NASA thought this icy world was shaped like a snowman. It isn’t

The furthest object in our solar system visited by a spacecraft – Ultima Thule – appears not to be “snowman shaped” as first thought, and is in fact much flatter.

‘I Thought It Was Fine.’ The Woman Behind the ‘I Made Queso’ Meme Breaks Her Silence About the Dip That Upset Everyone

Press secretaries are used to taking the heat, but it’s usually not about their cooking. So on Super Bowl 2019, George W. Bush’s former press secretary got a taste of a something a little different. Dana Perino was watching the New England Patriots’ lackluster battle against the Los Angeles Rams when she decided to share a photo of the bubbly queso she had made for the festivities.

“I made queso,” Perino, now a Fox News anchor, captioned her creation. A nice enough thing to do for a Super Bowl 53 party. But her detractors did not see it that way, and the “I made queso” meme was born.

Everyone seemed to agree: a good queso, this was not. The aesthetically unappetizing dish quickly inspired a ferocious meme offensive, the most prominent among them a macabre take from comedian Patton Oswalt.

It was the kind of moment that got thousands talking, pulling focus from the broadcast that millions were watching, but Perino didn’t even realize just how far her dip had spread until later.

“My dentist texted to say it was the best part of the Super Bowl,” she told TIME on Monday. “People were getting a good laugh about it all, but I didn’t realize the scope of it until the mid-day.

Perino, who now splits her time between anchoring FOX News’ The Daily Briefing and co-hosting The Five, admits that cooking is not her area of expertise.

The cheese dip may have looked awful to her harshest food critics online, but Perino insists it was a crowd pleaser.

“Well, I’m not much of a foodie, so I thought it was fine. Good with chips. My friend Russ Lucas ate three bowls of it.” She added that her girlfriends even said “it was quite good.”

As for Perino’s future contributions to parties? She may be retiring the pot.

“I think I’ll be asked only to bring wine to dinners in the future. And I will be happy to do that,” she said.

The best travel hacks you never thought of

From checking you’ve got your tickets every ten minutes, to worrying whether or not you locked the front door when you left, there’s a whole load of things we have to think about when we travel. It doesn’t matter if it’s across the state or to the other side of the world, some unusual travel hacks can save you from the stress. Here are just a few of those all-important hacks.

Roll, don’t fold

One of the easiest ways to save loads of space in your suitcase is to roll your clothes. Instead of folding them and piling them in your bag, fold everything in half then roll them into tight sausages. You’ll save a ton of space, and they end up with less visible fold creases. Take it one step further and roll outfits together. Pick what top, pants, and undergarments will go together in an outfit, then pile them. Place each sock hanging out the sides so that when you roll the clothes up, they’ll all be intertwined with the openings of the socks hanging out each side of the roll. You can then fold the socks over to close the roll and keep it together. Genius!

Charge on the go

Maybe the simplest travel hack ever – but often overlooked – is the usefulness of a portable charger. Take a charger and lead with you everywhere you go and you never have to run out of cell phone battery. Charge the pack overnight in your hotel, and every day you’re free to take all the scenery pictures you could ever want.

Prove it’s yours

If you have no photos saved on your phone before your trip – to make room for hundreds of pictures of your destination, of course – or you’ve got an empty SD card in your camera, you’ve got no proof that it’s yours if it gets lost or stolen. Before you embark on your travels, therefore, take a selfie! If the first photo on the camera roll is of you, it’s undeniably easy to prove it belongs to you, and get it returned.

Space saving

In your bag, don’t waste valuable space. Stuff socks and underwear in your shoes, so that you don’t have any empty space taking up that precious room in your case. You could even fit a pair of socks in your glasses case or a t-shirt in an empty water bottle.

Waterproof your bag

This one is especially handy if you’re heading out on a trek or backpacking across several countries or cities. Place a bin bag inside your backpack while you’re out on excursions. Put all of your stuff inside the plastic bag, inside your main bag, and fold the top over. This will stop all of your belongings getting wet if rain was to seep through your backpack.

Use these unusual travel hacks so that you never have to stress about your luggage or belongings ever again! There are tons of hacks out there so that you can make the most out of your travels, but these are some of the most helpful and simple, to get you through your journeys.

This Actor Really Thought He Landed Leonardo DiCaprio’s Part in Titanic

If Matthew McConaughey had gotten his way, moviegoers would’ve been mourning a very different Jack at the end of Titanic.

During an appearance on Saturday’s episode of The Hollywood Reporter‘s Awards Chatter podcast, the 49-year-old actor revealed that he had gone out for the lead role in James Cameron’s 1998 Best Picture winner—and even thought he was a shoe-in—but ultimately lost out on the part to Leonardo DiCaprio.

“I wanted that,” he said. “I auditioned with Kate Winslet. Had a good audition. Walked away from there pretty confident that I had it. I didn’t get it. I never got offered that.”

But it seems like McConaughey ultimately wasn’t too fazed by by the missed opportunity because he got to keep living it up while starring in high-paying rom-coms. “I was also living on a beach and going out without my shirt on, just like I did before I was famous,” he said of his life during that time. “I was living a romantic comedy.”

Jason Garrett ‘talked about thought process’ behind OT punt with Jerry Jones

FRISCO, Texas — At the day-after analysis of the Dallas Cowboys’ 19-16 overtime loss to the Houston Texans, coach Jason Garrett on Monday explained his decision to punt on the first possession of overtime to owner and general manager Jerry Jones. After the game, Jones was critical of the decision to punt at the Houston 42 since the Cowboys did not regain possession and lost on a 36-yard field goal by Ka’imi Fairbairn with 1:50 to play in overtime. "We were being outplayed there, not out-efforted but we were outplayed," Jones said Sunday. "But it’s time for risk at that particular time. That’s not second-guessing, but we were taking some risk too at certain points in the game." After the game, Garrett defended the decision because he was relying on a defense that forced three punts, created two turnovers and gave up just two field goals in the second half. On Monday, Garrett relayed the message to Jones during their Monday meeting. "We…
