A new mid-range tablet is coming from Samsung in the first quarter of 2019

Samsung Galaxy A tablet

2019 is already shaping up to be a busy year for Samsung, which has a slew of hardware releases teed up that includes everything from new flagship phones to foldable devices — and, according to a new report, an expansion of its mid-range tablet lineup.

A new Samsung Galaxy Tab A model has apparently been under development and could be coming pretty early in the first quarter. Per 91Mobiles, the tablet will start out with 32GB as the base storage option, it will include black and grey color options, and we could see a launch at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona or also possibly at the rumored February 20th event during which Samsung is expected to unveil its Galaxy S10 series.

Destination XL Cuts Losses in Quarter as CEO Search Continues

The corporate restructuring instituted earlier this year is starting to pay off for Destination XL Group.
In the third quarter, the men’s big & tall retailer cut its losses and improved its comparable-store sales, prompting it to update its earnings guidance for the fiscal year. But its search for a new chief executive officer continues as the countdown to the departure of current chief David Levin approaches on Dec. 31. In the case that the retailer can’t find a replacement by year-end, Levin will transition to acting ceo from Jan. 1-April 30 for $ 200,000 a month.
The retailer said that it terminated its deal with Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. to lead the search process on Oct. 1 and is now working with Russell Reynolds Associates to lead the process and expects a successor to be named by the end of the first quarter of fiscal 2019.
As reported, Levin is expected to resign as an officer and director of the company on Jan. 1. The company expects to incur an aggregate charge of approximately $ 2.1 million for ceo transition costs in fiscal 2018 and an additional $ 1.6 million in fiscal 2019 and fiscal 2020.
Turning to the third quarter, the retailer cut its

Beto O’Rourke Raises $38 Million in Third Quarter, Biggest Haul for Senate Candidate Ever

Gary Miller

Rep. Beto O’Rourke, the El Paso Democrat challenging incumbent Republican Sen. Ted Cruz had the single largest fundraising quarter in a Senate race ever, his campaign said Friday.

O’Rourke raised more than $ 38 million in the third quarter of 2018 from 802,836 individual contributions. Not only did the haul break previous records for Senate candidates, it also outpaced previous quarters where he raised more money than Cruz.

“The people of Texas in all 254 counties are proving that when we reject PACs and come together not as Republicans or Democrats but as Texans and Americans, there’s no stopping us,” O’Rourke said in a statement. “This is a historic campaign of people: all people, all the time, everywhere, every single day — that’s how we’re going to win this election and do something incredible for Texas and our country at this critical moment.”

Tesla outsold Mercedes-Benz in the US last quarter and might actually turn a profit before 2019

Model 3

Despite all of the drama surrounding Elon Musk’s tussle with the SEC, and despite Tesla’s early troubles ramping up Model 3 production, the company has slowly but steadily improved production across its entire vehicular lineup. During the recent September quarter, for example, Tesla said that it manufactured 80,142 vehicles and delivered 83,500 vehicles to customers. Speaking to how fast Tesla is growing, the company earlier this month explained: “We delivered more than 80% of the vehicles that we delivered in all of 2017, and we delivered about twice as many Model 3s as we did in all previous quarters combined.”

Demand has never been much of a problem for Tesla, and now it appears that the electric automaker is finally getting a firmer handle on supply. In fact, a new report from Atherton Research relays that Tesla during the recent third quarter outsold Mercedes-Benz in the U.S. for the first time in history. What’s more, the report adds that Tesla was just 2,000 vehicles away from outselling BMW.
