Is Kanye West A Bot Desperate For Validation?

Recent events regarding Kanye West’s erratic behavior have led me to believe that the man we see in public isn’t the real Kanye but a first generation android. These “first-gen” androids created to replace black celebrities desperate for a seat at the table of whiteness effectively regurgitate inane and rudimentary Fox News rhetoric but are still working out early model kinks. There are ways to tell but two examples of proof with Kanye is the blank, lost look in the eyes—possibly a malfunction or breakdown in programming—and the intense staunch doubling down on flawed and debunked political views he repeats after reading Donald Trump’s occasionally entertaining, but always eye-roll-inducing Twitter feed. The flesh-and-blood Kanye—if he is still with us—is locked away in a dank, cool basement overrun with water bugs the size of fat pecans watching this boring, uninspired version of himself make a mockery of his musical legacy and dismantle his worthy contributions to music and pop culture.

Is Kanye In The Sunken Place?

If Kanye isn’t an android, then it’s safe to say that he has been a victim of a nefarious suburban racial scheme akin to Jordan Peele’s 2017 global hit and Oscar-winning film Get Out. By now we’ve all seen Get Out and if you haven’t then it’s worth a watch. But for those who aren’t in the know, a young black man goes to visit his white girlfriend’s family in an upstate New York town only to stumble upon a diabolical scheme that involved white people literally stealing, wearing, sexualizing, and profiting off of the bodies of black men and women. Are the Kardashian women the Armitages? Is Kim K. the Rose in this story who blithely lures a black man to a room of horrors where he is stripped of his essence and his mind is replaced by a bland white man in 45’s administration? As some of the memes last year implied, is Kanye in the sunken place of his mind?

The Miseducation of Kanye West

Science fiction conspiracy theories aside, Kanye is responsible for his own downfall and enjoys the attention, even if it’s negative. Gone is the Kanye West of 2005, who brazenly interrupted Mike Myers, much to Myers’ chagrin, and shouted without missing a beat: “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.” At the time, it was an apt response to Bush’s sluggish reaction to saving the mostly black and poor white folks of New Orleans post-Hurricane Katrina. Reactions were polarizing but the overall sentiment was that Kanye told no lies, or at least, said what many were thinking. The artist whose first three albums were multiplatinum successes selling nearly 10 million copies between the three of them combined, according to RIAA; who won multiple Grammys for his contributions to the culture; and who famously interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for the 2009 VMAs because he was so butthurt over her “You Belong With Me” video winning over Beyoncé’s now classic video “Single Ladies.” The interruption has gone on to become sort of a pop culture mainstay with “I’ma let you finish but…” becoming a regularly used intro by people all over when they are about to share their thoughts of a better product that was passed up for a perceived inferior one.

Kanye West

The man who, whether you loved him, hated him, or were indifferent to him, was pumping out hit after hit of admittedly well-crafted tunes, piecing together obscure soul samples and creating whole new songs out of them has been replaced by this dead-eyed, lifeless husk of a being who is a rampant Trump supporter, and unable to have a cohesive conversation and back up his assertions with actual facts.

Kanye, The Obstacle

We live in a world where Taylor Swift, who was notoriously silent on political views, is a neo-liberal advocating for young people to vote (resulting in an immense spike in voter registration) while Kanye West is sitting dead-eyed in the Oval Office rambling like a man with no soul, perfectly on par with the malignant narcissist that is our Commander in Chief. Swift, who seems to be inexplicably linked to Kanye in a number of ways, is making more sense in her ivory tower of success and ubiquity than a man who prematurely called himself the voice of a generation in one of his many rants. Those were the days when he was relatively sane, his ego and need to be a part of the elite being the only negative qualities that hampered true greatness. But those qualities were mostly tolerable then or, at the very least, you could ignore his posturing and throw on some Rufus and Chaka and go on about your day. But when a successful artist is on TMZ making uneducated claims about slavery and is in the Oval Office in the presence of a person who truly doesn’t like black people and whose megalomania dwarf’s Kanye’s, then we have truly reached an era in “what the f–k.?”

My creative, nerdy, Octavia Butler-loving side tells myself that Kanye is an android who is acting on gleaned information from interviews or perhaps information shared by the Kardashians. Or, I get a little darker and see Kanye as the victim of melanin envy and swiftly and covertly done away with and replaced by the blandest white males in Trump’s administration. Then reality sets in and I’m no longer able to feed my creative self those stories.

To blame anyone else for Kanye’s downfall is simply lazy and another way in which black male celebrities aren’t being held accountable and I won’t do that. Kanye is the reason Kanye is failing in his career and is destroying his legacy in the process. Despite the fact that he visited Uganda and gifted the children with pairs of his Yeezy sneakers (altruism, I suppose) if the brotha doesn’t get real help, the worst will happen and his accomplishments will be eclipsed by nonsensical behavior.

Kanye West Gave Kids Free Yeezys In Uganda, Still Sunken

Source: STRINGER / Getty

Kanye West is currently in Uganda and attempting to spread goodwill. The Sunken Place MC gave out free adidas Yeezys to the kids while visiting an orphanage in the city of Masulita in the East African nation.

TMZ reports that Yeezy and Kim Kardashian got permission from Uganda’s Trump supporting President, Yoweri Museveni, to used his helicopter to fly to the charity event for kids. Kim and Ye, rocking day-glo fits, were greeted with cheers, even more so when they presented the free footwear.

Of course, West posted clips of the festivities on Twitter because it didn’t really happen if it isn’t documented on social media. We gotta give him credit for visiting the orphanage, though, respect.

Nevertheless, West has a LONG way to go after that Oval Office debacle, if he even cares.

More on the flip.

T.I. Rips Into Kanye West Over His Meeting With Trump [VIDEO]

Power 105.1 FM Presents Jay-Z I Declare War Concert

Kanye West’s latest meeting with Donald Trump has left a ton of people unsettled, including his peers like T.I. who has recorded music with the rapper.

“Now I’ve been extremely patient and made it a point to not jump to any premature conclusions about Ye’& his antics… Partially due to the lessons learned from the outcome of other similar situations dealing wit my brother Wayne (which I admittedly mishandled a bit in hindsight) But now this shit is next level, futuristic Sambo,Hopping Bob, Stephen off Django ass shit Ye!!!! From what I can gather,” T.I. wrote in an Instagram post under video of Kanye’s rant in the White House.

In case you missed it, Kanye West visited the White House yesterday (October 11) to discuss a slew of things ranging from black-on-black crime to unity to make the president look good. It was the last straw for T.I., who once supported Ye.

“This is the most repulsive, disgraceful, embarrassing act of desperation & auctioning off of one’s soul to gain power I’ve ever seen,” he wrote, revealing that Kanye asked him to go to the White House with him.

“If you behaved that spinelessly in my presence, I feel that I’d be compelled to slap de’ f**k outta you bro, for the people,” he said. “You’re a** kissing and bootlicking on a whole new level and I refuse to associate myself with something so vile, weak and inconsiderate to the effect this has on the greater good of ALL OUR PEOPLE! At one time it was a pleasure to work alongside you… now, I’m ashamed to have ever been associated with you.”

T.I. also warned Yeezy fans to beware because “this is a play to put him in a position he’d like to see himself in.”

“As long as I’ve lived I’ve learned that it benefits a man nothing at all to gain the world, if to do so he must lose his soul,” he added. “We just saw Mr.West’s Soul on auction. If you listen closely you can hear the tears of our ancestors hit the floor. All I can say is I’ve reached my limits. This is my stop, I’m officially DONE! F**k Trump and his lil’ cookie boy.”

Kim Kardashian Shows Off Her Curves While Traveling with Husband Kanye West to Uganda

Kanye West has made good on a promise to take a trip to Africa — and he took his wife Kim Kardashian along with him.

The famous couple arrived at Uganda’s Entebbe International Airport on Friday and later checked into a local lodge with their daughter North.

In images published by TMZ and the Daily Mail, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, 37, wears a monochromatic outfit featuring a grey shirt with a matching mini backpack and a pair of form-fitting bike shorts.

Adding a pop of color into his low-key ensemble, the rapper, 41, wore a blue sweatshirt with a purple cap.

Blending her parents’ style, North, 5, was seen in a pair of bright green pants with a matching top.

The couple plans to stay in Africa until Oct. 19, according to TMZ.

Earlier in October, West explained that he had pushed back the release of his album Yandhi in order to record in Africa.

“I didn’t finish it,” the rapper said during a TMZ Live interview, explaining that during a recent trip to Chicago he “felt this energy” and realized he needed “to go to what is known as Africa.”

He also remarked that he’d like to “have my kids in the studio and have my mic in the open so we can hear nature while we’re recording.”

Photos and videos shared on the popular Instagram account Team Kanye Daily indicate that the rapper has already set up a studio to finish recording the album, which is slated to be released on Nov. 23.

In the weeks leading up the famous family’s trip, West went on a number of public rants that have raised eyebrows and generated concern for his wellbeing.

Kim is very uncomfortable and unhappy with the whole situation,” a source previously told PEOPLE about the Kimoji creator, who shares daughters North and Chicago, 8 months, and son Saint, 2½, with West.

“She finds Kanye brilliant, so it makes her upset when he goes on these public rants and come across as someone who isn’t well,” added the source. “All she can do is hope that he calms down mentally soon.”

On Thursday afternoon, during a meeting with President Donald Trump in the Oval Office, West — who avidly supports and voted for the president in the 2016 election — claimed that he was “misdiagnosed” with bipolar disorder. (The rapper also recently revealed that he is “off medication” he had previously been taking to treat the disorder.)

Since West disclosed that he is no longer taking his medication, people in his inner circle have been “telling him that he needs to get back on his medication, that he’s not doing well, that he’s not making any sense,” an insider told PEOPLE earlier in October.

And while the Kardashians have been an unwavering support system to him, the source said that “the entire family is at the end of their ropes, and stuff like this won’t help.”

“They’re trying to help him get things where they should be, and it’s going to be that much harder now,” the source added. “It’s a sad day.”

T.I. Discusses Trap Music, Donald Trump And Kanye West In The Latest Interview

Variety just caught up with T.I. and had the most exciting interview about trap music, Donald Trump and Kanye West. This came just ahead of the much-awaited premiere of Tip and Tiny Harris’ show that’s set to begin on October 22nd.

When Variety asked Tip about why he started making trap music, he answered that he just wanted to become a voice for the voiceless.

‘There was a lot of party music at that time, a lot of glitz and glamor, and there was conscious music. Yes, there was music about the drug trade, but there wasn’t anything as vivid and real about the dealers, that elaborated on the life – to humanize it all in a way that “Trap Muzik” did,’ Tip said.

When Variety brought up Kanye West who went to the White House to discuss some issues with president Donald Trump, they mentioned the way in which Tip had previously described Kanye’s actions: repulsive, disgraceful, embarrassing and more.

The magazine told T.I. to explain how he really feels about the matter and here’s what he said:

‘To be honest, if something good comes of it, great. But you don’t just sell out a bunch of people to get nothing done. You don’t sell out a whole generation and a whole race of people to get nothing done. ‘

He also said that Kanye invited him as well at the meeting, but he refused and said that he is not a politician and more experienced people should go instead of him.

You can read the complete interview in Variety because it’s really interesting and sheds more light on how Tip feels about Kanye.

Kanye West’s Donald Trump Meeting Goes Predictably Off Script

(AP Photo/Evan Vucci)

WASHINGTON (AP) — Declaring that his red “MAGA” hat makes him “feel like Superman,” rapper Kanye West made a free-styling appearance in the Oval Office Thursday.

Ahead of a private lunch, President Donald Trump and West spoke with reporters as they sat across from each other at the Resolute desk. West dominated the conversation with a series of monologues that touched on social policy, mental health, endorsement deals and his support for the president.

“Trump is on his hero’s journey right now,” West said, tossing out an expletive to describe himself.

West said that many people believe that, if you’re black, you have to be a Democrat and said he was pressured not to wear his red “Make America Great Again” hat. But he said “this hat, it gives me power.”

West credited Trump with preventing a war with North Korea and encouraged Trump to swap his usual Air Force One for a hydrogen-powered plane. West also argued that Trump deserved more respect, saying: “if he don’t look good, we don’t look good.”

During a pause in West’s comments, Trump said: “I tell you what that was pretty impressive.” He also described West as a “smart cookie.”

The rapper also spoke against stop-and-frisk policing policies, which Trump recently expressed support for. Trump said he was open to other ideas.

Trump recently tweeted praise for West, who closed a “Saturday Night Live” show wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat and delivering an unscripted pro-Trump message after the credits rolled.

West is married to reality television star Kim Kardashian West, who pushed Trump to grant a pardon for a drug offender this year.

Naturally, folks all over the political map had to weigh in:

Trump’s Biggest Fan, Kanye West, Heads to the White House Today

Drew Angerer

One of the many baffling phenomena of the Trump era has been the readiness of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West to hang out with the president, despite his overt and well documented racism and sexism.

The process will reach its peak today when Kanye West drops in for lunch and then witnesses the signing of a new bill to update the way music royalties are paid to take account of the impact of streaming services.

Kim, of course, has already called into the White House for her photo op with Trump (who once said she had a ‘fat ass‘) as part of her successful campaign to secure a pardon for a grandmother caught up in drug conspiracy.

SNL’s Pete Davidson Slams Kanye West For Pro-Trump Rant [Video]

Last week, Kanye West delivered a pro-Trump speech on SNL, and on Saturday night, the show responded via Pete Davidson, who clowned the rapper’s off-air MAGA rant at the end of the “Weekend Update” segment.

“So many times I talk to a white person and [they] say, ‘How could you like Trump, he’s racist?’ Well, if I was concerned about racism I would’ve moved out of America a long time ago,” West told the Saturday Night Live audience. He also pledged to run for president in 2020.

Pete encouraged West to take his meds — “Davidson admitted that he’s on medication as well — and capped off the segment by donning a “Make Kanye 2006 Again” hat,” Page Six writes.

On Saturday, Davidson called West’s speech “one of the worst, most awkward things I’ve ever seen here. We all had to stand behind him,” he continued as video of the speech played, “I’m on the left [his head is down in the video], and then I’m like, ‘I want a career,’ so I leave” the stage.

He also addressed West’s claim that “they” tried to “bully” him out of wearing the MAGA hat.

“So Kanye was wearing a ‘MAGA’ hat, and he started by saying people backstage tried to bully him into not wearing it,” Davidson said. “He wore it all week. Nobody told him not to wear it — I wish would have suggested that it might upset some people, like your wife, or, like, every black person, ever.”

“Kanye is a genius,” he continued, “but a musical genius, like Joey Chestnut is a hot-dog eating genius. I don’t want to hear Joey Chestnut’s opinions about things that aren’t hot dog related!”

Davidson then asked West to resume taking his medication.

“Kanye, I know you’re like, ‘Yo, this is the real me, I’m off the meds’,” which West has said on at least two occasions. “Take ‘em! There’s no shame in the medicine game! I’m on ‘em — take ‘em! if I ever got on a plane and the pilot said, ‘I just want you all to know this is the real me flying,’” I’d jump out!

“Being mentally ill is not an excuse to act like a jackass,” he concluded. “Seriously: one time I stopped taking my meds, and I bit my mom. But it’s all good because I bought her a house.”

He finished by putting on a “Make Kanye 2006 Again” hat… watch the clip above.

Martellus Bennett To Kanye West: ‘Don’t Drag Kaepernick Into Your Sh*Thole’

Kanye West’s Basketball Sneaker Banned From NBA

National Basketball Association league officials confirmed that players will be allowed to wear any sneaker they wish this upcoming season, regardless of color. Any sneaker that is, except the basketball sneaker created by Kanye West.

In prior seasons it was mandatory for players to wear league-compliant sneakers or they would face a hefty fine. This will be the first time since Adam Silver became NBA commissioner in 2014 that players have their choice of footwear.

According to an ESPN report the stringent rule change is an effort on the NBA’s behalf to allow players to express themselves while on the court. Until now, the rule on player footwear was that all sneakers worn on the court had to be 51% white or black with minimal team color accent to top it off, depending on home and visiting teams.

Rapper Kanye West, who is in partnership with Adidas for his Yeezy product line, took to his Instagram account to debut a first look at his “YZY BSKTBL” sneaker.

Prior to this model, all of West’s sneaker designs have been for lifestyle wear and not for athletic purposes. This is the first time that the Yeezy brand is venturing into sports footwear since he released his first sneaker in 2015.

However, according to industry sources, the NBA is banning the current version of Kanye’s sneaker. The move is not because of the colors in the sneaker or because of his recent controversial comments made on social media.

The ban is because of the shoe’s gleaming, reflective-material heel. The NBA fears that the 3M material would be distracting to the crowd and also for those watching the game at home.

The Yeezy basketball sneaker was supposed to be worn during the regular season by Adidas signees like Nick Young, Donovan Mitchell, and Iman Shumpert, to name a few. With the ban on the current model of Kanye’s basketball sneaker, there is no word yet if Adidas will make the necessary adjustment to appease the NBA.

Kanye West Comes Under Attack For Pro-Trump Speech On SNL

Kanye West came under attack over a politically-charged speech he delivered in support of President Donald Trump during last weekend’s Saturday Night Live premiere. After playing “I Love It” on SNL, the 41 year-old rapper sang “Ghost Town from Ye” wearing a red “Make America Great Again” baseball cap. The show ended with an unscripted, pro-Trump rant by West: “It’s so many times that I talk to l
