Denim Première Vision Travels to London and Aims to Be More International

LONDON — Denim Première Vision is looking outward and repositioning itself on an international scale: For the first time in 11 years, the denim trade show was held outside Paris as part of a new strategy that will see the show land in a variety of locations.
London was the first stop in the fair’s “roving denim” strategy, which will see the exhibition touch down in markets with mature fashion industries. The two-day event wraps up Thursday at the Old Truman Brewery in Shoreditch.
For Guglielmo Olearo, chief executive officer of Première Vision, London offers a hotbed of creativity and contemporary fashion while also being an “unexplored market for denim. Our new positioning is very contemporary, fashionable and sustainable, and from what I can see so far, London touches on all these points,” Olearo said.
This year’s exhibition hosted 89 companies, ranging from weavers to garment manufacturers to technology developers. Olearo said these exhibitors were chosen to fit the year’s four themes: Discover, Care & Share, Performance and Personalization. According to Première Vision’s fashion director, Pascaline Wilhelm, personalization is the DNA of denim.
According to Wilhelm, trends are stemming from product innovation and comfort. “People don’t want to be constrained with garments, the need for freedom is

‘Legacies’ Premiere Recap: Hope Seeks Revenge Years After Klaus’ Death

Hope Mikaelson returned with a vengeance in the Thursday, October 25, series premiere of Legacies, a spinoff of The Vampire Diaries and The Originals.

Like Father, Like Daughter

Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) seemed pretty well adjusted for a teenager whose parents, Klaus Mikaelson and Hayley Marshall, both died before she graduated high school, much like Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev). Confident in her powers, Hope teamed up with Alaric (Matt Davis) to save a young werewolf named Rafael (Peyton Alex Smith) from an attempted exorcism. There, she ran into Landon (Aria Shahghasemi), the former Mystic Falls resident she had a crush on before he moved away.

Hope, headmaster Alaric, Landon and Rafael traveled to Salvatore Boarding School in Mystic Falls after the rescue. Hope and Alaric filled Landon in on the magical goings-on at the school with the intention of getting information about Rafael, his foster brother, and then compelling him to forget. When compulsion didn’t work, Alaric locked Landon in the cellar until what he assumed was vervain passed through his system. In the meantime, Rafael broke him out, and Landon bonded with Hope over her losses and her unwillingness to make friends or get close to anyone because of her past. The two even kissed.

The next morning, Landon asked Alaric if he could stay at the school since he had no home, but the headmaster denied his request. So Landon pretended the compulsion worked (Alaric noted that since it didn’t, Landon must be a supernatural being), stole a magical knife and left.

Alaric, thinking Landon was going to tell the world about the school, alerted Hope, but she was in denial. As she tracked Landon using dark magic, the knife began glowing. Alaric and Hope — with some help from Sheriff Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig) — later discovered the bus Landon was traveling on and everyone else on it was incinerated, while Hope vowed to be the villain of Landon’s story since he turned out to not be the hero of hers.

Where in the World Is Caroline Forbes?

Caroline (Candice King), who ran Salvatore Boarding School alongside Alaric on The Originals, was not seen or mentioned during the premiere. However, the pair’s daughters, Josie (Kaylee Bryant) and Lizzie (Jenny Boyd), were front and center and both somewhat disturbed.

Josie was nursing a broken heart over her ex Penelope (Lulu Antariksa). She lashed out after she caught Penelope kissing her friend MG (Quincy Fouse). Josie later seemed to set her sights on Rafael.

Meanwhile, Lizzie, who believed herself to be broken, also took an interest in Rafael and destroyed the school kitchen with magical fury when he rejected her. She also complained about all the time her father spent training Hope one-on-one.

Legacies airs on The CW Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET.

Naomi Osaka won the U.S. Open against Serena Williams recently and appeared on several talk shows after to discuss the big win. When she went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Osaka was asked about her celebrity crush. She admitted that she liked Michael B Jordan and right there Ellen texted him to possibly hook them up.

Osaka sat there blushing and couldn’t believe what was happening. The Jasmine Brand reports that Ellen decided to take things to another level when she wished Osaka a happy birthday this week. Attached to the birthday tweet was a photo of Jordan without his shirt on. Osaka tweeted back that she wanted Ellen to block her, but then Jordan tweeted something very special to Osaka.

He sent a newer photo with no shirt on and said, “This one is better and more recent. LOL Happy Belated Bday Naomi. But seriously I want to invite you to the Creed 2 premiere as a bday present.” We haven’t heard if Osaka is going or not, but if she doesn’t want to accept the invitation we know plenty of people that will take her place.

Jennifer Lawrence Shows Up At Ex-Boyfriend Nicholas Hoult’s Movie Premiere With Her New Man!

The actress likes to remain friendly with all of her former partners. As a result, there was no problem for Jennifer Lawrence to show up at ex Nicholas Hoult’s new film’s premiere alongside her new boyfriend, Cooke Maroney.

The pair looked great as they went to watch the first screening of The Favourite which stars her X-Men co-star and former beau.

As for her fashion, Lawrence wore a long black dress and accessorized with a thick gold choker.

Her boyfriend looked great too, in a classic black suit.

Furthermore, another ex was at the premiere which would have been even more awkward if we were not talking about Jennifer Lawrence!

Director Darren Aronofsky is the man Jennifer dated for almost a year after connecting on the set of the movie Mother! and he was in attendance.

After they split, the actress stopped by Marc Maron’s WTF podcast back in February and she opened up about how she usually stays friends with her exes.

‘I’m friends with all my exes, actually. For the most part. I have a theory: I think it is because I am blunt. I do not think you can have any sort of bad relationship with anyone if you are just blunt. Everyone always knows how you feel at all times and there is no lying, it is just honesty. Everybody is a good guy to each other. All of my boyfriends have been wonderful. Nick [Hoult] was a great boyfriend,’ she told the host.

She and Hoult were together for four years before putting an end to their relationship in 2014.

Sure enough, they are on good terms and they even worked together on the upcoming movie X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

In fact, one shared scene was featured in the latest trailer and it was super emotional.
