Justin Bieber’s Mom Posts Second Cryptic Tweet After His Courthouse Wedding to Hailey Baldwin

Keeping the faith. Pattie Mallette posted a second cryptic tweet in the wake of her son Justin Bieber’s courthouse wedding to Hailey Baldwin.

“Haters gonna hate,” the pop star’s mom, 43, tweeted on Sunday, September 16.

While it was unclear exactly what the Canadian author was referencing, a source confirmed to Us Weekly that the “Baby” singer, 24, and Baldwin, 21, were legally wed at the courthouse two days prior, on Friday, September 14. Multiple outlets also confirmed the news.

The Drop the Mic host denied that she was married at the time with a since-deleted tweet. “I understand where the speculation is coming from, but I’m not married yet!” the model tweeted on Friday.

As the source explained to Us, “[Justin and Hailey] got legally married, but she believes marriage between God is the real thing.”

According to an eyewitness at the court clerk’s office, the couple entered through a back door with the model in a short white dress and the singer wearing a “very baggy striped shirt and black pants,” after which they were taken into a private office toward the back of the building for privacy. “Hailey was glowing and Justin had his hand wrapped tightly around hers,” the eyewitness said.

Following the news on Friday, Mallette posted a separate cryptic tweet. “Love is unconditional,” she wrote.

The pop star proposed to Baldwin on July 7 at a Bahamas resort. The pair, who dated from 2015 to 2016, had rekindled their relationship just one month prior.

With LeBron James Tweet, President Trump’s War on Sports Hits a New Low

The missive, sent from the White House at 10:37 p.m. Friday night, delivered nausea to decent people.

On the week LeBron James opened his school serving disadvantaged children from his hometown of Akron, Ohio, giving the kids and their families a singular opportunity — not to mention free college tuition to all who graduate — Donald Trump questioned the intelligence of a bonafide basketball genius. Sports smarts count. Off the court, James has started several businesses — a sports agency, a Hollywood production outfit — and become a meaningful philanthropist. Not to mention that he also possesses a photographic memory: James can recall minute details of basketball games on command.

What a strange target for Trump: one of the brightest, most popular athletes in the world. But facts don’t seem to bother this President. “Lebron (sic) James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon,” Trump tweeted on Friday night, referencing an interview Lemon, the CNN anchor, conducted with James to mark the opening of James’ I Promise School. “He made Lebron (sic) look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!” Here, Trump’s referring to another all-time NBA great, Michael Jordan.

There he goes again, Trump weaponizing sports to divide the country that he leads. To Trump, you either stand with him, or with Colin Kaepernick and any NFL “son of a bitch” — the President’s words — who kneels during the national anthem. Now, besides insulting yet another African-American athlete, Trump’s trying to co-opt the sports bar debate about the greatest basketball player of all-time. Jordan’s now his guy. You either stand with Trump and His Airness, or side with LeBron.

Opponents of the anthem protests complain that athletes are spoiling their sports diversion with politics. Stick to sports, so to say. But if that’s the case, shouldn’t politicians just concern themselves with politics? Mr. President, leave the GOAT talk alone.

James is a harsh critic of the President, which has apparently drawn Trump’s ire. In this interview with Lemon, James said that, “I believe our president is trying to divide us … what I’ve noticed over the last few months is that he’s kind of used sport to kind of divide us. That’s something I can’t relate to, because I know that sports was the first time I was around someone white. I got an opportunity to see them and learn about them, and they got an opportunity to learn about me, and we became very good friends. I was like ‘this is all because of sports.’ And sports has never been something that divided people. It’s always been something that brings someone together.”

In September, after Trump called the NFL players protests social injustice “sons of bitches” at a political rally, and rescinded a White House invitation to the NBA champion Golden State Warriors – even though the Warriors never planned to attend — James called Trump a “bum” on Twitter. If Trump was going to fire back at James, that would have been a more opportune time. But instead of praising an athletic icon for opening a school, Trump basically called James a dummy.

On Saturday morning, Lemon offered a pointed response to Trump. “Who’s the real dummy?” Lemon wrote on Twitter. “A man who puts kids in classrooms or one who puts kids in cages? .” James hasn’t responded to Trump’s tweet. He has every right to fire back, of course, but I kind of hope he doesn’t. I hope he saw Trump’s tweet, shook his head, laughed a little, and kept doing the good things he’s doing. Maybe he played hoops with his son; maybe he worked on his own game. Maybe he did some more planning on the I Promise School.

These all speak louder than a President’s Tweet.

Roseanne Barr won’t let Sean Hannity blame Valerie Jarrett tweet on mental illness in first TV interview since ABC firing

Roseanne Barr still insists that calling Valerie Jarrett the baby of the “Muslim brotherhood & ‘Planet of the Apes’” wasn’t racist.

SPECIAL DEALS UPDATE:

An Unhinged Roseanne On Valerie Tweet: ‘I Thought The B***h Was White!’ [Video]

It’s almost as if she likes stepping in doo-doo … on purpose! We’re referring to Roseanne Barr who, for some unknown reason, won’t just leave well enough alone regarding the situation she put herself in when she sent out a racist tweet about former Barack Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett in May.

As a result of her stupid stunt ABC TV fired Barr from her own show and cancelled it after she tweeted a meme comparing Jarrett to a character from The Planet of the Apes.

Even though Roseanne won’t be on the show, it has been revived as The Conners with TV daughter Sara Gilbert as the star of the new series.

In a new video posted on YouTube on Thursday, an agitated, cigarette smoking Roseanne appeared straight up unhinged as she screamed that she thought Jarrett was a white woman.

According to PEOPLE, the clip is an excerpt from a longer interview.

In the clip, an interviewer presses Roseanne to explain her tweet about Jarrett.

“I’m trying to talk about Iran!” Barr insists. “I’m trying to talk about … Valerie Jarrett wrote the Iran deal! That’s what my tweet was about!”

“I know,” the interviewer replied. “You’ve explained this 300 times.”

Then an agitated Roseanne screams:

“I thought the bitch was white! Goddamnit! I thought the bitch was white! F*ck!”

Well, this was a switch up from previous statements from Barr about that that now infamous tweet. Previously, she appeared repentant, claiming that she didn’t know Jarrett is black and that she was on Ambien while tweeting.

Barr also defended herself from accusations of racism.

“I’m not a racist, I never was & I never will be,” she tweeted in May. “One stupid joke in a lifetime of fighting 4 civil rights 4 all minorities, against networks, studios, at the expense of my nervous system/family/wealth will NEVER b taken from me.”

She also said …

“I definitely feel remorse,” she continued. “I’ve lost everything. And I regretted it before I lost everything.”

Barr has since said she “won’t be doing any TV interviews” and will instead be filming and posting videos to her YouTube channel.

We think she needs to just shut up. Period. And stop looking for doo-doo to step in.

Employees have publicly rallied for a union since early 2017, citing injuries and burnout assembling Tesla cars. Those employees previously accused management of attempting to intimidate workers out of a union drive, and leaked emails show Musk slamming the organized labor effort.

Parents tweet their crazy 3 a.m. conversations with their kids

by

Carolyn Robertson

posted in Parenting

If you are a parent, you’ve probably had one of those days — or maybe 100 of them — when you’ve found yourself watching the clock, counting down the seconds until it’s time for your kids to go to bed. Maybe they haven’t stopped fighting, or maybe they’ve driven you a little nuts with a million questions, or maybe you’re in the middle of potty training (enough said). Whatever the reason, bedtime couldn’t come soon enough.

Eventually, the hours-long bedtime routine is over and your little angels are tucked away in their beds. You do the dishes, tidy the clutter, maybe watch a quick show on Netflix, and then stumble into bed and finally drift off to sleep.

And not long after that, you hear it: the unmistakable sound of tiny feet padding down the hallway toward you. Or, even more terrifying, you suddenly open your eyes to find your child wide awake and standing beside your bed, staring at you. It doesn’t matter how many times that happens, it always comes as a shock.

“Mom,” they’ll say, tugging on your arm at 3 a.m. “I feel like I wore the wrong pajamas to bed.”

Or maybe, “Teddy fell off the bed and now she needs a Band-Aid.”

Or, “I had a dream you were a dragon.”

Or, “Can I have noodles with cheese for lunch tomorrow?”

Or, my personal favorite: “I think it’s actually daytime now. Can you check?”

These middle of the night conversations with kids are often confusing, usually random, and sometimes even pretty hilarious (maybe not quite so hilarious at 3 a.m., but they tend to get funnier the next day, after a cup of coffee).

Some parents shared their own midnight encounters on Twitter. Do any of these sound familiar?

Pelosi Told Trump to Tweet: Don’t ‘Worry,’ DREAMers

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi asked President Trump on Thursday to tweet that DREAMers should not be worried about being deported in the next six months, a Democratic aide told The Daily Beast. “Pelosi told her colleagues at a whip meeting this morning that she spoke to Trump this morning via phone and asked him to tweet this to make clear DREAMers won’t be subject to deportation in a six-month window,” the aide said, referring to Trump’s decision to end DACA, the Obama-era program that shields DREAMers from deportation. Later Thursday morning, Trump tweeted: “For all of those (DACA) that are concerned about your status during the 6 month period, you have nothing to worry about—No action!”

Barack Obama’s Tweet Following Charlottesville Protests Is Now Most Liked in History

Barack Obama continues to inspire — and breaks records while doing it.

The former U.S. president took to Twitter on Saturday in the aftermath of the violent Charlottesville rally that took the lives of three people, writing a Nelson Mandela quote: “No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion…”

Obama’s Tweet became the most liked tweet in history on Tuesday, surpassing Ariana Grande’s distraught tweet following the Manchester terrorist attacks that occurred after her concert in May. It set the record at about 10 p.m. ET with more than 2.73 million likes, according to Twitter.

In addition, the tweet is currently the 5th most retweeted ever.

Obama, 56, wrote three tweets in total, continuing from the first one by writing, “People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love. For love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”

Grande’s tweet now takes second place as the most liked tweet of all time, followed by Ellen DeGeneres‘ Oscar selfie from the 2014 Academy Awards.

Obama has 93.3 million Twitter followers.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has come under fire for his delayed response in condemning racists and hate groups by name after a white supremacist plowed his car into a crowd of protesters, killing 32-year-old Heather Heyer.

Neil Patrick Harris Slams James Woods After ‘Utterly Ignorant and Classless’ Tweet About Young Boy

Neil Patrick Harris had a few choice words for James Woods after the latter posted an aggressive tweet about a young boy.

Woods, 70, shared a photo of a couple with their son at the Orange County Pride Parade in California, bearing posters that read, “I love my gender creative son!” and “My son wears dresses & makeup… Get over it!!”

The Once Upon a Time in America actor wrote, “This is sweet. Wait until this poor kid grows up, realizes what you’ve done, and stuffs both of you dismembered into a freezer in the garage.”

Woods received a wave of backlash on Twitter, as well as criticism from Neil Patrick Harris, who responded with a tweet of his own.

“Utterly ignorant and classless, Mr. Woods,” the Gone Girl actor, 44, wrote. “I’m friends with this family. You know not of what you speak, and should be ashamed of yourself.”

The mother of the family in the photo, Lori Duron, blogged about their son’s experience at Pride in a post titled, “My Gender Creative Son’s First Pride.

“My sweet, fabulous, rainbow boy has never received so many compliments,” Duron wrote. “He’s used to getting stares and whispers when we’re out in public. He’s not used to getting the smiles, hugs and encouragement he received at Pride.”

This isn’t the first time Woods has made aggressive and derogatory comments on social media. In May, he made remarks about CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, writing, “As his butt plug dislodges during a newscast…”

Harris and husband David Burtka celebrated their 13th anniversary in April, taking to social media to commemorate their special day.

“Thirteen years and one day ago, I crossed paths with the guy on the left. The adventures have never ceased. The love has never waned,” Harris, captioned a smiling image of his husband and their son, Gideon.

He continued, “The gifts are never ending (the guy on the right, e.g.). Happy Anniversary, @dbelicious. You’re the best.”

Joe Biden Sends Adorable National Teacher’s Day Tweet About Jill Biden

Former Vice President Joe Biden is a national treasure and his Twitter presence only solidifies that fact.

In a Tuesday afternoon tweet, Biden sent out a message about National Teacher’s Day and dedicated it to someone who “inspires [him] every day” ― his wife, Dr. Jill Biden.

Dr. Jill Biden is an educator with a massive range of accomplishments. Those include teaching English to adolescents at a psychiatric hospital, being a professor of English at Northern Virginia Community College, and earning two master’s degrees as well as a doctorate in education from the University of Delaware.

Outside of her husband’s endorsement, proof that Dr. Biden is a passionate teacher can be found in the knowledge that when Joe Biden entered the White House as Vice President, she insisted on keeping her job as an educator.

Joe and Jill Biden will celebrate their forty year-anniversary together next month.

This Tweet About Pet Names Could Change Your Relationship For The Better

Most couples come up with pet names for each other fairly early into a relationship: Baby, babe, boo, sweetheart ― we all have our faves.

While those are all classics, there’s nothing wrong with switching things up every now and then. Last week, Twitter user @cybersygh suggested doing just that and it really caught on:

Things escalated quickly after that, when Bela Garces (@djbbga on Twitter) showed the tweet to her boyfriend Isaac and posted his reaction:

Isaac loved the idea:

He got a little carried away but it was adorable:

Garces’ hilarious tweet quickly went viral, with over 87K reshares and 241K “likes.”

The 19-year-old told The Huffington Post she couldn’t stop laughing at the nicknames and that Isaac hasn’t stopped since.

“It just makes me laugh every time, it’s so silly,” she said. “He calls me food names in person too, and I try to call him food names back but he’s a lot funnier. My favorite is when he calls me Colombian snacks since we’re both Colombian!”

Here are the two adorable soft tacos together, with one of their favorite foods:

After Garces’ tweet went viral, people kept the momentum going, sharing the food-related terms of endearment they’d texted their girlfriends and boyfriends:

Does it get any more romantic than “you’re more than a snack, you’re a meal?” Nope, not as far as we’re concerned.

Share your favorite snack-related pet name in the comments.
