Kandi Burruss Says She’ll Never Have A Relationship With Phaedra Again

Kandi Burruss seems to be open to forging a friendship with Porsha Williams after their explosive fallout on the Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 9 reunion.

But the Xscape singer says a friendship with Phaedra Parks is out of the question.

On Sunday’s Watch What Happens Live a caller asked Kandi, “Now that you and Porsha are in a better place, do you think you and Phaedra will ever come to mends?”“Nah,” Kandi replied instantly. “Absolutely not. Absolutely not. That was too far. That was too much. I’ve never heard anything [from her]. No apologies, no nothing. And I’m cool with that. We don’t ever have to talk again, and I’m good. Let’s move forward.”

Season 9 saw Kandi confronting Phaedra about her role in spreading the vicious rumor that Burruss and her husband wanted to take advantage of Porsha.

Later in the show, Kandi and guest Keke Palmer indulged in a kinky version of “Never Have I Ever” that played out like this…

Question: Never have I ever had sex in a hot tub under the stars.

Who Sipped: Kandi

Question: Never have I ever gotten kinky in the back of a movie theater during a date night.

Who Sipped: Kandi and Keke

Question: Never have I ever woken up next to a stranger after a night of hardcore partying.

Who Sipped: No one, but Andy added, “I mean, what’s a stranger? Everyone’s a friend!”

Question: Never have I ever taken a naughty photo and sent it to someone as a goodnight pic.

Who Sipped: No one. “I don’t send pictures and I don’t do video,” Kandi said. Keke added, “No face!” and the two high-fived.

Question: Never have I ever made a booty call to someone past midnight.

Who Sipped: Kandi, Keke and Andy

Question: Never have I ever showed up to my lover’s house late at night in lingerie and a trench coat.

Who Sipped: No one. “I wish I could do something that bold!” Keke said.

Question: Never have I ever watched porn with my significant other before bedtime.

Who Sipped: Kandi, Keke and Andy

These Are Some of the Most Beloved Heroes and Villains You’d Never Know Without Stan Lee

In the wake of reports that Stan Lee passed away at the age of 95 on Monday, fans are mourning the loss of the legendary Marvel Comics creator.

Lee, who made cameos in a number of the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, is credited with creating some of the most popular comic book superheroes and villains of all time, including Spider-Man, the X-Men and the Incredible Hulk.

“I think everybody loves things that are bigger than life. … I think of them as fairy tales for grown-ups,” he told The Associated Press in a 2006 interview. “We all grew up with giants and ogres and witches. Well, you get a little bit older and you’re too old to read fairy tales. But I don’t think you ever outgrow your love for those kind of things, things that are bigger than life and magical and very imaginative.”

The true origin stories of some superheroes aren’t always clear. But without Stan Lee, the world of heroes and villains would be a lot smaller.

Say What Now? Sinéad O’Connor Says She Never Wants to Spend Time with White People Again: ‘The Are Disgusting’

Sinéad O’Connor has been going by the name Shuhada Davitt since converting to Islam and now the 51-year-old singer says she doesn’t want to come in contact with anyone who doesn’t share her beliefs — specifically, ‘white people.’

via People:

Last month, she confirmed on Twitter her conversion to Islam, explaining that her new faith “is the natural conclusion of any intelligent theologian’s journey.”

“All scripture leads to Islam. Which makes all other scriptures redundant,” the Grammy winner added, before revealing she would henceforth be known by a new name. “I will be given (another) new name. It will be Shuhada.’”

In addition to changing her name on her Twitter page, she also replaced her profile picture with a photo that reads “Wear a hijab just do it” alongside the Nike swoosh logo. Additionally, her Twitter bio now reads, “PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IF YOU POST RACIST OR ANTI MUSLIM RHETORIC ON THIS PAGE YOU WILL BE BLOCKED.”

The day after revealing her big news, O’Connor shared that she had been given her first hijab, writing that she wouldn’t be posting a photo because it’s “intensely personal,” before humorously adding that there was a second reason for her decision.

“I’m an ugly old hag,” she wrote. “But I’m a very, very, very happy old hag.”

Over the next couple of days, the Irish singer went on to share a number of photos of herself wearing a head covering, simply writing that she was “happy.”

O’Connor was ordained as a priest in 1999 in a dissident Roman Catholic group.

She has previously spoken out against the abuses of the Catholic Church, even ripping up a photo of Pope John Paul II during a Saturday Night Live appearance in 1992.

The singer has struggled with her mental health in recent years, yet said she was open about her issues in the hopes that it would inspire others sufferingto seek help.

Kim Kardashian Says Tristan Thompson Will ‘Never Change’ as He Cheats on Khloé on KUWTK

Sunday night’s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians took fans inside Tristan Thompson‘s cheating scandal — and revealed how Khloé Kardashian and her famous family reacted in real time.

When photos and videos surfaced of Thompson, 27, getting close to another woman just two days before Khloé, 34, welcomed their baby girl on April 12, the mom-to-be was nesting in Cleveland. As the news broke, cameras captured Kim, Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie all reacting separately back in Los Angeles, furiously texting one another about it.

“There’s video of Tristan making out with a girl last night,” said Kim, 38. “Khloé’s going to die. She’s literally going to go into labor over this.”

“I can’t even imagine being in Khloé’s shoes, just how reckless it all seems —this is really shocking and obviously heartbreaking,” added Kourtney, 39. “The whole thing makes me disgusted.”

“She kicked him out. He left the house,” revealed Kendall, 23. “We’re trying to get her to come home.”

It turns out that Kylie, 21, was the one to break the news to her sister.

“No one had the courage to tell Khloé because we knew she was days away from giving birth,” Kylie said. “We didn’t want to stress her out, but we knew that it was the right thing to do. So I’m the one that told Khloé. I didn’t want to hurt her feelings, but I felt like she should hear from one of us versus on the internet.”

Finally, Khloé called Kim crying, admitting that she wanted to fly back to Los Angeles but wasn’t sure if she could travel so late in her pregnancy.

“You just have to worry about yourself right now and be calm,” Kim said.

“I can’t be calm,” Khloé said. “Not right now.”

RELATED: Khloé Kardashian Says Reliving Tristan Thompson’s Cheating Scandal Is ‘Incredibly Difficult’

Kim admitted to feeling “helpless” over the situation as Khloé tried to figure out what she wanted to do.

“She’s confused, she doesn’t know what to do and we don’t really know what to do, but we want to be there for her,” Kim said. “Honestly, I’m in shock. We love Tristan. This is honestly nothing that we suspected. We thought she finally found her Prince Charming, happy ending. And then f—. It’s just, why her? It just really, really sucks.”

And Kim had been hearing about even more rumors of Thompson’s infidelity.

“Honestly, so many more stories are coming out,” she said. “So many friends are calling me with so many more things. I told her, ‘What are you going to get out of him? Think about it. You’re going to be worried and nervous and have an insecure life, because if he’s not faithful now, he’ll never change.’ ”

“When one thing comes out you’re kind of like, well, okay, maybe the video’s old or maybe it’s a misunderstanding. Because a picture doesn’t always tell the full story,” Kim added. “But then two more stories come out. This is just crazy. Now you know it’s true.”

But before Khloé could decide the future of her relationship with Thompson, she went into labor. As her mom and sisters made arrangements to get to Cleveland as soon as possible, Khloé asked that they remain civil when coming face-to-face with Thompson, at least in the delivery room.

“It’s like, everyone wants me to make a decision right this second and I just want to go and give birth and focus on that and try to enjoy this and try to enjoy it with him, as crazy as that sounds,” Khloé said. “I want to enjoy this with him. I don’t want any negativity in the delivery room. I don’t want anybody to talk about it, make me feel uncomfortable or make him feel uncomfortable. Let’s just act normal. Give me a minute.”

Kim agreed to remain cordial — but not without cracking a few jokes about how she would greet him.

“I’m going to look at him and just be like …,” she said, miming cutting her throat.

“I know how important it is for Khloé to have Tristan there, and I actually really respect that,” Kourtney said. “But it’s definitely going to be awkward. It’s going to be hard to even look at him or even be in the same room with him. It’s like, you are f—ing with all of us when you disrespect one of us.”

As PEOPLE previously reported, Khloé ultimately decided to stand by Thompson, and they spent the summer as a family, rebuilding their relationship in Los Angeles. In recent weeks, however, the couple hit another rough patch.

According to a source, the new mom has been having a “really tough” time and “still has a lot of hurt and anger.”

“Khloé wants so badly for True to have a happy family,” said the source. “She wants to do what’s best for her daughter, and to her that means being with Tristan.”

But Khloé’s mom and sisters “aren’t happy” about her move back to Cleveland and “think she deserves better,” the source said. “They definitely don’t trust him.”

What you should absolutely never do when visiting Germany

Have a German vacation planned sometime soon? It’s a beautiful country in Europe, and there are plenty of amazing sights to see. However, before you jet off across the world ready to test your foreign language skills, there are some things you ought to be aware of first. Germany has a strict set of rules that you must abide by if you want to avoid upsetting the locals, or much worse. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

Don’t wear shoes inside

Unless given explicit instructions, you should always ask whether someone wants you to take your shoes off when in there home. Most people in Germany don’t wear their shoes inside, so to go ahead and do it could be considered extremely rude. If you feel weird asking, remove them anyway when you go inside to be on the safe side. The last thing you want to is upset someone that’s invited you into their home.

Don’t waste recyclables

Did you know that you’ll be charged extra for buying drinks in bottles or cans when you’re in Germany? It’s part of the country’s initiative to encourage people to recycle and not waste the materials. You’re expected to return the bottles and cans to a shop, although they’re not fussy about which shop you chose. All establishments are required to accept your recyclable waste, whether or not they were the place you bought them from initially.

Don’t be late

One thing you can rarely accuse Germans of not being is punctual. They’re almost always on time, and they expect the same of anyone they’re meeting with. To show up late would be considered rude and a waste of someone else’s time. So, if you make any appointments during your German vacation, make sure that you show up to them on time.

Don’t address people incorrectly

Learning another country’s language is confusing, especially when they have an entirely different set of grammatical rules that you’re not used to. When it comes to greeting people in Germany, there are two different ways to do it. You can either say Sie or du, depending on how well you know the person. Sie is the more formal choice, so it’s what you’re expected to use in something like a business setting. Du, on the other hand, is reserved for more informal conversations. If you’re not sure which to use, you can always ask.

Don’t disturb the peace

If you’re a bit of a party animal at night, then you might struggle during your trip to Germany. The country has a set of laws which prevent you from making too much noise at certain times of the day. You can’t do things like play loud music or vacuum between 10 pm and 7 am, or the entirety of Sunday. That might sound pretty restrictive, but it stops residents from being disturbed at inappropriate times. If you don’t follow these rules, people can complain, and you’ll find yourself face to face with one of the public order officers. You didn’t go to Germany to get in trouble with the law, so try to keep it down at night.

very country is different, and you should never visit somewhere new without first checking what rules are in place. They might not always make sense to you, but it’s important to respect them when you’re abroad. After all, you don’t want to get arrested.

Megyn Kelly Is Cancelled. But She Never Should Have Had the Job in the First Place

In her 14 months as an NBC morning-show host—a role that has come to an abrupt end—Megyn Kelly found a number of ways to alienate viewers. She kicked off Megyn Kelly Today, last September, with an ill-considered joke about Will and Grace turning one of its fans gay and a question about plastic surgery that instigated a year-long feud with Jane Fonda. In January, she was forced to publicly apologize after appearing to endorse fat-shaming: “When I was in law school, I was gaining weight,” Kelly told fitness advocate Maria Kang. “I said to my stepfather, ‘If you see me going into that kitchen one more time, you say, “Where you going, fat ass?”’ And it works!” That same month, a fired staffer described a “toxic and demeaning” environment on the show. But Kelly dug a hole she couldn’t climb out of on Tuesday, questioning whether blackface Halloween costumes were actually racist.

“What is racist?” the host wondered aloud. “You do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface for Halloween, or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween. Back when I was a kid, that was OK just as long as you were dressing as a character.” The social media backlash was swift, with celebrities like W. Kamau Bell, Padma Lakshmi and Adam Rippon joining the fray. On Wednesday’s episode of Today, Al Roker pulled no punches in a statement about Kelly’s comments: “While she apologized to the staff, she owes a bigger apology to folks of color around the country,” he said. “This is a history going back to the 1830s minstrel shows, to demean and denigrate a race wasn’t right.” Soon after, Kelly apologized to viewers, but the damage was done. “Megyn Kelly Today is not returning,” an NBC News spokesperson announced in a statement on Friday. “Next week, the 9 a.m. hour will be hosted by other Today co-anchors.”

Who could have predicted such a debacle? Oh, just about anyone who was familiar with Kelly’s pre-NBC history. In 2010, as a Fox News host, her well-publicized obsession with the marginal New Black Panther Party was an early hint at her views on race. Months after launching her popular show The Kelly File, in 2013, she caused an uproar by insisting that Santa Claus and Jesus were both white. A few years later, she denounced a so-called “thug mentality” within black communities. The list of race-baiting moments goes on.

So, to many, the salient question today isn’t “How could this have happened?” so much as “How did Megyn Kelly get a $ 69 million deal with a broadcast network in the first place?” The answer says a lot about viewers’ short collective memory: Kelly got her first taste of bipartisan approval during the most recent presidential election cycle, when she grilled Donald Trump over his comments demeaning women. He hit back (remember “blood coming out of her wherever”?), and the more she stood her ground, the more liberals warmed up to her. Kelly underscored her potential appeal to mainstream audiences by speaking out about sexual harassment she endured at the hands of Fox News chief Roger Ailes. By 2016, she was a Vanity Fair cover star. The NBC deal followed early the next year, with the short-lived Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly debuting in June 2017.

Megyn Kelly Today was plan b for the network’s new investment. Although its ratings never compared with those of its predecessor—an hour of Today hosted by Kelly’s reportedly lower-paid colleagues of color, Roker and Tamron Hall—the birth of the #MeToo movement last October gave Kelly a purpose that she clearly wasn’t finding in segments on parenting, cooking and celebrity gossip. She found her niche in championing women, famous and not, who came forward to accuse powerful men of sexual misconduct, and grounding her anger on their behalf in her own experiences at Fox News. For a TV personality who’d effectively erased past controversies by standing up to sexist men, these emotional interviews were the equivalent of playing her hits.

Kelly stepped back into the role of maverick feminist—never mind that her record had always been spotty on women’s issues that did not speak directly to Megyn Kelly. (She has cast aspersions on the equal pay movement, defended demonstrably false anti-abortion propaganda and told campus sexual assault activists to “toughen up, buttercup.”) The same girl-power veneer that kept her supporters in the mainstream media from reckoning with the Fox News version of Kelly in 2016 once again obscured the less savory aspects of her personality. Until it didn’t.

It wouldn’t have taken an investigative reporter to uncover all the reasons why she was the wrong choice for NBC, a broadcaster that presumably had no intention of spending a fortune on a host who would end up offending and alienating a substantial portion of its diverse audience. But the cost of the network’s myopia isn’t just monetary. In failing to weigh the risks of hiring someone like Megyn Kelly, NBC has also lost something priceless: viewers’ trust.

Miryam is 23, but every morning before she leaves for work she may as well be 16. If she wears a dress or skirt, she pauses to make sure her dress passes “the fingertip rule”—meaning the hem falls below her arms, when placed at her side.

“When I try on a dress or skirt, I put my arms down to see if it’s short or not,” Miryam said. “It won’t stop me from buying it, but it will inform what sort of circumstances I wear it in. The other day at work, I wore a skirt that just made a cut for the rule, and I felt really weird about it.”

For women like Miryam, teenage dress codes influence outfits worn well after their first legal drink.

Never Town – A Patagonia Surf Film On Tour Now Photo

Patagonia Press Release

Part surf film, part conservation film, Never Town takes a journey along some wild coastlines and talks with the people fighting to keep them wild. Filmed along the Southern Ocean coasts of Australia, it’s an exploration of what these places mean to surfers… and what surfers are willing to do to save them. As surfing elder Wayne Lynch says, “We mythologised these places. We lose them and we lose ourselves.”

Never Town spans Australia’s vibrant southern fringe from the dusty edge of South Australia to the deep forests of Victoria and Tasmania. It features the surfing of Dave Rastovich, Dan Ross, Belinda Baggs and Heath Joske, set alongside conversations with coastal activists who are standing up against deepwater oil drilling and industrial fish farms.

Midnight Oil, Yirrnga Yunupingu, Ziggy Alberts and Bad Dreems provide a distinctly Australian soundtrack. With coastlines around the world under pressure like never before from growing populations, rampant development and exploitation from resource companies, Never Town is a rallying call for surfers and local communities to stand together to protect the wild spaces around them.

5 Anime Fights That Fans Will Never Forget

Whether it’s due to the art style or the action, fans love a good anime fight. But the high stakes, massive powerups, and showstopper moves aren’t the only reasons fans are interested. The best of these unforgettable clashes add substance to their shows as well by furthering character development and creating new storylines. So, here are the five anime fights that we’ll never forget.

Goku vs. Frieza (Dragon Ball Z)

best anime fights Goku vs. Frieza from Dragon Ball Z

A list of the best animes fights wouldn’t be complete without one of the longest and most iconic battles in the Dragon Ball franchise. Taking place during the Frieza Saga, the battle between the main character, Goku, and the tyrant Frieza lasted a whopping 20 episodes. Each blow makes it clear the two adversaries match each other in both strength and power. Even Goku’s most powerful attack, the Large Spirit Bomb, fails to destroy Frieza.

It’s only after Frieza plays a dirty trick, taking advantage of a distraction to deal a deadly blow, when the gloves come off. Unfortunately, Frieza’s target isn’t Goku, but his best friend, Krillin. Watching his best friend die before his eyes causes an enraged Goku to tap into his inner power reserves, turning him into a golden-haired Super Saiyan for the first time in the series.

With some clever taunting, the Super Saiyan convinces Frieza to use 100% of his power. And while it seems that Frieza still outmatches Goku, the tyrant soon learns the Saiyan was holding back all along. Using an Angry Kamehameha, Goku defeats Frieza, bringing one of the best fights in anime to a close. But it wasn’t just Goku’s triumphant victory that got fans hype, it was realizing his true hero potential.

Kakashi Hatake vs. Obito Uchiha (Naruto: Shippūden)

best anime fights Kakashi vs. Obito from Naruto: Shippuden

One of the most epic fights in Naruto: Shippūden is Kakashi Hatake vs. Obito Uchiha. It sticks with fans, not because of the battle’s extraordinary moves or incredible graphics, but for its simplicity. Here you have two former teammates giving their all. While they both use jutsu at the beginning, the majority of their fight boils down to taijutsu, or hand-to-hand combat. And unlike many other battles in Naruto or the other anime on this list, it doesn’t waste any time getting to the action.

The battle takes place in Kamui’s Dimension, an alternate space created by Obito. However, the real conflict started years ago when they were children. During the battle, flashbacks to the two men sparring as children are intercut with their battle in the present. The technique highlights their respective journeys and how much their skills have grown over time.

The visual contrast between the colorful landscape of the past and dark, cube-filled one in the present further serve to illustrate this point. Despite this noticeable shift in tone, we never lose momentum during this symbolic battle with the past and their inner demons.

The well-choreographed fight scene, although short, shows the real talent of both these men. Even as kids, they were formidable sparring opponents, and in Obito’s case, it’s the beginning of learning who he could’ve been had he chosen the right path.

Saitama vs. Boros (One-Punch Man)

best anime fights Saitama vs. Boros from One-Punch Man

During the final episode of One-Punch Man, our hero Saitama finally gets to face Boros, the leader of a group of alien invaders. Disgusted by Boros’ egotistical reason (to find a worthy opponent) for destroying A-city, Saitama throws a swift punch at him.

As the two trade blows Saitama manages to destroy Boros’ arm, which infuriates the alien. Boros grabs our hero, throws him around like a rag doll, and then gloats about how strong he is. But he soon comes to regret bragging prematurely.

When a powerful punch sends One-Punch Man to the moon, it looks like he will finally lose. But this is Saitama we’re talking about. At the very last second, he drops a bombshell: He’d been playing with Boros the whole time.

With a single punch, Saitama sends Boros flying back to Earth. But his attack doesn’t end there. He hits Boros with a barrage of punches and finishes him off with his final move — Killer Move: Serious Series, Serious Punch.

Despite the show being about an unbeatable hero, this fight still manages to fill viewers with suspense, as many believed that Saitama had finally met his match. Fortunately, this fight didn’t end One-Punch Man’s quest, which will continue in Season 2 in 2019.

Izuku Midoriya vs. Shoto Todoroki (My Hero Academia)

best anime fights Izuku Midoriya vs. Shoto Todoroki from My Hero Academia

During the U.A. Sports Festival’s fighting tournament, we not only get a glimpse of Izuku Midoriya’s power but also learn more about Shoto Todoroki‘s past and why he doesn’t use his pyrokinesis.

After breaking all his fingers on his right hand and his leg, Izuku realizes Shoto isn’t just a kid with a powerful Quirk, Half-Cold Half-Hot. His judgment, mobility, and reasoning also make him a tough opponent to overcome. But there’s another problem: Shoto only uses the cryokinesis part of his Quirk, as pyrokinesis reminds him of the abuse he suffered at the hands of his hero father Endeavor.

Irritated by this, Izuku headbutts Shoto in the chest and demands he gives it his all. Even though Izuku, being born Quirkless, can’t relate to Shoto’s hesitance to use his fire abilities, he still offers him words of encouragement. But he also doesn’t back down, telling Shoto that he has no right to be the best if he won’t use his full power.

Izuku’s words trigger memories of Shoto’s mother burning his face and another of her telling him to be the kind of hero that he wants to be. Motivated by Izuku and his mother’s words, Shoto finally unleashes his flames and the real fight begins — which ends up destroying the stadium. Despite the damage caused and Izuku’s defeat, we got to see that it takes more than a powerful Quirk to be a hero. Encouraging others to do their best and finding the courage to face yourself is what’s truly important.

Rock Lee vs. Gaara (Naruto)

best anime fights Rock Lee vs. Gaara from Naruto: Shippuden

The fight between Rock Lee and Gaara does two things: it tells a story and also changes your perception of a character. In one corner, there’s the Lee, who can only use taijutsu and appears to be nothing more than comic relief in Naruto. In the other corner, you have Gaara, whose skills and villainy strike fear into the heart of his adversaries.

So, when the time comes for the two to face off, everyone assumes Lee will be afraid of Gaara. But in actuality, Lee couldn’t be more excited. During the fight, Lee finds he can’t break through Gaara’s sand defense. That is until he removes his training weights and reveals how fast he really is without them.

With lighting speed, Lee manages to land several punches, proving with each blow that he’s not a joke but a real threat and a skilled shinobi. By unlocking several of the Eight Gates, Lee’s able to surpass his limits. However, Gaara gains the upper hand when Lee’s body shows signs of being unable to handle the pressure. Still, Lee somehow finds the strength to continue and renders Gaara unconscious with his Reverse Lotus attack.

Unfortunately, his attack isn’t enough, as Gaara manages to break Lee’s limbs, which knocks him out. It’s then that something amazing happens — Lee’s unconscious body stands on its own. Even when victory is hopeless, his fighting spirit keeps him going. Gaara ultimately wins the fight, but Rock Lee does him one better and wins the heart of Naruto‘s fans.

The Stanley Cup started Alex Ovechkin’s summer of joy. It might never end.

“It looks like he’s in the best mode ever,” Nicklas Backstrom said. “He’s just laughing all the time, which is great. He’s going to carry this over, I think. The way he was playing last year and the way he was relaxed, too, I think it’s just unbelievable for us in the locker room to see — how he carries himself.”
