Beyoncé and Jay-Z closed out the Atlanta stop of their ‘On the Run II’ tour with an unwelcome guest.

As Bey & Jay exited the stage, a fan decided to rush the stage — and Bey’s dancers weren’t having it.

In a flash, the dancers swarmed the fan and gave him what appeared to be a beatdown.

Take a look:

Update: Beyoncé’s publicist confirms that both she and Jay-Z are fine and looking forward to tomorrow’s show in Atlanta.

In one of the most delightful interviews you’ll see for an age, Golding talked to Fallon about the fact that he didn’t have a single acting credit to his name before being cast.

“They tracked me down. As much as I tried not to audition for this, they really like, Jon [M. Chu, Crazy Rich Asians director] pretty much sent the hounds on me,” he said.

How did they manage to drag Golding into a role in a film that already has 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes? It was all down to one Lisa Kim from accounting. Read more…

We tried it: the $5.25 diapers hack at Walgreens

by

Becky Vieira

posted in Parenting

Two things to know about me: I love to shop. And I really love to save.

Kids are expensive! So now that I’m a mom, saving money is even more important. I’ve perfected my savings skills over the years, and what I’ve learned can help you out.

For starters, shop at a store that gives you multiple ways to save. Then you can layer those savings atop one another for big price reductions. Huge. It’s pretty easy to do, with a little forethought and planning.

I do most of my shopping — and savings — at Walgreens. I love this store, I trust this store. There are so many ways to save on the bottom line there that I managed to get packs of Pampers Diapers for a mere $ 5.25 each. Not bad, right?

Toddler boy looks at Pampers Diapers on shelf at Walgreens

Here are my 6 favorite smart ways to save at Walgreens:

  1. Loyalty Points: As a Balance Rewards member, I earn points for each dollar I spend. The points can be used as dollars off future purchases. Walgreens even offers bonus points with certain purchases — look for green tags that identify these extra-points items.
  2. Sales: Something is always on sale at Walgreens. In fact, my son — who is learning his colors — helps me find the yellow sale tags.
  3. Special codes: The Walgreens website is a goldmine. Just the other day I found a special code to save an additional 25 percent off beauty and personal care items. You never know what you’ll find.
  4. Balance Rewards: Not only does being a Balance Rewards member enable me to earn Loyalty Points, I also get member’s-only deals and offers, as well as paperless coupons (a busy mom’s must-have). I don’t have to keep track of anything, just type in my phone number at checkout and it does all the work for me.
  5. Free ship-to-store: If there’s something I want on the Walgreens website I don’t have to pay for shipping. I can have anything shipped to my local store, free of charge. And all my prescriptions ship to my home for free.
  6. Local souvenirs: This is a personal favorite tip, one I’ve shared with friends for years. Walgreens has amazing and affordable local souvenirs. When I travel it’s one of my first stops. T-shirts, magnets, you name it. All at a big savings. Okay, technically this doesn’t have anything to do with saving on diapers and baby needs. I just couldn’t resist noting it.

Now, as for that hack on Pampers…it’s real, and it was easy. Here’s how I did it:

I bought four packs of Pampers for a total of $ 36. They were on sale at a price of two packs for $ 18.

Now for the savings layering I mentioned earlier: I used a manufacturer’s coupon for $ 3.00 off two packs of Pampers diapers (and $ 2.00 off Pampers Easy Ups). I’d spent $ 30 on a previous shopping trip and earned 10,000 Loyalty Points, which I applied to this purchase for a $ 10 savings. (You can earn 10,000 loyalty points with a $ 30 purchase too if you shop from now through June 9.)

All told, I got an overall savings of 60 percent and the net price came out to be $ 5.25 per pack when I purchased four.

Toddler wearing Pampers Pure diapers

There you have it. Walgreens is my favorite mom hack. Unheard-of prices on diapers. Free ship-to-store online shopping. And the lowest prices on that post-vacation souvenir mug you promised to bring your dog walker. Who knew?

What’s your trick for finding the best deals on diapers?

The man who threatened to unleash an alleged sex tape featuring actor and comedian Kevin Hart was slapped with extortion charges and now faces four years in jail. Jonathan Jackson’s name was made public after the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office issued a statement regarding the case.

Jackson, 41, an actor who and worked with Hart in the past and also goes by the names Action Jackson and J.T., was charged with one count of attempted extortion and extortion by threatening letter.

According to the statment for the L.A. County DA, tried to force Hart into paying him a huge amount of cash for footage in August 2017 that featured him and Montia Sabbag, which TMZ reportedly said was a Las Vegas stripper after they published the edited footage last September.

As of now, Jackson’s bail is set at $ 100,00 and the maximum time he’ll do for the crime if charged is four years. Hart didn’t fully address the announcement, but a tweet this afternoon seemed to sum up his feelings on the matter.

“Mind blown…Hurt…at a lost for words and simply in complete disbelief at the moment. WOW,” read the tweet.

Trump Gets the National Security Adviser McMaster Tried to Prevent

Florian Gaertner/Getty

H.R. McMaster went into Donald Trump’s White House an unexpected, out-of-place fit whom his security-field allies hoped would restrain the president. He exits it without an active military career and with his long-cultivated reputation for integrity tarnished by his tumultuous year working for Trump.

And McMaster turns his job over to a right-wing foreign policy expert considered all but bloodthirsty and eager to encourage Trump’s most hawkish instincts—exactly the sort of figure McMaster’s many allies in defense circles feared would rapidly emerge in the wake of McMaster’s departure.

Late Thursday afternoon, Trump finally pushed McMaster out, the culmination of an agonizing few weeks of humiliating leaks that the Army three-star general was a dead man walking.

Better Ergonomics at the Office: What Products Have You Tried and Loved?

better ergonomics at the officeWe’ve talked before about ergonomics at work — as well as ergonomics for petites — but it’s been a while, so let’s discuss today, ladies! Have you tried to have better ergonomics at the office? What have you bought; what products did you like/not get annoyed by, and what actually made you feel better/good? (Plus, do tell: what did you get reimbursed?) What resources were the most helpful for you in your hunt?

For my $ .02: I feel like I am forever buying, trying, and discarding various things to try to make my office better ergonomically. I’m typing this very post on a new split keyboard (recommended by Wirecutter as one of their top choices), and trying to relearn how to type because the numbers along the top are split (1-5 are on one keyboard, 6-0 on another), and other keyboard features that I use frequently are in a different place than my old keyboard. Over the years, I’ve bought a huge number of those lower back pillows designed to improve your posture — and about every ten years I seem to need to try a kneeling desk chair one more time. (I bought one last year and think I’m set for this decade… nope, still don’t like them.) Ergonomic products I have bought and liked:

This post contains affiliate links and Corporette® may earn commissions for purchases made through links in this post. For more details see here. Thank you so much for your support!

  • monitor risers (I have double monitors so I have one for each; I like them!)
  • this is the split keyboard I bought a few weeks ago — I like the mechanical keys (very clicky clacky) and the squishy wrist rest, but we’ll see if I can get past the weird Ctrl button and lack of a number pad. If you’re out and about frequently, I still like my Bluetooth keyboard also so I can avoid trying to type long things on my phone (a friend was just telling me she was diagnosed with “texting thumb,” which might also explain hand pain I’ve had for a while now…)
  • I got this $ 30 lumbar pillow during my second pregnancy and must say I like it much more than all the other desk chair pillows/posture adjusters that I’ve had over the years (check out our recentish post on how to improve your posture, as well – lots of great suggestions from readers in the comments)
  • I feel guilty saying it’s an “ergonomic” pick but it was recommended by Wirecutter as their “budget” pick — I have the Ikea Markus chair for my main desk chair. It’s ugly as sin but for $ 200 I’ll take it.
  • Over the years I’ve also had apps installed on my computer to reduce eye strain, including one years ago that reminded me to blink regularly (I can’t find it now, but here’s a more recent article from Lifehack with free apps to help you with eye strain)
  • I don’t regularly have problems with carpal tunnel syndrome, but during my first pregnancy I did for some reason — I remember loving the arm brace from my local drugstore and thinking it really helped the pain (I slept in it, I think, instead of using it during the day)…
  • I need to get a nice big crate or banker’s box to put under my desk — I’ve tried and discarded a few nicer “stands” and stools over the years and just like the basic banker’s box!

How about you, readers? What products have you tried seeking better ergonomics at the office? What are your biggest complaints (wrist? neck? back? eyes? other?)

Kenya Moore’s Ex-Boyfriend Allegedly Tried To Kill Her

Sunday night’s episode of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” saw the ladies come together to share their respective experiences with domestic violence.

Kenya Moore tackled the role of producer for a PSA to spread awareness about the widespread issue.

“I decided to produce a PSA on domestic violence to help spread the word on this important issue,” she said during the episode, according to People. “When it comes to domestic violence, you don’t have to look very far to find someone who has been adversely affected by it.”

She kicked off the conversation by recalling the time a violent ex-boyfriend tried to kill her when she was a teenager.

“When I was 16 years old, I dated someone who was 11 years my senior,” she said. “It turned out to be a very physically abusive relationship to the point where I was stabbed, nearly killing me.”

She explained that she still deals with the trauma from that relationship, to this very day.

“Knowing that this day and age — 20, 30 years later — it’s still occurring,” she said. “I really wanted to do something about it.”

NeNe Leakes also shared her experience. “I was abused very young,” she said. “I was dating a guy that was the first guy that ever said I love you. And I took when he said ‘I love you’ to heart. Like, ‘This is love!’ And even when he hit me, I thought, ‘This is love.’ ”

“I stayed in that abusive relationship for really a long time,” Leakes continued. “I ended up having a child from that relationship. And eventually, I was able to get out.”

Shamea Morton and Cynthia’s Bailey’s mom Barbara Morris also gave testimonials.

“His hand went across my face so hard,” Morton alleged, adding that her ex-was jealous and had accused her of cheating on him. “The one pair of fancy shoes that I finally got from him, he knocked me right out of them. My shoes were over here and I was on the ground over there.”

Bailey revealed that she was very young when her mother was going through this.

“Though I was very young when all this was going on, I know that my dad was physically and verbally abusive towards my mom,” Bailey said. “I am proud of my mom because I know this is hard for her to talk about. She grew up in a generation where you just didn’t talk about that stuff. And I know this is a huge opportunity for her to heal from the situation and really really have some closure.”

Moore, Bailey, Kandi Burruss, Sheree Whitfield and NeNe Leakes came together at the end of the PSA to tell viewers, “There is no excuse for abuse.”

The NFL Tried to Bribe Players with $100 Million to Stop Kneeling and Protesting During Games, It Didn’t Work

The NFL tried to buy their players off with almost $ 100 million so they’d stop protesting at games — but no deal was made.

via TMZ:

The NFL recently proposed a deal in which they’d contribute $ 89 million over seven years to 2 organizations focused on African-American causes, as well as to the Players Coalition so they could use the money for whatever causes they wanted.

In exchange, the NFL wanted the National Anthem protests to end — but the deal seems to have failed. Many players continued to kneel and demonstrate during this week’s games.

The L.A. Chargers’ left tackle Russel Okung raised his fist during the National Anthem Sunday, and the Oakland Raiders’ Marshawn Lynch remained seated for the song. L.A. Rams player Robert Quinn raised his fist as well, and other players linked arms in solidarity.

At least 6 other players between Miami, New Orleans and San Francisco all took a knee after some of them publicly raised issues with the proposed deal from their bosses.

We’re happy the players kneeled stood their ground.

4 ways I tried to revive my exhausted mom body

by

Maggie Downs

posted in Life

At 6 a.m., when my 3-year-old son is ready to start the day, I can barely drag my old, soggy bones out of bed. I feel like I’ve just done a half-marathon, but the race hasn’t even started. I need a magical energy boost.

How on earth can I summon enough energy to keep up with a spirited toddler when I feel about as lively as an overcooked noodle? I go to bed as early as possible and make healthy life choices, already. But something clearly has to change.

So I decided to be my own test subject and try four different (legal) approaches to boosting my own energy. My hope was that I’d become as nonstop and active as a rabid squirrel – or at least get out of bed without groaning.  Here’s what happened:

WHOLE30

A white plate and fork with a pretty but substantial salad

Whole30 is an eating plan that involves stripping your diet of sugar, alcohol, grains, legumes, soy, and dairy for 30 days, while emphasizing whole, non-processed foods.

I assumed I would see more of a dramatic shift in my body or in how I felt, but I didn’t. Maybe that’s a testament to my normal routine, which I think is pretty healthy anyway. I didn’t lose any weight, I don’t look any different, and I didn’t gain a surge of energy.

However, by the end of the month, I had a very clear head. There was one day in particular when I was brainstorming some ideas at work, and I couldn’t write down my ideas fast enough. Also my creaky joints felt looser and a little more juicy.

The best side effect of Whole30 is that I prepared for each week by making a meal plan, creating a shopping list, and doing prep work at the beginning of each week. I found that just a couple hours of planning and cooking on a Sunday made my entire week run smoother. Maybe that only creates the illusion of energy, but the overall effect was one of saved time, decreased stress, and improved nutrition. My whole family was happier with Whole30.

GOLDEN MILK

A white mug on a wooden table. Inside the mug is a gritty and gold colored beverage

You know how once you notice something, it’s suddenly everywhere? That’s how it was with golden milk and me. An acquaintance of mine wrote an article about it, and then I began seeing evidence of this concoction all over the place, everywhere from hipster coffee shops to health food stores.

Never heard of this drink before? Though it sounds either really fancy or like some kind of fetish, golden milk is neither. It’s yellow turmeric spice combined with any variety of milk (some people even use tea or straight-up coconut oil).

Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory super spice (the best Spice Girl of all), and proponents of golden milk claim the concoction relaxes the body, promotes sleep, and creates an overall sense of wellness. My thinking was that better sleep would lead to more energy in the morning.

There are dozens of recipes for the health-boosting beverage, which is incredibly easy to make at home. I made mine with coconut milk, fresh ginger, cinnamon, black pepper, a tiny bit of maple syrup, and ground turmeric (one day I was feeling extra and actually grated fresh turmeric root into my drink).

It was a delicious and soothing drink. Each night I would curl my hands around the steaming mug, and I could feel myself relax a little more.

That’s how it went the first week, anyway.

By the second week, I could barely choke down the whole drink.

By week three, my hands were stained yellow, and I couldn’t even look at my spice rack.

I didn’t even make it to week 4.

I still believe golden milk offers a healthy boost, but next time – if I can ever stomach it again – I’ll enjoy it in moderation.

EXERCISE

The author, a woman with fake red hair, stands near a lake during a hike.

I envisioned buying one of those new member specials at a gym that would get me unlimited spin or barre classes for one month. In reality, the class times didn’t mesh with our daycare and work schedules.

So I bought a small package of spin classes and patched together a workout plan that included 30 days of spin, YouTube yoga, and outdoor hikes.

Exercise is one of those things that I know makes me feel better – I know this – but it’s hard for me to get out the door and actually do it. Once I resolved myself to 30 days of movement, it became a priority, and I enjoyed the challenge of finding ways to do it. My mental, emotional, and physical health all benefitted.

Ultimately, the workouts helped me sleep more soundly, which helped cultivate more energy, even though there were still days I dragged.

VITAMINS

A photo of Hum vitamin bottles

I’ll just say this right off the bat: I’m a sucker for good packaging, trendy products, and online quizzes, which is how I ended up dropping my money on HUM vitamins and supplements in three minutes flat.

Based on my answers to the quiz, my “personal nutritionist” recommended Red Carpet, a supplement for clear skin and shiny, fuller hair; Here Comes the Sun, a tiny vitamin D gel capsule; and Uber Energy, for … well, energy. That’s exactly what I ordered, even though all the HUM products sounded tempting and had glowing reviews.

I’m always skeptical about how well vitamins and supplements work, but I do think these made a difference. For instance, my hair, which has been thin and brittle ever since I gave birth, looked thicker and appeared healthier. I actually received compliments from others, and I couldn’t remember the last time that had happened.

I wouldn’t say that Uber Energy made me more energetic – it wasn’t like chugging a Red Bull or anything. But on the few days that I forgot to take the supplements in the morning, I felt I lacked energy. But who knows if that was indeed the work of the supplement or a placebo effect?

This corgi tried very earnestly to share a bone with his reflection, proving he’s the ultimate “good boy”

We’ve all heard that dogs are “man’s best friend,” but a dog can also be their own best friend. Allow us to explain. A dog has taken over our Twitter feeds for doing the most adorable thing ever: trying to share a bone with his reflection. His name is Auggie, and he’s pretty much the most adorable corgi ever. And this selfless act just proves he’s the ultimate “good boy.” We’ll say!

It’s no secret that no matter what corgis are doing, they capture our hearts. For instance, there was the corgi who wore a propeller hat, as well as the corgi who wore a mermaid tail. (Say what?!) Both were super adorbs. But Auggie rivals them both.

Without further ado, here’s the corgi who’s taking over Twitter in all his attempted-bone-sharing glory.

Just check out those likes and retweets! As of this writing, the post has been retweeted over 65,000 times and hearted/liked by more than 164,000 people, but we have no doubt those numbers will keep climbing.

Of course, we ~cannot~ get enough of that video.

And don’t you love Auggie smiling at himself at the end? The Twitterverse also ate this vid up (sans bone).

We’re pretty much dying over these tweets.

But the tweet that made us laugh the most actually came from the good boy himself. But Auggie the corgi isn’t just a good boy. He’s also a literary agent in training as the pet of Associate Literary Agent Eric Smith. And he’d just like to let you know that while he is extremely busy, he’s not letting the fame go to his head… at least not too much.

Truly, Auggie — you might just be the best boy.

Okay, now we have to go watch Auggie and Eric’s video a few more times. BRB!

Bronx Girl Who Poured Boiling Water on 11-Year-Old Friend As a ‘Prank’ Has Reportedly Tried to Kill Herself

11-year-old Jamoneisha Merrit was sleeping at a friend’s house when she woke up in agony after being doused by boiling water by a friend.

The act was part of a prank war gone terribly wrong.

The 12-year-old girl responsible for the attack has tried to kill herself over the incident, according to her mother.

via NYDN:

“My daughter tried to stab herself with a knife,” said mom Shernett Panton, 34, on Thursday. “It was a prank — not a good prank. But after she saw what she did to (Jamoneisha) was really wrong, she tried to kill herself.”

The burned girl’s mother allegedly choked 12-year-old Aniya Grant Stuart over the incident, and the angry parent appeared Thursday morning spewing threats outside the Panton apartment.

“I’m going to cut your face, you f—ing b—-!” Ebony Merritt screamed at Panton. “I’m going to burn your f—ing house down! You let this happen to my daughter!”

According to Panton, the girl she knew as Jamoni was a friend of her daughter Aniya and basically moved into their apartment about a month ago.

“They always prank each other,” said Panton. “My daughter was sleeping and Jamoni poured cold water on Aniya. My daughter was like, ‘OK, if you’re gonna do a prank on me, I’m gonna prank you back.’

“But my daughter — I don’t know what she was thinking — boiled hot water and poured it on Jamoni’s face.”

Panton was sleeping around 4 a.m. when the bizarre incident occurred as Jamoni slept on a couch in the family living room.

The girl was rushed to Harlem Hospital for treatment of the burns. The Rev. Robert Rice prayed with the burn victim, her mother and her grandmother in the girl’s hospital room.

“She’s doing fine, she’s strong,” said Rice. “Her spirit is strong. I gave her a hug, and she’s smiling.”

Aniya was under a suicide watch at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center after trying to stab herself with a knife, according to her mom.

“What she did was really wrong, but it’s too much right now,” said Panton, 34. “My daughter is 12. Everybody makes mistakes.”

After Panton told The News that the Merritts were threatening her family every day, Ebony Merritt appeared outside the clan’s Findlay Ave. apartment and launched into an expletive-laden tirade.

The police were called to the scene to speak with Merritt and defuse the situation.

Both of these kids are going to need some serious psychological help in dealing with the aftermath of the situation. We hope they get it.

Republicans Tried and Failed to Repeal Obamacare in the Dead of Night

There's an unspoken rule in the contemporary U.S. Senate: Never take a bill to the floor unless you know you have the votes. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, once lauded as a master of the Senate largely for gumming up the works when Obama occupied the Oval Office, broke that rule early Friday morning as his health care bill fell just one vote short of passing.

Preventing stretch marks: 4 products we’ve tried

by

Sabrina Garibian

posted in Products

Preventing stretch marks is impossible, yet as a woman who cares about her appearance I still tried all the products I could while pregnant with each of my little ones.

I am not vain, but I never imagined that after three kids it would look like my kids clawed themselves out of my body. I have a ton of stretch marks that showed up in the home stretch of each of my pregnancies. I will never be able to wear a two piece swimsuit again, no matter how fit I get. I don’t mind other battle scars I have; the chicken pox scars on my face from getting chicken pox as a toddler and scratching like crazy, the hole in my shin from falling during an indoor soccer match as a teen, or my beat-up knees, covered in dozens of scars from an adventurous childhood.

The pregnancy stretch marks bother me so much, though. I wish preventing stretch marks was possible and easy. I went into my first pregnancy naive. Throughout all three of my full-term pregnancies I tried a few different products that I believe helped lessen the number of stretch marks I (do not) proudly wear.

Here they are:

1.Bio-Oil (Amazon, $ 8.47/2 fl oz.):

When I was pregnant with my first child I religiously rubbed Bio-Oil on my belly and hips twice a day for months. I didn’t have any stretch marks by my ninth month and thought I would make it through unscathed. Around week 37 they hit and they were bad. I continued using Bio-Oil after I had my son, and I believe it helped reduce the appearance of my stretch marks.

2. Earth Mama Angel Baby Body Butter (Amazon, $ 10.99/8 oz)earth mama preventing stretch marks

This body butter is filled with ingredients I can pronounce. It also has a very gentle smell so it is great for someone who is suffering from bad morning sickness and can’t stand smells.

3. The Honest Company’s Organic Belly Balm (Amazon, $ 12.49/3.65 oz)

I am a huge fan of The Honest Company’s products, and this organic belly balm is pretty amazing. It is unscented and goes on easily. I feel that it really helps to reduce the appearance of stretch marks.

4. Mama Belly Butter (Amazon, $ 19.99/8 oz)

What I love most about this belly butter isn’t its performance with preventing stretch marks, it’s how much it helps the redness and itchiness you experience as your belly expands during pregnancy. Once you lather up your belly with this belly butter all the itchiness magically disappears.

Although none of these creams and oils are proven to reduce or prevent stretch marks, I feel that they really do work. And even if they don’t, it feels good to think I’m doing something to prevent my stretch marks from getting worse!

That Time My Toaster Tried to Killed Me

Devil Toaster of Death

In my daily life, I take a lot of modern conveniences for granted.

If a webpage takes more than two seconds to load; I start to lose it. If my cell phone doesn’t get absolutely perfect reception everywhere I go; it’s a travesty.

Even though it might feel like it sometimes, my life doesn’t exactly hang in the balance if these products don’t work perfectly. There is, however, a whole host of technology, big and small, that I, like most of us, rely on to get through my daily routine both alive and unscathed.

Take the toaster for example.

This wonderfully simple machine turns regular bread into delicious, hot toast at the push of a button. Even more amazingly, it automatically turns off when it’s finished, making that ubiquitous “pop” or “ding” noise to let me know that it has completed it’s task. This fact allows me to do other things whilst making toast without the worry of potentially burning the house down.

That is, until that time my toaster tried to kill me.

Yesterday, my toaster didn’t pop. While I was in another room browsing the internet looking at pictures of cats working, it continued to cook, burn and nearly ignite my precious toast and — more importantly — my apartment.

Luckily for me, my smoke detectors have working batteries — you’d be surprised how many don’t — and I was able to rush in and unplug the smoldering toaster before it completely caught on fire. My toast, however, was, well, toast. It resembled a bread-shaped charcoal briquette in a BBQ, a completely red-hot ember.

As I opened windows, set up fans and tried to force the significant amount of smoke out of the apartment, I chuckled to myself.

“I can’t believe I almost set my apartment on fire making toast. What kind of idiot can’t operate an everyday, benign appliance like a toaster? Did I really just have a brush with death by toaster?”

Well, since I already had my browser open, I decided to check. What I found was pretty startling. It turns out, I’m not the only toast-challenged person out there.

It seems that toasters and toaster fires are responsible for more than 700 deaths per year worldwide. That’s right, toasters kill more people than sharks, snakes — in the United States, at least — and spiders combined.

A search for “toaster” in the recalls section of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website reveals 32 notices of toaster recalls. A whole host of dangers are represented from spontaneous ignition to electrical shock hazard.

Does this mean I should fear my toaster in the way that many people fear the aforementioned insects and animals? Of course not.

It does mean that I should pay more attention to it when it’s in use and look for signs that it’s not safe. This particular toaster had been periodically jamming and burning toast — albeit to a much lesser degree — for a while now. Had I realized how dangerous this actually was, I would have been in the market for a new toaster a long time ago.

I wonder if this one is still available?
