50 Cent Sets His Gucci Clothes On Fire And Jamie Foxx Comes Through With More Altering Suggestions

The Gucci brand found itself in hot water after the blackface scandal. Now, 50 Cent sets his Gucci clothes on fire and posts it on Instagram. Watch his video below.

‘I gotta get rid of all the Gucci I have at home. I’m not supporting their brand anymore. #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi #bellator,’ 50 Cent captioned her post.

Someone addressed rapper Tip and said ‘@troubleman31 ya should have a “Burn The House Down” (or similar clever name event where ya bring all your name brand clothes (those involved) and burn it!!! Make money off THEM! #FlipTheScript‼ @50cent … IF YOU AGREE REPLY TO THIS COMMENT & TAG YOUR FAVORITE ARTIST #ActionsSpeakLouderThanWords 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💯💯💯💯💯

Someone has a proposal for 50 Cent and said: ‘@50cent why not buy up more of their brands and take it to the slumps or war-wrecked countries, make the video of you donating their brands to this homeless war wrecked people, make a video documentary till the Gucci turns to rags within few days, then send this video out. Gucci is then for the poor.’

Another follower bashed him and said ‘This is an act of stupidity, there are less privileged out there, and you are here burning down Gucci what of dollars and you want us to clap for you.’

Here’s another similar opinion: ‘Like I said people like this and @troubleman31 are dumb as hell, burning your Gucci clothes that u spent ur hard earned money on? Hating on a brand that made a mistake, took it down and apologized immediately right after, then hating and bashing another brother cause he wanted to shop there minding his own? It doesn’t matter what Gucci did it’s how we as a people took it if Floyd wanna shop there that’s his damn choice how u gonna tell another man where he can spend his bread? This shit wack and corny what y’all doing, people, black & white still shop there and work in there as well, what u Gonna do hate Gucci’s forever. This is very low.’

Even Jamie Foxx commented on his post and here’s what he had to say.

One of The Shade Room’s followers said that ‘He should have donated it to the homeless. It’s already been purchased so what’s the harm in making some good out of a bad situation.’

What do you think about 50 Cent’s latest action?

Kourtney Kardashian – Here’s What The KUWK Star Wants To Teach People Through Her Co-Parenting With Scott Disick

It is a well-known fact to Keeping Up with the Kardashians fans that Kourtney Kardashian and her ex, Scott Disick are better co-parents to their three kids than most! That being said, the reality TV star got candid about their co-parenting relationship and revealed why it’s important for it to work, aside from the sake of their young ones.

Kourt and Scott have been through a lot in their nine-years-long relationship before putting an end to it, but nowadays, they seem to be in a great place!

As fans know, the exes often go on vacations together with the children, and some of those have even included the man’s current girlfriend, Sofia Richie, which only proves how healthy their co-parenting is!

While stopping by the Today Show on Thursday, Kourtney got candid about her and Scott’s relationship and what message she’s trying to send through it.

‘I feel like I can show a message, too, of like parents can get along and work together and travel together. And I think it’s a good message to show other people. I am not doing it for that reason, but I think the positive things that we are doing is nice too,’ the mother of three shared.

The Kardashian was a guest during the third hour of the show to also promote her cosmetics reform.

This comes nearly a year after Kourtney met up with congressional leaders and discussed updating the cosmetics legislation so the products generally used would no longer contain dangerous chemicals.

She has now teamed up with the Environmental Working Group to reach that goal.

‘I shouldn’t have to be standing in the bathroom scanning to know what products I am using are safe or not safe. Especially products for my kids,’ the star argued.

5 Ways to Increase Your Net Worth Through Your Network

You’ve probably heard the saying, “your network equals your net worth,” or to put it another way—it’s not what you know, it’s who you know. Those with affluence and influence tend to network with those with similar attributes. You can increase your net worth through your network.

However, networking isn’t just about connecting with people who have money but with those who have influence and can open doors for you. But how do you become a master networker?

Five Ways to Increase Your Net Worth Through Your Network

Go where you’re most uncomfortable

Lisa Nichols, a transformational coach says, “You will never find your next best version of you sitting inside of your comfort zone.” If the opportunity to rise to the next level means getting into rooms, showing up in places, and having conversations with those whom you wouldn’t normally talk to, then it’s time to take a deep breath and step out on that limb.

Assess your network

Your network is bigger than you think. It’s your classmates from every level of education. As an alumnus of Northwestern University, I was able to connect with classmates, professors, and other graduates to land one of my highest paying jobs back in 2008, and increase my income by $ 25,000 when I switched jobs. Unfortunately, most people discredit their connections with their colleges even though every college has an alumni association and network. Also, don’t disregard your church connections, or people you do business with like your doctors, hair stylists, bankers, and others.

Prepare in advance for networking events

Prepare for networking events by knowing beforehand what you want to discuss and who you want to meet.

Show up early to networking events

Busy people often show up early to networking events and don’t always stay the entire time. The person you may want to meet at an event may not be there if you arrive too late.

Follow Up

It’s important to follow-up after a networking event. Not only with new relationships, but with those you may have met before. Another way to reconnect is to share an article that might be beneficial to them or invite them to an event that they could benefit them.

Celeb Moments Were Plentiful Through Dull Super Bowl

ATLANTA (AP) — Not everyone is watching Super Bowl 53 for the love of football — celebrities are a big part of the day, too. Here’s a breakdown of what is happening with entertainers on Sunday in Atlanta.

___

GLADYS KNIGHT, CHLOE X HALLE FILLED WITH JOY

Gladys Knight was all smiles as she blew kisses to everyone, and Chloe x Halle were almost speechless after their pregame performance at Super Bowl 53.

Knight called her rendition of the “The Star-Spangled Banner” an “exciting moment” and “one to remember” in the tunnel of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where the New England Patriots played the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday in Atlanta. The 74-year-old singer was all smiles as she thanked everyone who supported her through the controversy involving performers who were criticized for performing at the NFL’s marquee game.

Before Knight performed, the R&B sister duo Chloe x Halle sang “America the Beautiful.” The group said their experience was “wonderful” and were “thankful to God” for the opportunity.

Both Knight and Chloe x Halle put on strong performances. They have been surrounded by the controversy after some have boycotted the NFL over treatment of Colin Kaepernick, the former quarterback who protested racial injustice by kneeling during the national anthem.

While some performers declined participation in the Super Bowl, Knight said she hoped her anthem would unite people.

Maroon 5, Travis Scott and Big Boi will headline the halftime show at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

___

JAMIE FOXX TAKES SELFIES WITH CIVIL RIGHTS ICONS

Jamie Foxx took several selfies with civil rights pioneers John Lewis and Andrew Young on the sidelines before kickoff at Super Bowl 53.

After taking pictures with them, Foxx shook Lewis and Young’s hand then told them they inspire him. Lewis and Young were sitting in the back of the golf cart while Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s youngest daughter Bernice King sat in the front.

Beforehand, Foxx strolled down the sideline and took videos of the crowd at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium as many chanted his name before the New England Patriots faced the Los Angeles Rams in Atlanta on Sunday. The Oscar-winning actor said he is a longtime fan of the Dallas Cowboys, but he is rooting for the Patriots.

“I’m going with Tom Brady today,” Foxx said. “I think he’s going to pull it off.”

Foxx bet on the right quarterback — Brady’s Patriots defeated the Rams 13-3.

Foxx said he’s been coming to the Super Bowl for many years calling each time a “different experience.” He performed at the Maxim party that also featured Future and Diplo on Saturday night.

“Every year, it’s special. It’s great. It’s nothing like football,” he said.

___

CELEBS & ATHLETES MINGLE

Ex-NBA player Steve Smith was around and  Jon Hamm, Swizz Beatz and Camila Mendes all shared the same luxury suite. They were only a couple doors away from Maroon 5 and Big Boi, who performed at halftime of the game.

“I loved Maroon 5’s performance. They rocked it,” said retired NFL player Curtis Martin, who played for the New York Jets and Patriots. “Travis (Scott) and Big Boi was amazing too. I liked how they mixed things up. Big gave that ATL flavor.”

Director Peter Berg said Maroon 5’s frontman Adam Levine “really delivered.”

Asked what Berg’s best moment was: “When he took his shirt off. I was like ‘Damn, looking good.’”

___

KEY STAR-STRUCK

Keegan-Michael Key is a celebrity in his own right, but the actor-comedian still gets star-struck when hanging around NFL players.

“The thing is being backstage with a lot of them. You turn the corner and it’s like ‘Oh, there’s J.J. Watt. Oh, nice to meet you. Oh, there goes Barry Sanders running around. It’s nice to be behind-the-scenes. You get to meet a lot of the players. I’m such an NFL fan.”

Key, who starred in the Comedy Central series “Key & Peele,” said his favorite player Charles Woodson played a role in the “East-West College Bowl” skit. Woodson won a Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers in 2011.

“We met last year for the first time, and it was an important time,” Key said. “He gave us so much inspiration for that episode.”

Key hopes he can one day see Beyonce sing the national anthem and perform during halftime at the same Super Bowl. She was a halftime performer in 2013 and 2016.

“Now, that would be awesome if she could pull that off,” he said. “I really want to see her make that happen. I think she can. I mean, she’s Beyonce.”

Train Burglary Suspect Falls Through Ice While Running From Police

(ABC 7 Screenshot)

A Chicago man who fell through ice on the Douglas Park Lagoon while running from police on Thursday has reportedly been charged with burglarizing a train.

On  Thursday officers spotted a speeding vehicle that was wanted in connection with a train burglary, according to ABC7.

Travonta Turner, 22, and another suspect in the burglary reportedly got out of the vehicle and ran into Douglas Park when officers pursued them, police said.

The officers followed Turner as he tried to run across the ice on the lagoon and fell through, police said. Officers were able to get him out of the water and he was taken into custody.

Turner has been charged with felony counts of burglary and criminal trespass to real property, ABC7 reports.

Boys Will Be Boys. Covington’s Showed Yet Again Why Only White Boys Can Smirk Through That.

Photo Illustration by Lyne Lucien/The Daily Beast

Boys will be boys.

We expect them to rough-house, crash their father’s Volvo, have one too many beers and get caught pissing outside at least once in their lives. As a society, we have come to accept the skirt-chasing, even when that “skirt” is not interested. Male aggression is all too often embraced and rewarded as crassness and hyper-masculinity remain, unfortunately, a celebrated trait in some quarters, allowing men and boys a time-honored, unearned discount—a point of privilege that allows them to evade responsibility for minor and sometimes even egregious acts of wrongdoing.

Except that old “rule” does not apply to all boys and men.

Magical mystery tour: a road trip through Mexico

Kicking off at a raucous Day of the Dead party, this odyssey takes in indigenous culture rarely seen by outsiders, with plenty of music and laughs along the way

I’m lying on the grass in the churchyard in Huaquechula, a small town in the state of Puebla, central Mexico. I open my eyes and look up. A man dressed in eagle feathers is standing on top of a 30-metre telegraph pole banging a small drum, and four other men are climbing up towards him. When the four reach the top, they attach ropes to their ankles and lean far back, arms out, until they are upside down. Then the eagle-man starts to dance and sing.

Managing Your Career Through Breast Cancer

As we recognize October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I am reminded of the story of a woman I met a decade ago who serves as an excellent example of how to maintain your career, dignity, and mental well-being as you face this challenge.

In June of 2005, Hannah Burns was managing director of corporate communications at Lehman Bros., and fulfilling one of her major responsibilities: getting the company’s quarterly earnings results out to the public. As the numbers were being released, Burns set up a meeting with her boss – he believed she was going to update him on the media’s coverage of the data. Instead, she had to deliver a far more difficult story.

“I’ve got good news, and bad news,” she told him. “The good news is that it’s early and very treatable, the bad news is that I have breast cancer.”

Burns describes herself as a private person, but she went straight to her boss’s office when her doctor delivered the news over the phone. “Being in my function I couldn’t just disappear and not tell anybody. I just wanted to get it off of my chest and move on. It was an easy conversation. He was incredibly sympathetic, and shocked.”

The fact that this mother of two daughters had her disease detected early had her believing that she would be able to “get it off of her chest and move on.” The next few months, however, would prove to be a physical and emotional challenge that she could not have imagined.

Three weeks later, there was the surgery, which was followed by a rigorous four-month period of chemotherapy, bone marrow shots, and then seven weeks of radiation.

In a feat that can be described as nothing short of heroic, aside from a one week recovery period after surgery, Burns only missed one day of work throughout her entire four months of treatments.

“In addition to wanting to teach my daughters a lesson on how to work through adversity, the firm was so supportive that I wanted to do my absolute best to show my gratitude,” says Burns. “The firm said do whatever you need to do to get well. Knowing you’ve got that support is half the battle.”

Not only did Lehman provide Burns with inspiration, but the firm also gave her the flexibility to work through her challenge. She had her treatments on Wednesdays, did not have to return to work, and she was able to come in late on Thursday’s. Burns says her worst side effects set in on Friday afternoons, and Lehman allowed her to leave in the afternoon. The company also provided her with car service to and from the office throughout the entire ordeal.

What to Do if This Happens to You

One of the many things Burns has taught me was that not everyone–not even corporate giants like Lehman Bros.– have all the answers. She simply had to tap into her courage and give the company a blueprint to help her best navigate this challenge. Otherwise, her boss may not have known what to do and there may have been a different result.

If you find yourself trying to work through this situation, here are some tips that may help:

1. Talk to your doctor before your employer

You need to know what you can expect physically and psychologically so that you can be clear about your needs to your employer. That way you can come to your boss with a clear plan of action. Burns, for example, purposely scheduled her treatments on Wednesday’s. That way she would have the weekend to recover when the worst of the side effects hit about 48 hours later. She knew she would need Friday afternoons off.

“Work is a very important part of a women’s life, and if she can continue to work, she’s going to do better,” says Dr. Ruth Oratz, renowned oncologist and associate professor of clinical medicine at New York University School of Medicine. “But they need to be flexible, and realize that they may have to make some changes.” Oratz adds that work is not going to be an option for all women.

2. Be true to yourself when talking to your boss

“How much you tell your boss depends on your own personal style,” according to Kate Sweeney, co-founder of Cancer and Careers. “If you have an open relationship, be open. If not, just present the situation, and tell them what you will need.” Also, if you have an open relationship with your co-workers, you will likely want to share details of your recovery. If you’re more private you may just want to say “I’m doing fine,” and don’t be afraid to leave it at that.”

3. Find out what your company has done with employees in this situation in the past

This is particularly true when it comes to leave and benefits. You are trying to determine if former policies will work for you. Suppose, for example, you want to work from home, yet you find out this has not been allowed. You want to be able to bring that up to your boss, as something you will need. Maybe your company has never been in this situation before. You need to find out if it is going to be up to you to guide them, when it comes to helping you remain as productive as possible.

4. Know your legal rights

In the U.S., for example, people with cancer are protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act which gives you rights in the workplace. In addition, protection is provided under the Family Medical Leave Act, which provides 12 weeks of unpaid leave a year. The weeks do not have to be taken consecutively. Human resources departments can be a great resource when it comes to knowing your legal rights. They can also be of great help with your insurer. A company calling on your behalf will likely have a lot more leverage with an insurance firm than you calling as an individual.

5. Pay attention to how you feel

If you take time off for treatments, you can expect to have a lot of mixed emotions as you transition from patient back to employee. If you don’t feel psychologically up to speed, you may want to seek out some counseling, or attend workshops and seminars to refresh your work skills. Physically, take a look at your work space. Tell your employer if it needs to be redesigned with something like back support.
