Kristin Cavallari’s Christmas Tradition Keeps Her Kids ‘In Line’

Kristin Cavallari’s holiday tradition doesn’t involve caroling or decorating sugar cookies. 

“Growing up, the elves would come every day before Christmas, and if you were good, they’d leave a little something in your stocking, and if you were bad, you got coal,” Cavallari, 31, told Us Weekly exclusively at the Uncommon James pop-up shop at The Grove in Los Angeles on Tuesday, November 27.

Now, the Hills alum and her husband, Jay Cutler, do the same thing every December with their children, Camden, 6, Jaxon, 4, and Saylor, 3. “It’s a good way to keep your kids in line and have them be on their best behavior,” the Very Cavallari star told Us.

There will be plenty of presents under the tree this year at the couple’s Nashville home. Camden and Jaxon have already completed their Santa wish lists. “They had toy magazines come to the house and they cut things out and put them together,” Cavallari told Us.

Though daughter Saylor isn’t ready for scissors just yet, she verbally expressed what she wants. “She’s into her baby dolls right now, so I got her a little baby carrier,” the E! personality revealed. 

The whole family will feast on homemade meatballs and sauce on Christmas Eve — Cavallari swears by her dad’s recipe — and then on December 26, they will hop a flight to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The trip is Cavallari and the retired football player’s gift to each other. As the Balancing in Heels author shared with Us: “It’s more just about spending time together.”

Cavallari and the athlete, 35, tied the knot in June 2013. This will be their ninth Christmas together.

Seacrest’s Grooming Line to Be Sold on Amazon

Ryan Seacrest is making the jump to Amazon — at least for his skin-care line.
The television personality and entrepreneur will begin selling his direct-to-consumer brand, Polished by Dr. Lancer, on Amazon’s Luxury Beauty vertical.
Polished is a collaboration between Seacrest and celebrity dermatologist Dr. Harold Lancer, who has worked with Victoria Beckham, the Kardashians and others. It launched in 2017, but has only been available on the brand’s own e-commerce site.
“We brought Polished by Dr. Lancer to market so that men everywhere could experience a little bit of Dr. Lancer’s skin-care genius for themselves,” said Seacrest. “Our new relationship with Amazon marks an important milestone for the brand and will provide easy access to this great product.”
The product offering includes a microscrub for $ 35, a dual cleanse and shave for $ 20, a sunscreen for $ 35, an antiaging serum for $ 55, a lip-care sunscreen for $ 10 and a four-piece travel kit for $ 48.
Other brands on the Amazon Luxury Beauty site include L’Occitane, Calvin Klein, The Art of Shaving, Elizabeth Arden and dozens more.

Wu-Tang Launches Lipstick Line And Announces Nov. 9 is ‘Wu-Tang Clan Day’

After creating the “cash rules everything around me” mantra, multiple classic hip-hop albums, and a blueprint for turning gritty street rap into mainstream success, the Wu-Tang Clan is giving the world lipstick.

The legendary rap group teamed up with Milk Makeup to launch their own lipstick line. The limited-edition collection is 100% vegan and comes in eight colors. Just like the hip-hop group, the lip colors are heavily inspired by Chinese culture—from its core ingredients to its package designs—to each of their names: Sacred, Fire, Chi, Flow, Frequency, Source, Cypher, and Ruckus, a reference to the I Ching Trigrams:


Although the collaboration may seem odd for the hardcore rappers, Wu-Tang’s RZA said it made sense since Milk Makeup founder Mazdack Rassi is a fellow New Yorker with whom he shares a lot of commonalities. He added that his wife, former Ford Model Agency model Talani Rabb-Diggs, loved the line idea and helped bring it into fruition.

“I have a great relationship with Milk’s founder, Rassi, and as New Yorkers, we’ve frequented some of the same circles,” RZA told Billboard. “We spoke about fashion and the cosmetic world and I revealed that my wife has a cool perspective about makeup [because] in her youth, she was in the modeling circles. She is a fan of Milk Makeup’s products and when [Rassi and I] talked about forming a collaboration that reflected our NYC sensibility and philosophy, makeup became the unique and unpredictable choice. The Milk Makeup collaboration was spearheaded by my wife.”


The line also pays homage to the group’s underground NYC roots and celebrates self-expression and strength. Harlem-born singer Teyana Taylor is featured in a video ad promoting the collection as a Wu Warrior, performing Kung Fu-inspired choreography.

“In previous generations, the feminine energy has been dampened by the world. But now, women’s strength, beauty, and wisdom is finally being celebrated,” said RZA, according to The National. “Warriors come in all forms, but right now women are the modern warriors, unapologetic in their strength and speaking out about things they’ve held in or feared they’d be shunned for, on both a personal and political level.”

The collection is sold exclusively on MilkMakeup.com for $ 440 or $ 55 for each lip color.

On Thursday, Wu-Tang held an event to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their iconic debut album, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), with the premiere of a short documentary titled, For the Children: 25 Years of Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). In the film, the Staten Island-born rappers reflect on their journey from the early days of their careers to ascending to hip-hop icons. A$ AP Rocky, A$ AP Ferg, and Gary Vaynerchuck also make appearances in the film.

At the film’s debut in Brooklyn, RZA announced Nov. 9 as “Wu-Tang Day” to commemorate the release of the groundbreaking album on Nov. 9, 1993. “Tomorrow, Staten Island, New York, is going to recognize Nov. 9 as the official Wu-Tang Clan day,” he declared.

Adidas has come out with a shoe line that has ocean activists captivated.

Adidas paired up with Parley for the Oceans to create an eco-friendly shoe line made from recycled ocean plastics.

A message from Parley for the Oceans: 

Here are the problems our ocean is currently facing. A massive amount of plastic trash ends up in our oceans every year. The ocean currents have formed five gigantic, slow-moving whirlpools where the plastic collects, nicknamed Vortex. Recent studies indicate that at least 5 trillion pieces weighing over 250,000 tons are now floating in the world’s oceans. The majority of the plastic debris sinks or remains in the Vortexes, however, a significant percentage of it washes onto our coastlines daily.

After sunlight photodegrades the plastic into small pieces, aquatic life and seabirds mistake these fragments for food and ingest it.

While it’s difficult to know exact figures, a 2012 report from WSPA indicates that between 57,000 and 135,000 whales are entangled by plastic marine debris every year in addition to the inestimable – but likely millions – of birds, turtles, fish and other species affected by plastic marine debris.

New studies show that ingested plastic damages the internal organs of fish. This raises the question about the safety of our seafood.

A Subtle Twist Of Line: Richard Berner Live Screen Printing Event

Meet Richard Berner, the host of this month’s Live Edition Printing evening with The Private Press.

What links Audrey Hepburn, Amy Winehouse, the Houses of Parliament and a tentacle-wielding creature from the deep? Unless you have any other (we’d like to say unlikely) suggestions, the answer to that would be Brighton-based artist Richard Berner.

A regular feature on the walls at artrepublic Brighton, Berner’s work blends fine ink work and cultural iconography with a dusting of dark humour. While some of his images are straight-up homages to famous figures, such as David Bowie, Charlie Chaplin and, erm, Storm Troopers, each finished with watercolour hues, drips and splodges, others have the hallmarks of those classic political caricatures found in famous international newspapers and journals for centuries. You know, the ones that take familiar forms and figures but toy with them just enough to make a clever commentary or subtle joke.

Whether it’s a beautiful moth that turns out to be made up of hundreds of tiny skeletons and ghoulish creatures, or a King Kong-like figure ascending Big Ben, drawn in a way that references Dali’s dripping clocks, Berner’s illustrative images definitely reward close inspection. The great news is, you can get up really close to the artist’s next limited edition, as he’s producing it at this month’s Live Edition Printing evening at the gallery, run in collaboration with The Private Press.

Join us at artrepublic Brighton on 26 October, from 6-8pm, as Berner unveils, hand-finishes and signs an edition of just 50 prints, which you can buy there and then. As usual, the after-work creative session will also feature drinks at the gallery and a chance to meet the artist and have a chat about his work.

Kiton Celebrates KNT Line

NEW YORK — Antonio De Matteis, the chief executive officer of Kiton, looked on like a proud father as his twin sons, Mariano and Walter De Matteis, explained their collection KNT, short for Kiton New Textures, which hit stores Thursday night.
“It’s all their vision,” said Antonio, wearing a suit at the Kiton flagship here while his sons wore the more relaxed styles from the KNT collection.
The line utilizes the same premium fabrics as Kiton, but the collection, which is the same price point, is much sportier. The brothers showcased jackets, joggers, shirts and sneakers. The textile patterns are inspired by urban architecture and the color palette is mostly black, white, gray and blue. For now, the pieces are showcased in a small space in front of the Kiton store. The twins said they are attempting to cater to the existing Kiton customer and bring in a new one.
“We love creating new paths, discovering and exploiting opportunities where others only see obstacles,” said Mariano. Walter added: “We are honest to ourselves, respectful of our own historical DNA and of our own spirit without compromise.”
