10 ‘Drag Race’ Queens We Need To See On ‘All Stars 4’

We’re one week away from crowning the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 10. But after getting two seasons back-to-back, we’re about to go through some major Drag Race withdrawals. The best cure for our post-Ru blues, though, is to simply look to the future in anticipation and excitement. And what better way than to predict which queens will bless our screens when they return for All Stars 4.

We’re naturally hoping the fourth season of the fan-favorite franchise is a little more All Stars 2 (one of the best seasons of Drag Race of all time) and a little less All Stars 3 (#JusticeForShangela). So we’ve taken the liberty of combining a list of the 10 queens we need to see enter the workroom doors once more in order to make it the best All Stars season yet. (Editor’s Note: Miss Vanjie must return for Season 11, so the iconic queen will not appear on this list. But she’s always walking backward through our hearts.)

Kim Chi

Kim Chi

Season: 8 (Runner-Up)
Reason: Kim Chi may not have been the best dancer or actress — in fact, she could barely walk in heels — but the Korean queen made it all the way to the finale anyway. And that’s because she turned out some of the best looks that the show has ever seen. Kim also has a great sense of humor, which popped up a few times during Season 8, but has since found a place to truly shine on social media. Her unique looks and loveable personality already make her worthy of a crown, and if she has improved in other areas, she could truly chop suey the competition once and for all.
Chances of Appearing: High. She’s popular in the Drag Race fandom and has no reason to turn down the higher booking fees that come with an All Stars appearance.

Latrice Royale

Latrice Royale

Season: 4 (4th Place/Miss Congeniality), All Stars (7th/8th)
Reason: This is a dark thought, but there’s a chance that newer members of the Drag Race fandom don’t know who Latrice is, and that is not the kind of world I want to live in. Latrice is one of the most beloved queens in the history of the series, and she has the title of Miss Congeniality to prove it. But at this point, Season 4 was over six years ago and her appearance on the original All Stars was cut far too short. The children need to know the magic of the large and in charge, chunky yet funky queen and she deserves to appear in a season of All Stars that doesn’t pair the queens up for the entire season.
Chances of Appearing: Low. Sadly, producers are likely to cast queens who never appeared on an All Stars. But if Season 1 winner Bebe Zahara Benet can return, surely we can recycle an All Stars Season 1 queen as well.

Miz Cracker

Miz Cracker on 'Drag Race'

Season: 10 (5th Place)
Reason: A huge fan favorite throughout Season 10, fans were less than pleased when Miz Cracker was forced to sashay away right before making it into the final four. But the second she was eliminated, viewers eased their broken hearts by campaigning for her to appear on the next iteration of All Stars. The Jewish Barbie on bath salts seemed like a frontrunner from day one of Season 10, but her penchant for overthinking eventually got her into trouble. If she’s learned from her mistakes after watching herself on the show, she’s easily a contender for the crown.
Chances of Appearing: High. If Season 10 is included in the next round of All Stars, then Cracker needs to be a part of it.

Season: 1 (5th Place)
Reason: There seems to be at least one queen from the early years of Drag Race on every season of All Stars, and Ongina is the contestant that fans have been calling for. The Filipino queen made history when she came out as HIV-positive in an emotional episode of Season 1, but her talent extends far beyond her diagnosis. Ongina is known for her fashionable looks and for being the first queen to walk the runway without a wig. (Sorry, Sasha.) It’s time for new fans of the series to get to know the beloved bald queen.
Chances of Appearing: High. If they continue to include an OG queen on All Stars, they should give the fans they one they’ve been asking for.

Gia Gunn

Gia Gunn

Season: 6 (10th Place)
Reason: When Gia Gunn hopped off the boat like fresh tilapia and entered the competition on Season 6, Drag Race was never the same. The queen’s hilarious catchphrases (both intentional and unintentional) were a hilarious addition to the workroom. But after exiting the show, Gia came out as trans and has since been an ambassador for the transgender community. It would be fantastic to see her compete again, to get those hilarious one-liners while seeing how she’s grown both as a drag queen and as a woman.
Chances of Appearing: Low. While her time on Drag Race was nothing short of iconic, her early exit may mean she’ll have to wait until at least All Stars 5 or 6 to shine again.

Drag Race Season 9 Valentina mask

Season: 9 (7th Place)
Reason: As one of the most polarizing queens in Drag Race history, Valentina is the type of contestant that All Stars was made for. After instantly becoming a frontrunner in Season 9 for her gorgeous looks and mesmerizing smile, Valentina fell from grace when she infamously wore a mask during a lip sync for her life. She didn’t know the words to the song and the moment was one of the most shocking in Drag Race history. Following her elimination, rumors swirled that Val was a diva at events and was rude to her fellow cast members. It may have been an epic fall from grace, but she still has a giant fanbase, so a return to the competition could be the perfect way to solidify her image, one way or the other.
Chances of Appearing: High. This is a no-brainer. The controversial queen must return.

Adore Delano

rupaul drag race adore delano

Season: 6 (Runner-Up), All Stars 2 (9th/Quit)
Reason: Adore is one of the most popular contestants in all of Drag Race history, not to mention one of the most successful. (The party queen is one of the best-selling recording artists to come out of the show.) So, naturally, fans were devastated when Adore quit All Stars 2 in the second episode, unable to handle the pressure of harsh critiques. During the reunion, Adore explained that she was going through a hard time in her personal life and wasn’t mentally strong enough to deal with the competition again. RuPaul gave her an open invitation to return though, and fans are desperately hoping she takes it.
Chances of Appearing: Unclear. Producers would surely love to have her back, but does she feel ready to walk into the workroom once more?

Jasmine Masters

Jasmine Masters

Season: 7 (12th Place)
Reason: Jasmine Masters struggled during her original run on Season 7 of Drag Race and also faced horrific racist abuse on Twitter while the show was airing. While most people were quick to write her off, she has since gained a huge fanbase on social media thanks to becoming a meme queen and hosting hilarious rants on Instagram Live. It would be great to see her in the competition again now that fans realize how funny she is, and perhaps she could enter with a more positive attitude (making her more willing to throw on a beard, if that’s what RuPaul asks).
Chances of Appearing: Low. Seeing as Jasmine released a video in 2016 announcing that RuPaul’s Drag Race has f–ked up drag,” it’s not very likely that producers are dying to have her back.

Shea Couleé

Shea Coulee

Season: 9 (3rd/4th)
Reason: Drag Race fans love to declare that a queen was robbed, and they shouted it from the rooftops when Shea didn’t become the winner of Season 9. The Chicago queen won a whopping four challenges throughout her time on the show, the highest of any queen on her season, but fell victim to the revamped finale format which found the final four lip syncing for the crown. Queens return to All Stars to get their redemption and Shea definitely deserves a second shot at taking the title
Chances of Appearing: High. She didn’t want to appear on All Stars 3 because it filmed only months after Season 9 aired, but now that she’s had some time to process things, she’s a likely bet to return.

Monique Heart

RuPaul's Drag Race Season 10 Monique Heart

Season: 10 (8th Place)
Reason: Facts are facts, America, and the fact is we need more Monique Heart in our lives. The ooh-ahh-ahh sensation lit up the screen in Season 10 with her larger-than-life personality and hilarious quotable moments. And, frankly, she never got the respect from the judges that she deserved. The card dress from the first episode definitely should have been more than safe, and Monique struggled to get in the good graces of the judges ever since. She deserved a main challenge win and we deserve to hear more of her amazing quips and confessionals.
Chances of Appearing: Unclear. While queens who placed higher in Season 10 are more likely to get a shot at All Stars first, RuPaul admitted on her podcast that she didn’t realize how funny the queen was until watching the show back. Even Ru thinks Monique deserves another chance, so let’s make it happen.

Meghan’s Trooping the Colour Parade Debut! Royals Celebrate the Queen’s 92nd Birthday

Cheers to another year! Queen Elizabeth II officially celebrated her birthday with a festive parade known as Trooping the Colour on Saturday, June 9.

The monarch, who turned 92 in April, was joined by many members of the royal family, including Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan (née Markle), hot off the heels from their honeymoon to East Africa. Also in attendance were Duchess Kate, Prince William, and two of their three children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Their two-month-old son, Prince Louis, stayed behind.

The royal family gazed on as the 1st Battalion The Coldstream Guards trooped in the queen’s honor. Following the ceremony, the British ruler was escorted back to Buckingham Palace via a carriage ride, where she and the family met up on the balcony to watch a Royal Air Force display. Queen Elizabeth rode solo as Prince Phillip was absent from this year’s event. The Duke of Edinburgh retired from public duties last August and has been dealing with health issues this year.

In total, more than 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians participated in the annual parade.

Trooping the Colour marks the first regal event that Meghan, 36, and Harry, 33, have been seen together at in nearly two weeks. Four days after their May 19 nuptials, the couple made their first official appearance as husband and wife at a Buckingham Palace event in Prince Charles’ honor.

Harry stepped out solo for a post-honeymoon workout in photos exclusively published by Us Weekly on Thursday, June 7, in London. “Harry is leaner than ever,” a source told Us Weekly in April, noting that he and Meghan are “both in the best shape of their lives” one month before they exchanged vows.

People Thought Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Were Ridiculously Cute in Matching Outfits for the Queen’s Birthday

Prince Harry and bride-to-be Meghan Markle were matching in navy blue at Queen Elizabeth’s star-studded birthday concert Saturday night — and people on social media took notice.

Markle wore a navy Stella McCartney caped dress with matching navy suede heels by Manolo Blahnik and carried a clutch by Naeem Khan. Prince Harry wore a smart navy blue suit. The two stepped out together for this event a little more than a month out from the royal wedding on May 19.

Queen Elizabeth, who turned 92 on Saturday, wore gold to her celebration at Royal Albert Hall.

The event was attended by most of the royal family — with one exception being Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, who is expecting her third child on Monday — and members of the public who could snag a ticket. (For those who couldn’t, the concert was broadcast live on BBC One and BBC Radio 2.)

The lineup fit for Her Majesty included Sting and Shaggy (who recently released an album together), Kylie Minogue, Sir Tom Jones, Shawn Mendes, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, the BBC Concert Orchestra, and more.

The event concluded with Queen Elizabeth acknowledging the crowd with a wave, but not before she gave a coy smile (and maybe an eye roll?) during a speech made by her son Prince Charles after he addressed her as “Your Majesty” and then “Mummy.”

‘Drag Race All Stars’: Chad and Alaska Return for Revenge but with Only 3 Queens

This week’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race went off with very few surprises. That is until Mama Ru summoned Chad and Alaska to return in their handmaid costumes in preparation to reveal the season’s big twist.

Just before the return of the past All Stars winners, it was Bebe Zahara Bonet and Trixie Mattel lip syncing for their legacy in the Top 2 — wins that both of them desperately needed.

Trixie was supposed to be the frontrunner heading into the season but remained safe every episode so far until last week when she was nearly eliminated. (Trixie fans are still recovering from Shangela’s fakeout last week though, so we won’t dwell on it!)

Meanwhile, Bebe returned to the workroom to compete after winning the first ever season of Drag Race, so she had a lot to prove in order to not jeopardize her legacy. But after failing to deliver anything special or memorable week after week, she really needed a win to prove she deserved to be here.

So after an Andy Warhol-inspired runway in which our queens had to both make their own Studio 54 costume and decorate a giant can of soup, Trixie and Bebe finally landed on top. And it was Aja and Shangela (fresh off a win the week before), who faced elimination.

Bebe won the lip sync and sent Aja home. And, despite getting a huge redemption after doing poorly in Season 9, it certainly seemed more reasonable than getting rid of Shangela. The Hallelloo queen has been killing it this season and already has two wins under her belt — no easy feat with BenDeLaCreme around!

Aja actually helped Bebe sew her dress, so to then be sent home by her has got to sting. But there was no time for tears because, after teases left us waiting in anticipation all season long, RuPaul finally called Chad and Alaska back to the stage.

The OG All Stars have been stalking our contestants in their Handmaid’s Tale outfits all season long and have finally been called upon to reveal the twist they have up their long red sleeves.

When Ru asks the queens how many of her eliminated girls they were able to capture, three queens returned to the stage. And while their faces were covered by their bonnets, we’re led to believe that these are previously eliminated contestants who have returned for their revenge.

But the gag is, there were only three queens on stage, but it’s actually five who have gone home. So who wasn’t invited back? And what does it all mean?

Previews for next week showed Ru declaring that they were here for their revenge, but are they actually coming to compete? Or are they just here to shake things up by somehow throwing a wrench into the competition?

And what about the widely spread rumor that Bebe is a mole? Many people thought she may have been spying on the other contestants for Ru this whole time and would join the eliminated queens in helping to vote off one of the contestants. But Bebe’s win tonight would feel like a waste if she wasn’t really playing the game (Trixie could have had that!) and the reveal likely would have happened as this week’s cliffhanger.

Instead, we’re left with more questions than answers heading into next week, but it’s exciting to know we’ll finally find out the big shocker of the season.

And while you super sleuths put on your detective caps to try to figure out what Chad and Alaska are up to, don’t forget that the Season 10 queens were also announced at the end of the All Stars episode. Head here to read our break down of the upcoming cast and then head to Twitter to let us know what you think next week’s big All Stars twist will be.

Meghan Markle just broke one of the Queen’s royal fashion rules

But all for a very good reason…

Meghan Markle

A Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wedding is fast-approaching, with Kensington Palace announcing that the couple are set to wed at Windsor Castle in May 2018.

With the royal couple’s nuptials in sight, many have been wondering what we can expect on the big day – from potential celebrity guests to Prince Harry’s choice of best man – spoiler alert – it might not be Prince William.

One of the main questions however is who will be Meghan Markle’s wedding dress designer, with the actress’ most recent photos adding fuel to the fire.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released their official engagement portraits yesterday, and the 36-year-old Suits actress surprised us all by breaking one of the Queen’s royal fashion rules, opting to wear a sheer dress by Ralph & Russo.

With this in mind people are starting to wonder whether the Canadian actress’ wedding dress may be more risqué than your average royal.

The modern look has certainly gone down well with the public, with Kensington Palace tweeting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s response to their photo reception.

‘The couple are so grateful for the warm and generous messages they have received during such a happy time in their lives,’ the palace tweeted before adding, ‘As a way to say thank you, they have decided to share this candid photograph from the day of their portrait sittings directly with all of you.’

We cannot get enough of these two.

EBONY’s HBCU Campus Queens Have a Magical Time at Disney World

Presenting the 2017 EBONY HBCU Campus Queens…

For several decades, EBONY has celebrated Black collegiate women who attend historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) through its highly sought-after editorial and photo content series, “Campus Queens.”

This year, EBONY collaborated with Walt Disney World Resort to bring the HBCU Campus Queens franchise to life in a unique and epic way. For three days, our Top 10 Queens—chosen via online and text-to-vote campaigns—embarked on a one-of-a-kind experience throughout the wonderful world of Disney.

From intimate experiences at Disney Animal Kingdom’s newest land, Pandora: The World of Avatar, to  cameo appearances in the colorful energetic Carnavale street party to fun on the signature attractions at Magic Kingdom, “the Queens” (as they are affectionately referred to) were treated to a royal experience. If this weren’t enough, the Queens were also specially invited by the official Grand Marshals for Magic Kingdom’s daily Festival of Fantasy parade–a dream come true!

But why come to a magical place like Disney World and not take advantage of your very own photo shoot? These are royal gals, after all. Throughout their visit, the Queens were photographed at beloved sites within the Disney parks, which provided backdrops that were nothing short of spectacular.

But this experience was so much more than fun and games. Thanks to Disney World, our majesties spent an action-packed day promoting empowerment in celebration of some very lucky young girls, ages 6 to 15. The little ladies, aka “princesses,” were showered with royal treatments during EBONY’s first Tea with the Queens event at Disney World.

Our 20 princesses, joined by their moms and guardians, were treated to beauty preps, inspirational mentoring, scrapbooking and a traditional tea and lunch with the HBCU Queens, a day fit for all the royalty permeating the walls in a decorative ballroom at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. The icing on the cake was a special guest appearance by Miss America 2004, Ericka Dunlap, a native of the city of Orlando, who moderated the tea. But the piece de resistance was a “surprise and delight” visit by Disney Princess Tiana! Thank you to our Disney family for a truly magical weekend, and for an experience our Queens and princesses will not soon forget! Learn more about EBONY’s HBCU Campus Queens here.

Another Royal Retirement! The Queen’s Favorite Carriage Horse, Daniel, Hangs Up His Saddle

Prince Philip isn’t the only member of Queen Elizabeth‘s royal household who retired this week.

Her favorite carriage horse, Daniel, is also trotting off into the sunset following a fruitful career after 15 years of drawing Her Majesty’s carriages.

It was a fitting job for the white horse, as he’s pretty majestic-looking himself. A “Windsor Grey,” Daniel, is set to retire at 22 after his service in the Royal Mews.

As the Queen’s favorite, he’s been present at a number of official occasions, like the State Opening of Parliament, Trooping the Colour and the Garter Day procession. Daniel also was the lead horse on the carriage that carried Prince William and Princess Kate through the streets of London after their wedding at Westminster Abbey.

The Queen loves him so much that she had a life-sized bronze Daniel statue made in homage to the animal.

Now, Daniel is set to spend his days rolling around in the grass at a Home of Rest for horses.

“He’s a handsome boy — but he knows he’s a looker,” Jeanette Allen, CEO of the Horse Trust, the organization that runs Daniel’s future home. “You could see that from the way he carried the Duke and Duchess to their wedding. Greys normally love mud but it took him days to roll in a puddle after he arrived here. He’s very refined.”

Refined? No wonder he was the Queen’s favorite!

Friend Reveals the Queen’s Secret ‘Sad Discussion’ About Diana’s Stress During Marriage Woes: ‘She Was So Worried’

A friend of Princess Diana‘s  revealed in a new documentary that Queen Elizabeth was concerned about her wellbeing as reports of her sadness began to circulate during the dissolution of her marriage to Prince Charles.

In an interview for ITV’s Our Mother Diana: Her Life and Legacy special — which airs in the U.K. on Monday — Harry Herbert, who was close of Diana’s and is also a friend of the royal family, says he was asked by the Queen if he could confirm the growing rumors about Diana’s sadness.

The deeply personal conversation came one afternoon following a lunch at Balmoral, the Queen’s estate in the Scottish Highlands.

“The Queen wanted to talk to me about it because she was so worried, she was so, you know, worried about — worried about Diana,” Herbert said.

“Looking down onto this beautiful setting of heather and castle, an incredibly, you know, important chat, a very personal,” Herbert – who is the son of the Queen’s late former racing manager, “Porchie” — recalls. “And the Queen wanted to know how was Diana feeling, and was it as bad as — as it was. It was a sad discussion, a sad moment really because that was everything at its worst.”

Soon afterwards, Herbert was at Kensington Palace visiting with the princess, “when things weren’t particularly easy in her married life” – and revealed that her two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, were able to snap her out of her private turmoil.

“Suddenly, these two boys came thundering round the corner in their dressing gowns — this was before bed — and just watching her face light up, going from sad chat to suddenly — boof!” he said. “I’ll never forget that moment, and them crawling all over her and things flying everywhere.”

“And through all the difficulty of other stuff at that time, you could see it was the most important thing in her life were her boys.”

Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy will air Monday at 9 p.m. in the U.K. on ITV.

The show is one of several commemorations of the Princess in print and on film. PEOPLE and ABC have partnered in a two-night television event The Story of Diana, airing on Aug. 9 and 10 at 9 p.m. ET.
