This Seagull Traffic Reporter Provides the Bird’s Eye View the World Needs Right Now

Transport for London has a new traffic reporter that is earning fans for its unique ability to get a bird’s eye view of the city’s traffic. Of course the ability to get a bird’s eye view comes quite naturally to the reporter, because the reporter is actually a bird.

A photogenic seagull has taken up a perch near a traffic camera above London’s Brunswick Road set up by Transport for London (TfL), which, according to its website, is “a local government organisation responsible for most aspects of London’s transport system.” The public became aware of TfL’s new bird reporter on Monday, when made its first on-camera appearance which was shared on Twitter. The traffic reporting site’s star reporter made a repeat appearance on Tuesday, with TfL sharting the photo with the caption, “Guess who’s back?!”

The world finally started paying attention to the organization’s new traffic reporter on Wednesday, though, when TfL once again tweeted out a photo of the bird. “Due to popular demand, a quick update from our reporter just north of the Blackwall Tunnel…..” With that tweet, people finally realized that TfL was truly backing the seagull’s dream of being an on-camera traffic reporter and helped the avian journalist go viral. At the time of publication, the tweet garnered more than 19,000 retweets and 57,000 likes. As the bird reporter’s popularity grows, hopefully other sites will follow in TfL’s footsteps, because if you want a bird’s eye view of traffic, no one is more suited to the task than an actual bird.

Nipsey Hussle’s tragic death broke hearts across the hip-hop community and beyond. His untimely passing inspired a truce between Los Angeles gangs. He had a grand home going service at the Staples Center where fans packed the venue to pay respects the the late rapper and his family. Whether you are a fan of not, this terrible loss was felt. While many outlets covered his funeral with respect, FOX News laughed and joked while covering Hussle’s farewell.

“Yesterday in  thousands lined the streets to say goodbye to rapper Nipsey Hussle,” FOX News reporter Laura Ingraham said during The Laura Ingraham Show Friday (Apr. 12). “This dear artist recently released a song called FDT ― F Donald Trump.”

“FDT” is actually rapper YG’s  2016 track that features Hussle and after she played a clip of the chorus she then mocked the rapper saying “That’s a very creative refrain, very catchy. “The chorus, it goes on and on. Is that related to the lowest unemployment ever basically for African Americans.”

Ingraham and her guest Raymond Arroyo also made fun of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan for mistakenly calling Hussle Nipsey Russell during his service.

“It’s always a good idea before you give a eulogy to know the name of the deceased,” Arroyo said sarcastically.

As a journalist it is very disrespectful, tactless and insensitive to discuss Hussle’s murder and funeral like it had no meaning or impact. Plus, the comment about the black people having the  lowest unemployment rate ever is false. Our unemployment rates were lowest while Barack Obama was in office.

Take a look at a brief clip of Ingraham below.

A Boxer Forcefully Kissed a Sports Reporter Live on Air. Now She Says He Also Groped Her

A female reporter who was kissed forcefully by a boxer after they finished an interview has said the athlete also grabbed her buttocks without her consent.

Vegas Sports Daily reporter Jennifer Ravalo interviewed boxer Kubrat Pulev on March 23 following a fight in Costa Mesa, Calif. At the end of the interview, Pulev leaned in and kissed Ravalo on the lips. Video footage of the kiss, which features Ravalo saying “thank you” to Pulev amid an uncomfortable laugh went viral. “Jesus Christ,” she says toward the end of the video.

On Monday, Pulev tweeted a statement in which he claimed that Ravalo is a friend of his and that “after the interview, I was so elated, I gave her a kiss.” He said he saw Ravalo later at a post-fight celebration. Pulev did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Ravalo strongly denied Pulev’s claims in a press conference held Thursday with the high-profile attorney Gloria Allred. She said she met Pulev for the first time on March 22, when she asked him to do a pre-fight interview. They met again the next day for a post-fight interview, during which he grabbed her face, kissed her and later allegedly groped her backside.

“I was immediately shocked and embarrassed, and didn’t know how to respond,” she said. “Next, I walked to the table to put my items in my backpack. He grabbed both of my buttocks and squeezed with both of his hands. Then he walked away without saying anything to me and laughed.”

Ravalo said she attended an after-party later on the invitation of a friend. Pulev arrived at the party toward the end of the night, she said, where he asked her to take the kiss out of the interview.

“I did not remove it and instead posted it because I wanted people to see what he had done to me. I wanted him to be accountable,” she said during the press conference. “I didn’t want him to get away with it. What he did to me was disgusting. I felt humiliated. No woman should be treated this way. Mr. Pulev and I were not friends and we were not in a romantic relationship. He had no right to kiss me.”

Allred, who Ravalo hired to help her “impose consequences” on Pulev, has requested the California State Athletic Commission revoke the boxer’s license and investigate the incident. The commission will meet next in May, and Allred asked that it review Ravalo’s case and allow her to testify.

In a statement, the California State Athletic Commission said it takes the incident seriously.

“On Tuesday, Kubrat Pulev was notified that, before he will be licensed to fight in California again, he must appear in front of the commission and demonstrate that he conforms to this principle of respect,” the statement read.
