak and just screamed to the top of his lungs.

One little girl took the mature route and told her mom, “I’m so disappointed at you.”

Next up, was another boy who runs into his kitchen to find all three of his buckets completely empty. When his younger sister comes in and asks ‘What happened?’ he just breaks down in tears.

Some kids even resorted to violence after hearing what their parents had done.

One little boy, who was dressed as a firefighter, began hitting his dad on the forehead after his candy went missing.

A different boy also began hitting his father after being asked if he wanted broccoli instead.

RELATED: Round Two! Jimmy Kimmel Has More Parents Pull Halloween Candy Prank on Their Kids

Interestingly, not every kid was upset. In fact, some didn’t even mind that their parents took their treats.

“I’m not mad at all. I would never be mad at you because you’re my mom,” one little boy said and his mom responded with “You’re too sweet. It’s gross.”

One little girl said, “I forgive you mommy. I love you.”

NBC Accused Of Hypocrisy After Videos Surface Of Jimmy Fallon In ‘Blackface’ And Lester Holt In ‘Whiteface’

On Friday, NBC announced that Megyn Kelly’s morning talk show had been canceled and the move comes — as the New York Times put it — “for wondering aloud on-air why it was inappropriate for white people to dress up (on Halloween) in blackface.”

Kelly was fired from her show following the public uproar over her comments.

As Sandra Rose wrote: “NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt covered the story and discussed Kelly’s blackface comments but he didn’t mention whiteface — and for good reason.”

Here’s how SandraRose breaks it down:

Mediate blog found a photo of Holt dressed up as British chanteuse Susan Boyle, who is Caucasian. Holt, who is mixed race, wears whiteface makeup, a wig and a dress for Halloween.

“Then there is Jimmy Fallon, whose running skits as former Utah Jazz NBA star Karl Malone and comedian Chris Tucker, both of whom are Black, drew big laughs. Fallon, who is white, didn’t just wear blackface makeup, He also spoke “with a defined speech impediment” to suggest that Malone was less than intelligent.”

“Mediate called out NBC for its hypocrisy in firing Kelly for just talking about blackface Halloween costumes — while two of the network’s biggest personalities actually dressed up as someone of a different race.”

Even Hoda Kotb once dressed in Whiteface for Halloween.

Meanwhile, NBC issued a statement saying that in the wake of the cancellation of  “Megyn Kelly Today,” the 9 a.m. hour would be hosted by other “Today” co-anchors.

Kelly’s exit deal is still being negotiated, with reports that she’s asking for $ 50 million of her purported $ 69 million contract.

Jimmy Kimmel Made a Video to Support His Theory About Melania Trump’s Trip

First Lady Melania Trump just completed her first solo excursion in a political capacity, touring Africa for five days and stopping by hospitals and orphanages, hanging out with elephants and visiting famous sites like the Sphinx and the Pyramids on her journey. And while plenty of attention has been paid to both her ongoing promotion of her ‘Be Best’ campaign and her fashion choices for the jaunt, Jimmy Kimmel wants to focus on something different: her facial expressions.

Kimmel drew a sharp contrast between the First Lady’s seemingly joyful spirit while photographed and videoed during her public engagements in Egypt, Ghana, Malawi and Kenya in comparison to clips of her taken while back in the U.S. at the side of her husband President Donald Trump for a spoof.

“This is Melania’s first trip overseas, and she really seemed to enjoy herself,” Kimmel suggested. “It’s not scientific, but draw your own conclusion.” (They added in some ominous Star Wars music for effect to really draw out the stark difference between her U.S. self versus her cheerful African tourist self.)

Now that she is back on U.S. ground.

Here’s Kimmel’s spoof below.
