Nutty chocolate-stuffed Krispy Kremes are a thing and we’re here for it

Yes. Yes. Yes.

krispy kreme

There’s so many delicious chocolatey treats going around at the moment we don’t know where to start – so we’ll be picking up everything. That includes the Hotel Chocolate Easter sandwiches, this Prosecco-infused egg and the brand new ruby chocolate Easter gem.

But if you’re looking for a non-Easter themed delight, what could be better than an Original Krispy Kreme doughnut? How about an Original Filled doughnut?

The masterminds over at Krispy Kreme have decided to stuff the classic sweet treat with two different flavours – you can choose from a chocolate hazlenut sauce (ahem, Nutella-esque), or the deliciously addictive salted caramel. Each doughnut is ring-shaped with the flavoured sauce oozing through the middle. That’s right – it’s not just lightly coated with the stuff, it’s actually filled. Yum.

These new additions will set you back £1.90, which is 35p more than the Original Glazed and 15p more than a topped doughnut.

The Krsipy Kreme ‘magic in the middle’ pop-up experience is currently happening in Great Newport Street, Leicester Square, London. It’s open for two days – from 8th to the 9th of March – to celebrate the launch of the new Original Filled dougnuts, and they’ll be handed out for free.

If you can’t make it down to the pop-up, you’ll be able to get your hands on the Original Filled Krispy Kreme doughnuts in stores and at your local supermarket until April 7th.

We’re so ready.

We want to try everything

Whether you love it or loathe it, there’s no escaping the fact that Valentine’s Day is approaching and everything is getting a romantic makeover. From Lush Valentine’s Day bath bombs (which should never be used as sex toys, FYI) to Ben and Jerry’s new Valentine’s Day flavour, there are things out there that we can all enjoy – singletons and loved-up couples alike.

And as the most ro/bromantic day of the year edges ever closer, we’ve got another nugget of happiness to share with you – Krispy Kreme doughnuts are getting a huge Valentine’s Day makeover on February 14th.

For one day only, Krispy Kreme is turning its entire doughnut range into hearts and hugs. Everything will be ring or heart shaped, so if you’re stuck for ideas then a dozen tray of these will go down a treat.

And that’s not all. There will also be three brand new flavours for you to try with your pals or partner.

First up there’s the Nutty Chocolate Heart, filled with Nutella, dipped in a rich chocolate icing and decorated with hazelnut pieces.

Then there’s the Raspberry Romance, dipped in chocolate icing, filled with raspberry and chocolate truffle Kreme and hand decorated with raspberry pieces and an icing drizzle.

Last but not least, they’re offering the cute Smiley Heart, dipped in strawberry icing with a sticky strawberry filling and strawberry flavoured Kreme.

All the new flavours will set you back £2.20 individually or £6 for a pack of three, and will be available from 28th January – 24th February so you’ve got a month to get your hands on them.

Plenty of time to try them all.

What better way to spend a romantic night in with your SO or a chilled-out Galentine’s than downing doughnuts.
