Wendy Williams Is Dissolving Her Foundation for Addicts with Estranged Husband Kevin Hunter

The Hunter Foundation, much like the Hunter marriage, is coming to an end.

Wendy Williams is dissolving the non-profit organization she founded in 2014 with her now-estranged husband Kevin Hunter.

via People:

The foundation is dedicated to providing resources for drug education, prevention and rehabilitation programs and works to support people as they transition from addiction to recovery.

Williams, 54, announced the news on Wednesday’s episode of her talk show with an official statement, noting that she “remains committed to helping others in the struggles of life.” She said she would be dedicating herself to “other foundations.”

The talk show host, who was living in a sober house up until recently, has been increasingly open about her own struggles with substance abuse, including a cocaine addiction in the past.

In March, she announced that The Hunter Foundation had partnered with T.R.U.S.T., an organization dedicated to building a bridge from treatment to long-term recovery, to launch a national resource hotline.

It is unclear what will happen to the hotline. PEOPLE has reached out to T.R.U.S.T. and The Hunter Foundation for comment.

It’s best Wendy severs ALL ties with Kevin.

Wendy Williams Sounds Off, Says ‘There’s a Hot Place in Hell’ for Women Who Sleep with Married Men [Video]

Wendy Williams shared her thoughts on Ayesha Curry’s comments about being frustrated with women who try and get too comfortable with her husband, Steph Curry, and kept it real.

While she didn’t directly address her own estranged husband’s cheating scandal, it’s clear that her commentary came from a personal place — and rightfully so.

via Page Six:

“There are a lot of women with no respect for a marriage,” Williams said, before pausing. “You know what I’m saying? A lot of women who know your man is married and will have the nerve to be right up under him, right under your nose.”

After Williams aired a clip of Ayesha talking to Jada Pinkett Smith on “Red Table Talk” about a woman who flirted with Steph and proceeded to tell Ayesha, “Oh, honey, you know what you signed up for,” Williams threw barbs.

“For you lonely girls who can’t keep their hands off other people’s men, there’s a hot place in hell for you,” the daytime host said.

Wendy Williams Files For Divorce From Kevin Hunter After 22 Years Of Marriage!

Stop the presses!! Wendy Williams apparently has finally awaken from her nightmare marriage and filed divorce papers on Kevin Hunter.

Williams’ attorney confirmed to Page Six on Thursday that it’s OVER and that Williams is divorcing her husband of 22 years. Williams, who filed in Essex County, NJ, served Hunter with divorce papers at 6:30 a.m, according to a source, the site says.

“Thank you to everyone for respecting the family’s privacy during this time,” the personal representative for Williams told Page Six in a statement. “Kevin is supportive of Wendy and they are working through this process together.”

Here’s more via Page Six.

The split comes amid renewed rumors that Hunter has been cheating on Williams, 54, with a woman named Sharina Hudson, who gave birth to a baby suspected to be Hunter’s last month.

The divorce news comes after Williams notably flaunted her lack of a wedding bandearly Thursday on her hairstylist’s and makeup artist’s social media.

Rumors of infidelity have plagued the couple for a few years, though Williams never confirmed them. She vaguely addressed her marital woes on her show earlier this year, cryptically telling viewers after she returned from a two-month hiatus that her wedding ring would always stay on her hand.

“I’m still very much in love with my husband,” she said. “Don’t ask me about mine.” Pointing to her wedding ring, Williams added, “It ain’t going anywhere. Not in this lifetime.”

However, her ring apparently did go somewhere. On March 25, upon leaving the sober living facility where she has been staying after receiving help for addiction in Florida (though she previously told viewers she was seeking treatment for her Graves’ disease), the morning show host was spotted without her flashy jewelry. She appeared to put it back on to tape her show later that day, but an insider had told us it wasn’t her real ring.

Hunter’s infidelity wasn’t the only thing rumored to be wrong with Williams and Hunter’s marriage. Previous reports have have stated that Hunter’s allegedly abusive behavior ultimately led to the unraveling that prompted Williams to relapse.

She would hide in the bathroom and tell me to knock on the door when he left the office so she wouldn’t have to see him,” an intern from Williams’ former radio show told The Post, adding that it was common for Hunter to pull Williams into a private room and for staff to hear them fighting.

There’s MORE to the story and you can get it Page Six.

Birdman Addresses ‘Fake’ Breakup With Toni Braxton On ‘Wendy Williams Show’

Birdman hit up the “Wendy Williams Show” to discuss his relationship with Toni Braxton.

The hip-hop star confirmed that he and his on-again, off-again girlfriend are indeed back together after their engagement ended at the start of 2019.

As reported by MadameNoire, Wendy wasted no time asking him about their alleged breakup, the missing engagement ring and Toni’s messy money issues.

Check out excerpts from the interview below.

Wendy: She’s such a fortunate woman, a beautiful woman. Not too good with money herself.

Birdman: We not gon go there.

Wendy: We know that. Toni and I talked about it.

Birdman: If she had and will have any problems, I have enough money that she will never have a problem…Let’s correct that.

The alleged breakup

Wendy: Then I found out you broke her heart?

Birdman: Where you get that from? Social media, I guess. Me personally, I never been a man that put no energy into social media.

Wendy: Did you have a fight?

Birdman: It was cap. What I mean cap…It was fake. I don’t know how it even took place. I would never be a man to bring any of my business to social media. I’m private.

Toni losing her engagement ring

Wendy: So she loses the ring…did she wait like a month of five to tell you, cuz I would.

Birdman: She told me like a week later. She’s so G. That’s what I like about her. She keep it 100. She just told me the situation that happened with the airport. It was in her luggage or something and with the airport, the bag was left and the ring come up missing.

Wendy: Why is she not wearing her ring at the airport?

Birdman: That was my question too. But it is what it is. We’ll buy another one, ain’t no big deal.

The Cash Money co-founder also discussed his image with Wendy, noting his interest in removing the tattoos on his face.

“I didn’t want to take the [head tattoos] off, but I want to take the facials off,” Birdman said. “And I was asking my partner, 50 [Cent]… ’cause he removed his tattoos. So I wanted to go to somebody who can take these tats off my face.”

But if it’s not possible to get the removals done… “If I have to live with it, I will,” he said. “I just felt like, me being older, I would like to get it off. But if not, it is what it is.”

In his March Forbes interview, Birdman went into more detail about the image he wants to represent now.

“I just think at this point in my life, I don’t need that. That stereotypes you,” the rapper said. “It takes away from the business and certain things.

Check out the full interview via the clip above. Rapper Juvenile was also on the show but Wendy seemed more interested in chopping it up with Birdman.

Wendy Williams’ Husband Kevin Hunter Reportedly Vacationed With His Long-Time Mistress While She Was In Rehab

The Wendy Williams drama keeps changing by the day, and it appears to be taking its toll on the 54-year-old  talk show host. After finding out everything her husband, Kevin Hunter, has been up to recently, Williams disappeared on Monday afternoon and was later found drunk and taken to the hospital.

For years, rumors have swirled that Hunter has a mistress – 33-year-old massage therapist Sharina Hudson. Recently, pictures surfaced of Hunter and Hudson on vacation together while Williams was on hiatus from her show and in a private Florida rehab facility for drug and alcohol addiction.

According to All About the Tea, Hunter visited Williams for a few hours and then left to enjoy some fun in the sun with Hudson.

“Kevin flew to Florida to visit his wife and took Sharina with him,’ says an insider. ‘She stayed at the hotel while he went to see Wendy during the day.”

The source also revealed that Hunter is in love with Hudson, but he told her can’t leave Williams because they need her money. Apparently, he uses his wife’s money to pay for a nice Manhattan apartment that Hudson lives in, and he also pays for a midtown studio where Hudson has “one of her many businesses.”

The insider also claims that Hunter paid Hudson’s way through massage therapy school and he opened a kiosk for her in a North Carolina mall. Hudson also helped her set up an online jewelry and clothing site called VISH, but she has yet to find success with any of her business ventures.

Hunter has also allegedly brainwashed Williams. The insider says that Hunter controls everything and takes Williams’ phone, plus she has zero friends and no contact with her family.

Hunter and Hudson’s relationship has been going on for more than ten years, and it has caused Williams a lot of heartaches, says Breakfast Club host Charlamagne Tha God. Williams was Charlamagne’s mentor, and he was also friends with Hunter. He says their friendship blew up because of Hudson.

“The reason Kevin Hunter and I fell out, and the reason why I don’t communicate with Wendy anymore is because of Sharina,” Charlamagne revealed, describing an incident in 2009. “Kevin got upset because he thought Sharina liked one of my homeboys and he thought that I was hooking Sharina up [with other men].”

Now, the situation is even worse because Hudson just gave birth, and this led to Williams being rushed to the hospital after she left her sober home and was found drunk. After she was given IV fluids, she was released from the hospital, and she showed up for work the next day.

One thing is for sure – this story is far from over.

The Wendy Williams Show airs weekdays in syndication.

Wendy Williams Lets The N-Word Slip During Taping Of Show [VIDEO]

Wendy Williams 'I'd Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur' Winter PETA Campaign Launch

Talk show host Wendy Williams is back on her daytime talk show throne after a brief hiatus due to health complications.

The storied entertainment journalist is already back on the hot seat, recently using some “in-group” language in front of her audience OOPS!

As always, Wendy was giving her audience the day’s drama, pouring some hot tea about Blac Chyna and her ex fling YBN Almighty Jay. The teen was allegedly assaulted and wounded during a recent trip to New York City’s iconic Fifth Avenue, the shopping Mecca of the world.

While telling the story, Wendy got so cozy she let the n-word slip.

“I just love Fifth Avenue shopping. It’s unbelievable, you n***as.”

There was an awkward pause from the audience accompanied with some awkward laughter.

“I get very comfortable talking to you,” she said after a beat.

You can watch below:

This hilarious slip up doesn’t take away from all the amazing things Wendy has been up to since her return to TV. She recently launched a drug addition hotline to help those in need.

The hotline, 1-888-5HUNTER (1-888-548-6837), is run through The Hunter Foundation in partnership with T.R.U.S.T,  the national resource hotline dedicated to those suffering from substance abuse. The hotline will be open 24 hours a day.

“We must all come together to respond to this crisis of addiction and substance abuse. Everyone is at risk from the inner cities to more affluent communities,” Williams said in a statement to the press. Williams has remained transparent about her struggle with crack and cocaine usage ten years ago.

“My family and I are very proud to partner with T.R.U.S.T. to get people the help that they so desperately need, especially if they or their families have given up hope. There is hope.”

Opinion: I need Wendy Williams on TV even if I sometimes pretend I didn’t hear her

Opinion: I need Wendy Williams on TV even if I sometimes pretend I didn’t hear her

After returning to her daytime talk show after a lengthy hiatus, author Michael Arceneaux discusses his never ending love for Wendy Williams—even when she says something that makes him turn off the TV.

I know exactly what I am getting with Wendy Williams—gossip (which, in some cases, I end up fact checking in real time), or unfiltered opinions about race, sex, and gender roles that I either sort of understand or completely want to drown out for the sake of my sanity. Yet I watch The Wendy Williams Show religiously all the same. And earlier this week, Williams knew what her “co-hosts,” the affectionate descriptor for her studio audience, and the millions of viewers watching her daytime talk show at home wanted to hear on her first day back since December.

In the two months since she has been away, Williams has been the subject of both heavy scrutiny and speculation. After noticeably slurring her words on that final episode of 2018, Williams later revealed it was a result of the painkillers she had been using to deal with a fractured shoulder. Then, her return date was pushed back three times, which caused many to wonder if the problem was bigger than it initially had seemed. In the midst of those setbacks came rumors that Williams was “scared” of losing her successful series. Worse, her husband, Kevin Hunter, had been accused of physically abusing Williams—allegedly causing the recent injury she had complained about on-air.

In the first few moments of her Monday episode, Williams teased the irony of the Hot Topics maestro becoming a hot topic herself—but she made us wait for that segment, opting instead to go into her usual routine.

As for her anecdotes, we learned that, even while away, Williams was working out seven times a week for two hours—presumably a nod to her gay fan base who work out at the same minimum and constantly make me regret any consumption of carbs. And she sort of dabbled into more serious matters—like the American healthcare system—acknowledging her privilege and the great medical care it provides. As for the rest of us, with whom she empathized, Wendy acknowledged that even if we have healthcare, we might be afraid to use it. So, if that applies to you, or if you have no insurance and a problem becomes impossible to ignore, Wendy suggested that we try Ambicare. “It’s not all just gunshots in there,” Williams explained. (That ought to be packaged into one of their commercials, TBH.)

I love you for watching!

A post shared by Wendy Williams (@wendyshow) on

Oh, how I have missed this woman. She behaved exactly the way I anticipated her to. I love her consistency.

There were still moments when I, a writer who spends way too much time online, felt like I knew a few more details about a given story than she seems to have been fed by her sources. I felt this way when she discussed the Jussie Smollett controversy.

As her return episode continued, Williams herself mentioned how sometimes audiences might get pissed off by one thing she says and turn her off—only to return three days later. She’s right as I’ve done this every so often, but she’s like an auntie in my mind—I know we don’t always agree, but who else is on television encouraging Kate Beckinsale to keep enjoying Pete Davidson’s younger penis?

I was never keen on The Wendy Williams Show without Wendy Williams. There were some bright spots in the slew of hosts who filled in for her—Nick Cannon, Sherri Shepherd, and Bevy Smith to name a few—but there’s only one person who can pull off this show completely because it is tailored to her very specific personality and point of view.

There is an intimacy to daytime television—that’s why the likes of Ellen DeGeneres and Wendy Williams have fared better than, say, Bethenny Frankel and Harry Connick Jr. I have been listening to Wendy Williams on the radio since college and followed her to daytime TV, so a fill-in can only go so far.

“I’m sorry it took me almost 50 days,” Williams acknowledged. “I know it’s been a long time. I’m sorry, but I can say, it’s not going to happen anymore, and I feel good!”

I needed her messy ass like I needed air, and obviously, “messy ass” is a compliment in this instance.

Speaking of mess, when your career is largely built on touching on the messy lives of others, then people are going to expect you to address whatever gossip spurs from your own life. So Williams did just that near the end of Hot Topics.

Noticeably looking down before doing so, Williams began with a shout out to her husband. “I know what you’ve been seeing and I know what the streets have been talking about,” she said. She went on to show an old picture of the two before eventually adding, “I’m still very much in love with my husband.” She next advised that folks not “ask me about mine” until they notice “this”—pointing to her wedding ring—gone. Despite expressing that “marriages have ebbs and flows,” she emphasized that when it comes her wedding ring, “It ain’t going anywhere. Not in this lifetime.”

This explanation has received mixed reviews online, but I’m honestly surprised she said anything. Whenever she’d previously address talk of infidelity in their marriage, she would only flash her ring. Whatever the case, I wish Wendy Williams nothing but wellness and happiness. And I also hope she keeps her word that she never leaves me alone for this long again.

P.S. I was really into her bob. Yes, I had to note this somewhere. I’d be an awful person if I didn’t acknowledge such a top notch wig.

Wendy Williams Announces Return Date To Talk Show

Wendy Williams has announced a return to her talk show. The embattled talk show hostess, who was dealing with a series of issues, including a fractured shoulder and complications stemming from the automimmune illness Graves disease, has been absent from her show for more than two months.

During that time, Nick Cannon, our own Sherri Shepherd, actor Jerry O’Connell and personality Bevy Smith have stepped in as guest host or part of a rotating panel. Williams has not been seen much in public since her hiatus and recent reports alleged that she and her husband/manager Kevin Hunter were no longer communicating with show producers.

Apparently, that’s not the case. Debmar-Mercury, the production company behind The Wendy Williams Show issued a statement confirming Williams’ return in two weeks.

“Wendy Williams is an incredible talent with the most unique voice in daytime. We can’t wait to welcome her back to her iconic purple chair on the set of her show. We so appreciate all of the guest hosts and panelists who filled in for Wendy during this time. These people are, and always will be, true family to the show. And we want to thank all of the loyal and supportive fans who have been with us for 10 years now.”

On her part, Williams also issued a statement, thanking both Debmar-Mercury and the show’s team.

Wendy Williams To Take Health-Related Break From TV Show

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Wendy Williams is taking an extended break from her TV talk show to deal with health issues related to her immune system disorder, her family said Friday.

The family wrote in a statement that Williams has suffered complications from Graves’ disease in the past few days.

Treatment is necessary and will include “significant time” in the hospital, according to the family statement provided by show producer and distributor Debmar-Mercury.

Williams has a strong desire to return to work but must focus on her “personal and physical well-being,” the family said, adding a request that her privacy be respected.

Williams, 54, is married to Kevin Hunter.

She is on the mend from another health problem, a shoulder fracture she suffered in December, the statement said.

The host revealed the Graves’ disease diagnosis on her show last February, when she announced a three-week hiatus.

Graves’ disease leads to the overproduction of thyroid hormones and can cause wide-ranging symptoms and affect overall health.

In October 2017, Williams fainted on stage during her show, saying later she became overheated while wearing a bulky Halloween costume.

Debmar-Mercury said that it “wholeheartedly” supports Williams’ decision to take the time she needs. She will be welcomed back when she is ready, the company said.

Repeats of “The Wendy Williams Show” will air during the week of Jan. 21, to be followed by original episodes with guest hosts.

Wendy Williams Extends Her Hiatus for the SECOND TIME, Pushes Show Return Back ANOTHER Week Amid Health Struggles and Husband’s Cheating Scandal

Wendy Williams is taking yet another week off amid months of health struggles and her husband’s alleged cheating scandal.

‘The Wendy Williams Show’ was initially supposed to return from hiatus on January 7th, but after announcing the start date Wendy’s team canceled it and said she’d return to work on January 14th.

Now, just days before the show was rescheduled to start, Wendy Show producers confirm that she won’t be returning on the 14th and will instead return one week later — on January 21st.

Until then, they will bring on a panel of “Hot Talkers” to replace Wendy until she comes back.

“As she has for the past 10 years, Wendy delivers an incomparable live talk show day in and day out and we want to give her the best opportunity to heal and recover,” Debmar-Mercury co-presidents Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein said. “Wendy has our complete and unwavering support and we look forward to her return to the iconic purple chair.”

Producers cite her recent shoulder injury as reason for her delay, but as we’ve said Wendy’s friends are said to be concerned for her wellbeing and believe she might be self-medicating.

Sidebar: You may have heard, but did you know Wendy sent us a cease and desist letter for talking about her alleged personal struggles?

Wendy Williams Is Off The Air For Another Week

Is her husband’s cheating scandal taking a toll on Wendy Williams to the point where she taking all of next week off from her eponymous TV talk show? Or, is it health issues?

Well, if you believe a RadarOnline report, the cheating hubby (Kevin Hunter) is the real problem.

Instagram Photo
If you watch her show or just stay up on what’s happening, you already know that not too long ago Williams, 54, took time off with the claim of health issues as the reason.

Her latest health challenge is  a shoulder fracture, combined with her odd behavior, has raised eyebrows and caused people to to be concerned for her.

But although “Wendy was supposed to return to her show on Monday, January 7, she is taking another week off,” a source told RadarOnline.

“Her staffers were notified late on Friday night and will now have to cancel all of their bookings and rearrange future tapings to accommodate Wendy being gone.”

The word is Wendy’s apparent meltdown came as her husband, Kevin Hunter, 46, was accused of getting his alleged mistress, Sharina Hudson, pregnant.

Both Williams and Hunter have vehemently denied those reports.Hunter has been accused of  having a 10-year affair with Hudson.

As a result of its snooping, RO discovered that Hunter’s alleged love nest with the alleged other woman has gone up for sale.

RadarOnline is also reporting Williams announced in late December that she had fractured her shoulder — but an insider claimed to Radar that the daytime TV host has something much more serious going on with her health.

“Something bad is going on with Wendy,” the source told Radar exclusively, adding that the December 17 episode was cancelled at the last minute and replaced with a rerun.

An insider insisted Williams has been exhibiting strange behavior “for weeks.” She burped and coughed during an earlier health scare in March 2018.She’s had other unexpected absences from TV as the host has battled Grave’s disease.

Meanwhile, on Saturday, SNL’s Pete Davidson responded to MAGA-hat loving Kanye during the “Weekend Update” — encouraging West to take his meds and donning a “Make Kanye 2006 Again” hat, Page Six writes.

Sometime in the hours before or after Pete’s diss, West deleted all of his social media profiles.

On Monday, Kim and Kanye were the Hot Topic on The Wendy Williams Show, and the host slammed them for their recent social media shenanigans.

Wendy took aim at West deleting his Twitter and Instagram accounts (again) over the weekend, as well as Kim’s risqué bikini selfie.

“Honestly, it’s the right thing to do,” said Williams of West deactivating his social media presence on Saturday.

“I believe that people can follow Kim and find out how he’s doing and she’ll put a bunch of stories up there that everything is going well, he’s fine,” she said, imitating Kardashian’s voice, reports. “Do I think that this is his idea to drop all his social media? Nah, not at all.”

“I believe he will make it seem like his idea,” she continued. “Kris is like, ‘You gotta shut it down.’ I’m sure Tristan’s talked to him about it, and then he’s got the kids. So somewhere he probably just decided, alright, I’m going to shut it down. It’s OK, it’ll be back up before Hot Topics is over.”

Williams then called attention to a video Kim shared showing a bunch of flowers allegedly sent to her by Ye.

“All a gift from Kanye, orchestrated by Kris, no doubt,” said Wendy. Speaking as the momager, Williams added, “You get over here and you shut down that social media and you make sure that you send Kim all kinda good gifts and things like that. I want to see you all at Craig’s and fancy restaurants at least once a week, you have to been out and seen about and you can’t do it the way you’re doing it now and take your meds.”

Wendy then went in on Kardashian’s string bikini selfie and some of the comments it sparked online. “People were going off, calling her pathetic, desperate and sad,” she said, “I agree, agree and agree. I do.”

“This picture is so unnecessary at a time where her husband’s losing his marbles,” she went on. “There’s two schools of thought I guess: When he’s losing it, she’s trying to distract with pictures like this and family orchestrated pictures and things. But we can’t forget about Kanye, because he’s everywhere and not in a good way.”

As noted by TooFab, Williams also considered an alternative POV:

“I think it’s probably girls who could never pull it off who are upset about it,” she added. “It’s a good one. They’re jealous, Kim.”
