Meghan Markle Cradles Baby Bump as She Meets Members of the Public with Prince Harry in Auckland

The weather finally cleared up for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they greeted fans in Auckland, New Zealand.

After a busy day that included dedicating an area of native bush to the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy, participating in “welly wanging” contest with local children and visiting a charity that supports children who have a parent in prison, the royal couple met members of the public.

As they interacted with fans, the royal parents-to-be received several gifts from the crowd including an All Blacks — the country’s football team — onesie, a tui bird soft toy and even a rain boot, or a Wellington as locals call the footwear, stuffed with roses.

Meghan, 37, stepped out in a beige Brandon Maxwell dress with matching Stuart Weitzman pumps and a beige Burberry Bishop trench coat.

The dress clung to her baby bump which she cradled as she walked along with Harry, 34,  by her side. For their meet and greet, the prince wore a navy suit with a white button-down shirt underneath.

The duo made sure to talk to as many royal fans as possible — especially the younger members of the crowd.

Meghan invited a little girl through the crowd control fence and was rewarded with a sweet stuffed toy of a native tui bird.

Harry was particularly enamored with a little baby and reached out and gave the child what appeared to be a little tickle.

“Walkabouts,” as the royal meet and greets are commonly referred to, have provided some of Meghan and Harry’s most candid moments of the royal tour. Shortly after arriving to New Zealand, Meghan comforted a sobbing teenage fan by holding her hands.

One young royal fan who was wearing a shirt that read “Girls Can Do Anything” caught Harry’s eye in Sydney — so much that he just had to call his wife over to meet her.

“We feel she looks a bit like you,” a person in the crowd is heard telling Meghan in a video posted by Harry Meghan Updates on Instagram.

The Duchess of Sussex replied, “I was literally about to say the same thing!”

Harry then took a fan’s phone to snap a photo of Meghan with her mini-me —  a rare move for the prince, who usually adheres to the royal protocol of no autographs or selfies.

Earlier in the day, the royal couple bonded with local children from the environmental education group, “Trees of Survival,” and joined the kids for a “welly wanging” contest.

The objective of the game was to throw a Wellington boot — which New Zealanders refer to as “Wellies” — as far as possible. (Wellingtons are equivalent to what Americans call rainboots, Bean Boots, or duck boots.)

The children cheered as Meghan showed off her strength and won the competition, throwing her red-and-white polka-dotted boot approximately a meter away from Harry’s blue boot. For the win, the Duchess was rewarded with a rainboot-shaped trophy.

Adding to the couple’s growing list of baby gifts, Meghan and Harry were also given a small pair of green and white boots for their newest family member.

Later on in the day, the Royals joined New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern in Auckland for a visit to Pillars, a charity that supports children who have a parent in prison by providing special mentoring programs.

Meghan and Harry already had a special connection to the charity: as a wedding present to the couple, the government of New Zealand gifted $ 5,000 to Pillars. During Tuesday’s visit, they met some of the children who directly benefited from the funding.

The royal couple started their whirlwind 16-day tour Down Under in Sydney, with a number of day trips to other areas of the country, and kicked off the 2018 Invictus Games before spending a few days in Fiji and Tonga.

They returned to Sydney for the end of the Invictus Games before heading to New Zealand to wrap their tour.

Meghan and Harry will wrap up their busy day at a reception hosted by the Prime Minister at the Auckland War Memorial Museum.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle broke away from tour for a mini moon

These two!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle set off on their royal tour this month, with the couple currently on the New Zealand leg of their trip, having already visited Australia, Fiji and the kingdom of Tonga.

But with a jam-packed schedule of official events and appearances, it’s hardly surprising that Harry and Meghan haven’t had much downtime – something they surely need, especially following the news of their future baby, expected in Spring 2019.

It has recently emerged however that the now Duke and Duchess of Sussex did actually escape for a mini moon on their tour and we didn’t even notice.

The royal couple reportedly took some time away during their royal tour of Fiji, escaping for a ‘mini moon’ at the Vatuvara Private Islands Resort on Kaibu Island, before returning to royal duties in Tonga.

Meghan has opened about her pregnancy during the tour, explaining how it has made her feel jet lagged, so here’s hoping she managed to catch up on some sleep!

Luckily, it looks like the mini moon did the trick, with the royal couple seeming relaxed and restored when they arrived in Tonga.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently in New Zealand – and people are talking about them more than ever, especially after Harry let his nickname for his future baby slip!

These two!

Here’s hoping they get to have another mini moon soon!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently undertaking their first official long royal tour, journeying through Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and the Kingdom of Tonga together.

To say that they have been a hit would be a huge understatement, with the royal newlyweds making viral news every day, from their sweet comments about their future arrival to their warm greetings with members of the public.

From Meghan staying up late to bake banana bread for their host family to Prince Harry having his beard stroked by a very young fan, these two might have accomplished one of the most successful (and friendly) royal tours ever.

It’s hardly surprising therefore that there is a high demand for the royal couple to visit other countries too, with many questioning when a tour around the United States would take place.

Well, according to TMZ, a royal tour of the USA was supposed to take place in Spring 2019. It has now however been postponed.

But why the push back? Well, for their baby!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to welcome their newborn in Spring 2019, with an exact due date not yet announced.

It’s hardly surprising therefore that the royal couple want to wait a bit before they travel to America.

Boy Who Made Meghan Markle a Macaroni Necklace Now Taking Jewelry Orders from Around the World

Meghan Markle is known for being a style icon, even when it comes to the homemade accessories she wears.

While greeting fans in Melbourne during the Royal Tour last week, Meghan was approached by 6-year-old Gavin Hazelwood, who gifted the Duchess a homemade pasta necklace. The royal, 37, instantly put the adorable necklace on, and now Gavin is becoming just as well-known with jewelry order requests coming in from around the world.

“We had a lot of people saying to Gavin, you should make more, you’ll make lots of money from this, everybody will want to buy her necklace,” his mom, Rowan Hazelwood, told Network 10, as reported by CBS News.

The family decided to create a website for Gavin, where fans can purchase the dinosaur-shaped pasta with gold paint necklaces for $ 20. The kindergartener has since received orders from Australia, the U.K. and the U.S.

Gavin intends on donating all of his profits to a stillborn research charity, CBS reported, as his mother previously lost a baby girl.

“She’s a part of our lives still, even for the kids, and they talk to her every day,” she told Network 10.

The Melbourne native, who was adorably dressed as a Qantas pilot, crafted the ribbon and gold-painted pasta necklace earlier that morning after telling his mom he was feeling sick so he could skip school and make the necklace for Meghan.

“I did the pasta with gold paint. Mum helped me thread through the necklace,” he told Fairfax Media.

After receiving the gift, Meghan immediately put it on over her navy Dion Lee dress. The royal mom-to-be, who is expecting her first child with Prince Harry, proudly wore the gift during the rest of the outing until she arrived at a formal reception inside Government House.

Meghan often wears jewelry that has sentimental meaning.

Earlier in the tour, she wore butterfly earrings that once belonged to Princess Diana. And when Prince Harry and Meghan first began dating, she was spotted wearing a gold, personalized necklace with the letters M and H on it.

Prince Harry just made a very public speech about Meghan Markle and their baby

And it’s too much!

Ever since Prince Harry showed off his parenting skills, jokily scolding a little boy for pulling his wife’s hair and then catching two-year-old Emily Henson stealing his popcorn at last year’s Invictus Games, fans have been waiting for the 33-year-old Prince to become a father himself.

And now it seems the time is here.

Yes, after tying the knot in May, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced last week that they were expecting a baby, arriving in Spring 2019.

The news broke soon after the royal couple’s arrival in Australia for their royal tour, with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly telling the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, Prince William and Kate Middleton at Princess Eugenie’s wedding.

Following the official statement by Kensington Palace, the future parents have spoken out about their excitement.

‘Thank you for the welcome you have given Meghan and I over the last few days,’ Prince Harry announced in his speech at the Invictus Games opening ceremony. ‘I have been so proud to be able to introduce my wife to you and we have been so happy to be able to celebrate the personal joy of our newest addition with you all.

Unsurprisingly the comments have set the internet alight with excitement, and it’s not the first comments the couple have made about their future arrival, while on tour.

While visiting a family in Dubbo, New South Wales, Meghan is said to have opened up about her pregnancy with mother Emily Carroll, who has 13-month-old daughter Ruby.

‘Meghan told me that she’s feeling pretty good so far, which is great, and that she’s running on adrenalin,’ Emily explained. ‘She said they’re doing 76 engagements in 16 days, with maybe one rest in the middle.

Emily continued: ‘She’s made for this royal business, isn’t she? They’re both great with kids.’

‘We also genuinely couldn’t think of a better place to announce the, er, upcoming baby,’ Prince Harry said during a speech last week. ‘Whether it’s a boy or a girl. So thank you very, very much.’

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Make a Quick Outfit Change to Hit the Beach in Australia

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are keeping the beach clean — and looking stylish while doing it!

The couple, who announced Monday that they are expecting their first child, continued the third day of their royal tour by visiting Albert Park Primary School and also the beach in Melbourne, Australia.

Before their final outings of the day, the pair made quick outfit changes from their earlier looks. They did not, however, choose the most practical beach attire.

Meghan, 37, ditched her navy dress and matching suede heels for a black Club Monaco “Miguelina” dress with her trusty black Rothy’s flats — a shoe she has previously switched into during their tour.

She did, however, kept on her Martin Grant trench coat which has been a fashion staple for her during their royal tour.

Meanwhile, Harry, 34, — who matched his wife at their prior events in a navy suit with a white button-down shirt — switched into a pair of black pants and a gray jacket.

The royal ditched his tie and opted to leave his shirt collar buttoned.

The couple first met with student Sustainability Leaders and Waste Warriors at Albert Park Primary School and learned how the sustainability programs are integrated into the curriculum, before being greeted by many of the school’s younger students.

At one stop along the school’s pathway, Harry sweetly asked a group of students — who were lined up outside excitedly squealing, waving, and yelling their names — if this is where they went to school. One child ignored the question and instead, simply told the prince that he resembled their uncle.

Keeping with their sustainable theme, the pair rode public transport to their next stop, hopping on one of Melbourne’s iconic trams for a short ride from the school to South Melbourne Beach.

As they left, onlookers waved from the crowd, while some even stood on top of their roofs across the street to catch a glimpse of the royal couple.

Onboard the tram, the royals interacted with more schoolchildren during the quick ride. A few minutes later, they arrived at the beach where they were welcomed by another large set of excited onlookers.

As they made their way onto the sand, the couple was greeted by volunteers from BeachPatrol and local children from the area for a beach cleanup. The organization dedicates itself to keeping Melbourne’s shores free of litter to reduce the negative impact of litter on the marine environment and food chain as well as provide a safe environment for the public to enjoy their local beach.

During the outing, Harry and Meghan were also introduced to four lifeguards from the beach.

But the couple didn’t stay much longer after that and finally headed back towards land.

After their departure, one teen — who introduced himself as 15-year-old Milo Thompson — said he was especially impressed with the royal couple’s demeanor during his interaction with them on the sand.

“I was expecting to introduce myself and be real proper,” he said of meeting Prince Harry. “But he came and introduced himself and was calm and collected, and paying a lot of attention to us… they’re down-to-earth and fun to be around.”

Earlier in the day, Meghan and Harry met fans in Melbourne, gathered on the grounds of the city’s Royal Botanic Gardens. One lucky young woman even got a giant hug from the prince, causing her to break down in (very happy!) tears.

After greeting fans, Meghan and Harry headed to a reception with local government.

While there, the royal couple was shown several sporting demonstrations, including a student-designed Formula 1 racing project, which gave Meghan a fright during its incredibly loud launch.

“I did not expect that!” she exclaimed of their speedy takeoff while laughing at her own jumpy reaction.

Meanwhile, Harry looked as happy as a child in a toy store, beaming at the cars and laughed at his wife’s startled reaction. “Wasn’t quite expecting that,” he joked to her. Harry even fist-pumped when they were first invited to try the cars.

While the boys showed off their car project, outside the girls showed off their sporting skills. Meghan met with ambassadors from This Girl Can, which is an organization focused on encouraging women to take up sports.

During the outing, Meghan demonstrated her athleticism, tossing around an AFL football and showing off her best hand-passing skills.

They were then treated to a cooking demonstration showcasing native Australian food at a social enterprise restaurant which provides guidance and opportunity to young Aboriginal people who are in need of a fresh start in life.

During the demo led by Executive Chef Greg Hampton, Meghan and Harry were able to taste some fresh herbs from the area.

Tomorrow, the couple will head back to Sydney for the weekend, before making a stop at Frasier Island on Monday.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have received their first baby gift, and it’s very appropriate

You’ll never guess what it is…

Less than 48 hours after the announcement that Meghan Markle is pregnant and the couple have already received a gift for their first child.

Kensington Palace announced on Monday that the baby is due in spring 2019 – although people already reckon they’ve worked out Meghan’s due date.

While the royal family found out the news on Friday, it’s thought that Meghan shared her pregnancy with this person a couple of months before.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had a jam-packed first day of their royal tour in Sydney, meeting Invictus games representatives as well as visiting a zoo and the Royal Opera House.

At the beginning of the day the pair were presented with a cuddly kangaroo by Australia’s Governor General, Sir Peter Cosgrove, to which Meghan exclaimed, ‘Our first baby gift!’

Later they also received a tiny pair of Ugg boots that we’re sure will come in handy – although Meghan already has a gift for her future daughter, which she’s had for years.

At Taronga Zoo the couple also met a pair of baby koalas that had been named after them in honour of their nuptials, according to The Sun. We’re jealous.

‘We genuinely couldn’t think of a better place to announce the upcoming baby, be it a boy or a girl,’ Harry said of the baby news.

Watch this space for more pictures and updates from Meghan and Harry’s tour as we get them.
